I thought this hotel was good, with a good location and nice rooms. When I left, I found that I had received a ticket for parking 10 meters away from the hotel entrance. They said there was a sign in German saying that we could not park there. We knew German, but we didn't see it. The waiter who received us looked very enthusiastic, but he actually watched us park without telling us that we could not park. Afterwards, I wrote to the official email, and they replied in a very arrogant way that it was my own responsibility, saying that their official language was German, and it was our own responsibility that we did not see it! This is outrageous!

Come here especially for the name, and it really lives up to its reputation. The landscape and room facilities are absolutely top-notch. Even though it was low season, the service was excellent. The dishes at the Michelin restaurant downstairs don't feel so refined

Very beautiful lake view, although the price is high, it is worth it. It's just that the price of the restaurant is too high, the portions are a bit ridiculously small, and the taste is average.

If you want to truly enjoy your vacation in Switzerland, you must visit it! The private hotel space is not crowded and the view from the infinity pool is amazing! In addition, you can take a short swim in Lake Lucerne, which is a special feeling. The staff are very friendly and the facilities are top-notch, so even if it is expensive, I recommend you to go!

My husband and I have just spent 5 days at this fantastic hotel. It was a treat for my 40th birthday. Everything was absolutely glorious (apart from the iffy weather). I was given a lovely cake and bottle of champagne in the room. We had a lake view balcony room and the views are stunning. All the staff are so lovely. We also had the pleasure of meeting the general manager who was a very pleasant gentleman. We had dinner at Focus which was out of this world. The Grill restaurant was also delicious for dinner and breakfast. We had a very relaxing couples massage. I swam in the lake a couple of times. It was so cold but so refreshing. We don’t have many opportunities at home to do this so I had to make the most of it while I was there. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Just book it! Thanks Park Hotel Vitznau. Amy & Craig 🥰

This might be the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at, out of hundreds worldwide. Everything was beautiful, service was impeccable. The view of the lake while walking into the lobby is just stunning. House car will take you to visit nearby sites, and it is a Maybach which felt ultra luxurious. If you like wine (or even if you don’t!) do the winer cellar tour - it is very impressive and well worth the cost.

The hotel seamlessly blends the classical elegance and modern simplicity, complementing the picturesque lakes and mountains of Viznau. Waking up to the crisp and melodious church bells in the morning, a refined and healthy breakfast invigorates the body. The unique swimming pool and hot springs offer total relaxation, immersing you in this serene natural setting. The butler-style service ensures a comfortable and pleasant leisure time, with the warmth and coziness of home. The Michelin-starred restaurant presents the world's cuisine in the most creative way. This is the place my family and I have agreed to reach on the first day of each new year, giving a sense of coming home

Park Hotel Vitnznau is simply the best. It is the most amazing hotel with fabulous food, wine, incredible rooms, amazing spa and the most beautiful views. Nothing is an effort for the staff - they are always really kind, provide excellent service, very polite and they go out of the way. We return every year because we love it so much!

This hotel does not meet five star expectations during the low season. (I cannot speak to the high season but I would assume more staff then and higher standards.) The Good: 1. Both restaurants were great. We at ate at both the Grill and Focus Atelier. We had been at Burgenstock before hand and both Park Hotel restaurants blew Burgenstock out of the water with food, though Grill at this hotel is twice as much. The service was also excellent, especially at Focus. Focus has two Michelin stars but the service and food level met many three stars we have eaten at around the world. 2. Rooms: we were upgraded to a Lake View Suit (we booked through Amex, but were told at check in that an upgrade from Mountain to Lake view are extremely rare). The room was very spacious with multiple balconies, a bath, half bath, separate bedroom and living room. The Okay: 1. This is billed as a spa hotel, but I found the spa facilities were just nice, but not above and beyond (like Burgenstock). There are only 2 saunas, one large pool, Turkish bath, and indoor and outdoor hot tub. Now these were all nice but I could imagine it feeling quite cramped when the hotel is full and not nearly empty. The spa is about half the size of Burgenstock. 2. We were left treats in our room upon arrival and told the fridge would be restocked every day. Very nice, but standard for this level of hotel. The Bad: 1. The service was just not up to par. It was hard to track down anyone in the spa. When I arrived no one was at reception and no one was around. You have to find someone to turn on the saunas and the Turkish bath if you go before 3 pm on the weekdays. Morning saunas are fairly common. It took a while to find someone despite there being 3 separate couples using the facilities while we were there. It was understandable since the same person seemed to be covering the spa downstairs and bar, but not acceptable at a five star to not have sufficient staff to cover all of the hotel areas. Housekeeping was so-so. We had turndown service the first night, but no one came by the second night, despite our service light being on. Someone came by during the day but didn't refresh the robes. We had taken the robes to the spa and they were filled with chlorine water and I really wanted a fresh one for after the shower and had to call to get one. If this wasn't billed as a 5 star restaurant than the omission would be understandable but unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. 2. There is massive construction currently on the entrance. We received a pre-arrival email but no mention of the construction. We also had no indication of how best to get the hotel. Through internet search I found that we could ferry over from Lucerne (not clear on the hotel's website), but we got here and totally unclear how to enter since the main entrance was closed due to construction, There were no signs or indications of how to get in. We ended up having to call and being told we could enter through a connected medic
Response from Property: Dear alorat Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are truly sorry that your experience did not meet the five-star standards you were hoping for during your stay. We take each of your comments seriously and want to assure you that we are committed to maintaining the highest level of service for all our guests. We are grateful to hear that you enjoyed the dining experiences at our restaurants, Focus Atelier and The Grill, as well as the room upgrade to a Lake View Suite. It’s our pleasure to hear you found both the culinary offerings and the spacious accommodations to be of a high standard. Please allow us to provide some context and address your concerns. As the Park Hotel Vitznau operates as an private guesthouse with just 48 suites, our atmosphere is designed to remain calm and personal, even during peak seasons. Also at full occupancy, our spa is rarely crowded, as our focus remains on offering an undisturbed and exclusive experience for our guests. Regarding your feedback on our entrance construction, we sincerely apologize for the disruption and confusion it caused. To improve our facilities, we have been working on enhancing our main entrance area, which was indeed undergoing renovations during your stay. We sent you an informational email on 19.10.2024, prior to your arrival, outlining the improvement works and providing specific directions to guide you to the correct entrance. We regret that this communication may not have reached you. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Park Hotel Vitznau in the future, providing an enhanced experience in every aspect of your stay. Best regards Mathias Rohner, Managing Director
