Vang Vieng Romantic Place Resort Reviews

Good: Nothing Bad: The bedrooms have NO WINDOW (so forget about the Mountain View). The bathrooms have NO SHOWER CABIN (and no window of course), so the floor is wet the whole night when you go to the toilets. The bedsheets are DIRTY with traces of blood and other on them, and look kind of yellowish cause, yeah, when you run a hotel you need to buy new bedsheets once in a while. The breakfast consists of POWDER COFFEE, 2 boiled eggs, bananas, and two pan fried toasts. The location is RIDICULOUS, with very limited eating offering on this side of the river. The only « pedestrian bridge » to reach downtown is a 12 minutes walk away, following a road that no one wants to walk along (smelly Tuktuks and noisy motorcycles). The receptionist speaks NO ENGLISH except « CASH ONLY», with NO ATM ON THIS SIDE of the river. The so called « Sofia » manager -if she ever existed- left months ago. Friend, I understand that local entrepreneurs need to make money from foreign travelers and am happy to contribute. But you can’t expect to provide backpackers hostel standard and charge the price of a superior room at your competitors. For 35 USD for a room and 65 USD for a Bungalow, your patient and respectful foreign travelers will expect clean sheets, a window in their bedroom and freshly brewed coffee when they wake up. At least. So if you don’t know how to up your game, then fill each of your no-window bedrooms with four ranges of bunk beds and charge 6 USD / backpacker. No hard feelings then. Anyway, after shortening my stay at the « romantic » I moved on the right side of the river where I got a superior room that ticks all the boxes above - for just 27 USD / night. Hope you see the problem.

This property is located far from the city proper but with very beautiful mountain view! We rented a motorbike to explore the surrounding areas. When we checked in there was no electricity so no wifi, too. On our first night there was a thunder storm and again the electricity went off! It's rainy season June-October in Laos so expect heavy downpours. However, If you will love nature, peace and quiet then you will like this property.

Vang Vieng is an underrated city. It's worth experiencing Paragliding and ziplining in this city. That said, the place is still underdeveloped. You have to have reasonable expectations about a developing country, such as its swage and roads.

It's quiet and the breakfast is great. I can communicate well with the hotel in English. It offers a great view to enjoy the scenery of Vang Vieng.

We enjoyed our stay there. The only sad thing is that they don't have a restaurant to dine in.

This "resort" is terrible... 1. When I booked a room, they said: no more rooms available, 2. The front desk can barely speak English, let alone Chinese, 3. The room facilities are unimaginably bad, 4. The hotel navigation is impossible to access, you have to walk in a small alley for 10 minutes, 5. There is a small path leading to a rice field, which is so small that only tuk-tuks can enter, and it will make you sick, 6. This hotel, no, it should be called a guesthouse, really can't be booked

The hotel is located outside the city. The scenery is really beautiful. You can see hot air balloons every day, but it means that transportation and life are really inconvenient. There are not many shops around. It takes about 2 kilometers to walk to the city. The road back at night is very dark. If you don’t rent a car, you need to consider the distance. The hygiene is really not OK. I think the bed I slept on the first day did not change the bedding at all. It was changed again at my request on the second day. The hotel environment is relatively wild, so there will be bugs and geckos in the room. There are almost no services. Only one employee in the hotel knows English. Breakfast is ordered, but the taste is so-so and the serving speed is also very slow. If you have rented a car and want to get away from the city to see the beautiful scenery, you can come. They are repainting new rooms, which may be improved. But if you want convenience and service, it is not recommended.

The hotel is quite remote in a small village. The room facilities are quite simple, but the service is good. We were given a free room upgrade. We also ordered our own breakfast. It is also close to the tourist attraction, Tampukan. If you don't rent a car, you can find a tuk-tuk to negotiate the price. The round trip is only 150,000 kip. When I stayed there, there was a flood and the boss delayed our check-out to 3 o'clock. I still have to give it a thumbs up.

The resort has a beautiful environment and the hotel service is very good. What I like most is that the hotel's breakfast is delivered to the room and is very rich.

The hotel is near the rice fields and very quiet. It is separated from the center of Vangrong by a wooden bridge. It is very convenient to walk across the wooden bridge over the Nansong River to reach the prosperous world of Vangrong, the night market pedestrian street, the tourist information department, and the snack street.

I stayed there for four days. There were many people in Europe and America. I liked the rural scenery. Vangrong, Laos, is a blessed place.

Very nice hotel, newly opened, very close to the city center, excellent location. Very clean, very nice, worth staying. I booked it for my friend, and my friend gave very good feedback.

The breakfast is rich and the room is big. The only drawback is that it takes a long time to get to the hotel.
