Excellent location close to port and train station. Walking distance to restaurants and castle. Comfortable stay. Simple onsen.

It is right in front of Usuki Station. The public bathhouse was not large, but I was able to enjoy a bath there. The facilities were also clean and nice.

For taking a boat to Shikoku, you can arrive right outside the station, making it convenient to take a boat to Shikoku the next day

I stayed at Credo Hotel Usuki in front of Usuki Station. The larger hotels in the city are in the suburbs, so this seems to be the best hotel in the city. This time I booked a single room in the cheaper main building. I heard that the new building is higher up and has larger rooms, but... it doesn't seem to be that different. The single rooms in the main building are indeed small, but the dark brown interior is unified and calming. The advantage is that you can see the Umizoe River from the window. The evening view is beautiful. The bathroom is small but kept clean, and there is a large public bath, so it is spacious. However, when I used it this time, it smelled a bit like the water was not circulated or replaced, so I didn't feel good. The breakfast is said to be focused on health with plenty of vegetables, but I didn't feel that they were particularly particular about it. For some reason, there were a lot of potato and pasta dishes, and nothing local. Well, it's 880 yen, so I guess that's to be expected?

I'd like to use it again. However, the female staff at the front desk was a bit unfriendly, which was a shame.
