Urumqi Hotels with Gym

This was an excellent hotel with superb services. The staff, in particular was very helpful in arranging drives to various interesting sites. The lady called Sophia spoke excellent English which made life easy for foreigners. The only thing I would recommend is that they make an effort to clean the carpets more thoroughly.

It's Hilton and I hardly found staff who can speak English. I felt like I was cheated. I paid for 2 big twin bedroom and I got one big and one regular roomsize. As i wanted spacious room, I was willing to pay more, but the duty manager at the time that I checked in said the other room seemed small, because it's a different floor plan. So I told them that I'm an interior designer, so I know what is big and small or even the manager could come and inspect the rooms with me. . After that they allow me to change the room. There're varieties of food for breakfast.

The location is very convenient. The service is very considerate. The room is too hot! ! Cleanliness and location are great, as well as the price. But where this hotel lacks is service. There was a MAJOR hiccup in how front desk handled my situation. I came back at 4am after a night out and lost my room key. The front desk really struggled to find my room number. After about 5 minutes of searching, she found my room and handed me a new key. Except IT WAS THE WRONG ROOM. I walked into a room that had 2 complete strangers asleep in the room. They were startled and I closed the door immediately. Went back downstairs and had to ask the front desk for another key, which the lady searched for another 5 minutes before finally finding my room. Needless to say, this is BAD. You CANNOT give someone’s room key to a stranger. That is an absolute sin in the hospitality industry. I hope they will retrain their staff and learn from this review.

The hotel is conveniently located near Nanhu Square Station on Metro Line 1. Before check-in, the hotel staff called and provided a free room upgrade. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The service was warm and thoughtful, and welcome fruits and local dried fruits and yogurt were given as gifts. I also reported this to the front desk lady on the same day and got a timely response. Early the next morning, the front desk handled the extension of stay. The lady said that the lobby manager happened to be there. After reacting, I talked to the lobby manager, but I was very disappointed. This fat male lobby manager was extremely arrogant and rude. He looked down on people and didn't care at all. In the end, I guess he was helpless and said thank you with his back teeth. Sure enough, the iron block blocking the road was not removed until check-out. Finally, the concierge of this hotel is useless. It rained on the first day and the car could not go up. They would have given me an umbrella. On the second day, I needed to move something from the car to the room and needed the concierge's cart. There was no one in the concierge department. I asked the front desk and was told that they were not working and would have to wait for ten minutes. I said I didn't need help and just needed to get off the car. They told me that I could push it myself. I pushed the cart to move things. When I came back, the concierge had already started working. I pushed a big cart by myself, and the concierge just watched. It would have been fine if they didn't help push it, but they didn't even help open the door. Finally, to sum up, the five-star facilities are put up by a makeshift team.

After returning from Altay during the Spring Festival, I stayed in Urumqi for one night and booked two rooms. The hotel's bedding, facilities and services were completely satisfactory and exceeded expectations. The sanitary conditions were also first-class. The breakfast was very rich. The complimentary lunch buffet was even better. Xiao Sa, a hotel staff member, provided five-star service from the day before arrival to the day before departure, which made us embarrassed. It was really for such service that my daughter said she wanted to stay another night. The room was very large. The lobby was very beautifully decorated and the photos were very good. This hotel is Extreme, Extreme, Extremely best with their services and staffs at front desk to even the Hotel manager. I really appreciate how they have helped us😀 as senior couple travellers to Urumqi first time. Breakfast is very good and even the simpler free supper at night was fantastic. All the staffs from laundry room to front security ladies are all excellent excellent!
