Transportation: Very convenient, Haneda T3 directly goes to Kuramae on the Asakusa Line, no transfer is required, and it is an eight-minute walk. There is an AEON store nearby, which closes at 11pm, so it is convenient to buy things and cook.
Hygiene: Because I stayed for five nights, there was no call for cleaning and no cleaning sign. You can borrow a vacuum cleaner from the front desk. You can take out the garbage yourself and ask the front desk for a garbage bag.
Facilities: When I took my parents out for a trip, I used all the equipment. The washer and dryer was integrated, so I washed clothes before going to bed at night and woke up. There was an air humidifier, so my lips never dried out. The ironing iron was easy to use. The bread oven was delicious when it was reheated. The washing utensils were picked up at the front desk, and each person was limited to one cup of free capsule coffee per day.
Service: The front desk was full of young people, and there were beautiful women who could speak Chinese... all with a smile.
Environment: Since there were three people staying in the room, it was actually a four-person room. I was afraid that the foldable upper bunk would fall down... The Chinese-speaking beauty assigned to the first floor did not upgrade me to other floors. The sound insulation was generally acceptable. There was a fire station nearby, and there were some sounds of police dispatching...
Summary: Convenient transportation, convenient life, new equipment, quite comfortable, nothing bad except that it was a little expensive, and there were no good restaurants nearby.

Excellent location . Since This is my first time to travel by JR rail and also Mita subway. The Front desk has very fluent English and Mandarin to teach me how to go to nearest Mita subway Station.
Very sincere and enthusiastic service.
Also lots of restaurants around hotel.
I have tried traditional Japanese pub, 24 hour self serve Ramen Shop, Canton Woton noodle.
Also has big LIFE supermarket, Lawson downstairs.
Will certainly introduce to my friends if they want to come to Tokyo Japan.

The hotel is near Chiyoda City which is a nice park. Shimbashi station is a 5min walk away. Rooms are clean but a bit small (normal for Tokyo). Service is good. Breakfast is good.
They don't have a concierge despite trip.com saying they do. Not sure if that is a mistake on their part or on trip.com.
The place has a gym which is open 24/7. I didn't use it but it was good to have the option.
There is also a smoking room and a bar.
Overall, a 5/5 stay for a 3 star hotel.

Staying at Nohga Hotel was a fantastic experience—very clean and felt just like home. I really liked the design, especially the partition separating the toilet from the bed. The atmosphere was cozy, and the location was easily accessible. The only downside was having to walk through the restaurant to reach the elevator, but overall, everything was great.

Lyf shibuya is located just opposite Parco, a hip and high-end shopping mall. While it's some distance from Shibuya station from a train-at-your-doorstep perspective, there are plenty of nice shops and restaurants nearby and from there you can practically walk to Daikanyama, Harajuku or Aoyama.
I didn't use any of the amemities but some may like the gym and washer/dryer units there.
I joined as a hotel member and got one free breakfast, which was a nice selection and tasty one.
Picking Lyf the second time as I like its decor after staying at the Ginza one. The staff are generally young and wear a happy face. The hotel just has an upbeat vibe.

The location of the hotel is good, it's near the metro and JR, the Ameyoko market is also nearby so it's very convenient.
The staff are friendly and the breakfast is delicious, however, if you intent to stay for many days the main course may get a little boring since the options are the same each day.
One of the downsides of the hotel is that there are not a lot of light bulbs in the room, making the room dim.

In Tokyo, where every inch of land is valuable, the basic room is 70 square meters, which is really luxurious. The service is very, very good. They even bought cold medicine for me because I had a cold. The breakfast is very rich, with both Japanese and Western food. You can overlook Mount Fuji from the room. It is worthy of being the number one hotel in Tokyo.

GGuest UserI am a book lover myself, and came to stay here for 2 nights in March a week before Easter, mainly for the library theme and book selection. The hotel itself, the book lounge, and the book libraries on each floor was all very very good. However, upon my checking in, it was obvious that the male receptionist on the left pay more attention to Caucasian guests rather than me (an Asian solo female traveller). I had the impression they just wanted to get rid of me asap, and then served the Caucasian guests behind me.
During the whole of my check in process, no one mentioned anything about the special libraries on each floor, no one told me about the free beverages offered “at the far end corner for the reception desk”, and definitely no one mentioned anything about he QRcode library tour!!! I stayed for two nights and it was only after the first night (when I read the books inside my room that I knew of ANY of the services I mentioned above). Of course one may say I could read all those on the signage’s provided in the property. But then…
Upon walking into the reception desk the next day, I did hear the same male receptionist explained in great detail (everything I mentioned above)in English to other Caucasian guests.
I like the library premise of the property, the books selections were great, exhibition on the first floor was quite nice, however, I am not sure if I would stay for a second time, knowing how they treated solo female Asian guest whom they assumed was not civilised enough (that was my impression) to deserve a thorough introduction about this lovely bookish hotel from them. Quite disappointed to be frank, especially knowing how much history this hotel has included!!

Location: Prime spot in the heart of Shinjuku and one minute walk to Shinjuku station exit 4, and less than five minutes to other exits.
Room: Extremely clean, modern, spacious, fantastic housekeeping.
Facilities: Washing machine, dryer, hot/cold water dispenser.
Service: Top notch hospitality from staff who are very friendly and courteous – special mention to Justyna who was extremely helpful with my queries days leading up to my check-in, as well as throughout my 7-night stay, and she always ensures that my requests are fulfilled promptly. Thank you Justyna and team!

MMommy MaricelPerfect location for Tokyo marathon runners. It is just by the starting line. Everything was great. Room super spacious and clean . We had a fantastic view of the Metropolitan Building with led lights show. Food so good in the buffet. Service is excellent.

During my recent stay at Dormy Inn Ueno Tokyo, I found it to be a compact yet highly convenient hotel, especially for travelers who prioritize location and practical amenities over excessive space. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it does a great job of providing a comfortable stay with thoughtful touches.
Location – Perfect for Travelers
One of the best things about this hotel is its location. Just a short walk from Ueno Station, it offers easy access to the JR Yamanote Line, the Keisei Skyliner (for Narita Airport), and multiple metro lines, making it an excellent choice for those who plan to explore different parts of Tokyo. Additionally, the Ameya-Yokocho (Ameyoko) Market is just around the corner, where you’ll find everything from fresh seafood and street food to clothing and souvenirs. It’s a lively area that adds to the appeal of staying in Ueno.
Room & Facilities – Compact but Functional
As expected, the rooms are small, which is pretty standard in Tokyo, but they are well-designed with everything you need. The bed was comfortable, and the room included basic amenities like a TV, a small desk, and a fridge. Storage space is limited, but for a short stay, it was manageable. The bathroom was also compact, though the onsen (public bath) on-site makes up for it.
Onsen – A Small but Relaxing Bath
One of the highlights of staying at Dormy Inn hotels is their public bath (onsen), and this location has one, albeit on the smaller side. It’s not the biggest or most luxurious onsen, but it’s a nice way to unwind after a long day of walking around Tokyo. The water temperature was just right, and while the space was limited, it wasn’t overly crowded when I visited.
Freebies & Unique Perks
Dormy Inn is known for offering small but unique perks to its guests. This location provides free popsicles and yogurt drinks, which is a nice touch. However, they are only available during specific hours, so if you’re out sightseeing all day, you might miss out on them. They also supposedly offer free late-night soba, a Dormy Inn signature, but I never actually saw it happen and didn’t feel like asking about it. Maybe I just missed the time window. Housekeeping – No Room Cleaning, Just Fresh Towels
One thing to note is that Dormy Inn follows a no-daily-cleaning policy. Instead of a full room service, they simply drop off fresh towels outside your door. This is fine if you’re staying just a few days, but if you prefer daily room cleaning, you might find it lacking.
Staff & Service
The staff at check-in were friendly and efficient, which I appreciated. They handled everything quickly and provided all the necessary information without any issues. While I didn’t interact with them much after check-in, the overall service felt professional and welcoming.
Final Thoughts – A Solid Stay for Practical Travelers
Overall, Dormy Inn Ueno Tokyo is a great choice if you’re looking for a convenient, budget-friendly, and functional stay in Tokyo. AadamwlleeGreat location, very close to the shopping districts of Ginza. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Good access to the Tokyo Metro. Plus point is the Starbucks and Starbucks Reserve within walking distance. Also plus point: the hotel serve free coffee at the lobby. Room is on the smaller end (as with any hotel in Tokyo) but the nice lobby is a nice escape from the room. Clean and daily replenish of towels. This is top choice for me. I would gladly book again when I visit Tokyo.

AAnonymous Useri booked the triple room as it was the only room left. there was space for only 1 large luggage - the room was a little old but bed and duvet surprisingly comfy. onsen was small so it got a little crowded as the hotel was full that night. location was great - tho the nearest ikebukuro stn exit with lift, C9 (vs 20b), is a little further from the station. excellent authentic chinese food nearby (豪妈 on google maps), and a family mart just across the street. great hotel!

Ooki explorerThis is a good location especially if you’re going to Disneyland. There are 3 train stations around the hotel within 5min walk. Its very convenient and spacious. Would stay there again. It is also close to Haneda airport. I don’t like to stay in the metropolitan area so this is a perfect location for us. They have lockers for early arrivals and also has a McDonalds attach to the hotel with convenient store. We also got a good view!!!
