Bravo to the lady who was cleaning my room. She cannot speak English at all but made a huge effort to ensure she communicates in English using translation software. She is very intelligent and offered great service. The location is great. Very beautiful near the river. Near Marco Polo and Italian street. And the room is great value for money. You can see the sunrise and beautiful view of the city through the bedroom window.

Very beautiful hotel in the center of Tianjin! It’s so close to the river with a vibrant atmosphere! The hotel is large with fantastic views if your room is high up. I booked a single room and it was big enough to be comfortable! It is quite at night and clean. The WiFi is good and I had a pleasant stay here! Would recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Clean and cozy room, location is near to Italian street and the beautiful bridge.

Love it there! I had my 2-night-stay, and it was a good experience. I stayed in a one bed for one person room. It is not too small or too big. Recommended for a solo traveler who needs privacy. Also, the best thing about this hotel is the location. Really close to most of the major tourist spots and easy to walk around.

only a very short taxi drive from the railway stations, located next to the river, nice walk to most place of interest. such a beautiful historical city . Breakfast was wonderful, highly recommended for all visitors

Hotel facing river and located at walking distance to Italy Marco polo street . Night time down the hotel is a colourful park that can jogging and enjoy river cruise.

The hotel is in the middle of the tourist spots so you can access them by walking. I enjoyed walking so no problem. The room is okay and clean but you can smell the smoke. The receptionist knows how to speak basic English so the check-in process was smooth.

It’s actually very difficult to check in to a hotels here in China, but in Tianjin ocean hotel check in was very smooth and the people were friendly, so it was a nice experience

After arriving at check-in 2hrs early, we were given a very large room (possibly an upgrade) which looked quite presentable. Although slightly dated, the room was very clean and comfortable with an enormous bathroom. The view from the window was of the river and bridge with a new building worksite next to the hotel. With the double glazing, it was very quiet! Room service was good with daily replacement of 2 water bottles and tea and a bed make over. The only issue is with the air conditioner, being a little noisy. The breakfast buffet area on the 3rd floor was nice as well as the food, although hardly any western dishes were offered. The Chinese restaurant, also on the 3rd floor served good dishes. There is on the 1st floor a coffee shop, as coffee is not supplied in the room. The location, all within walking distance is near the river and little Italy and a 15minute walk to the bullet trains I can recommend this hotel.

Great location across the street from the river walk, the Italian square, wax museum, and historical buildings. 10 min walk to train station. Very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast bar. Rooms have great view of the river and city lights. Very affordable.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. The service is getting worse and worse. Especially poorly cleaned on weekends. There's trash on the floor, crumbs. The view from the window is excellent... but in heavy smog (often in Tianjin) - this is not a very necessary factor)))

Hotel near river about 50 meters only you can walk to Tianjin train station for to another city room clean enough maybe next time I will rest agitate

Good location. Most attractions are within walking distance. Hotel is rather old but cleanliness was ok.

I'm giving this 5 stars because this very budget, very small room was everything I needed for a short 4 night solo stay, right by the Hai He (river) in downtown Tianjin. The service was straightforward and professional and even though my room was very inexpensive, I was treated well by everyone. The location is perfect for Tianjin tourism, very close to the lovely Italian section with its many super places to eat, and a short walk to the main train station, Century clock and many of the river's best views.Large malls and lots more shopping and sightseeing is across the river but the nearest bridge is very close, and the shopping and so on available as soon as you're ACROSS. It's an older hotel, and that shows, but the price is commensurate with that, so no complaint for me: everything still works well and the bed (good for one, not two) was very comfortable. Plus, even though it's small, the desk was useful and had good power sources, very close. And, unlike many budget rooms, this one has a window, and a good view. I've stayed here a few times before, and I will happily stay here again.
