Splendid Hotel Taormina Reviews

Great experience! Everything was really good. We had a room with terass and a view of the sea. It was stunning. Room was very clean and sheets where changed daily, which was nice when you have two dogs that sneak into bed during the night. Location was great. A short distance walk to the town center with shops and restaurants. The parking service was great. They park the car for you and when you need it they will bring the car in front of the hotel within 15 minutes. It will cost you 20€/ night but it's hassle free. Staff is fantastic. We arrived around 6AM (much earlier than expected), and way too early for the normal check-in time. We were absolutely exhausted after a night of driving and our room wasn't ready. But the staff was kind enough to give us a room to sleep in, and at 11AM we could check-in to our booked room. Free of charge! Breakfast was also great and they do packed breakfast if you leave before breakfast time. The hotel doesn't do laundry, but there is a laundry place 800m away.

Stayed here during winter and was given a room next to the restaurant, where there were sounds of plates and chatter. Nonetheless, the hotel offers nice views of the mesmerising ocean and a decently good breakfast. It’s located at a convenient place too.

A nice recently renovated hotel with bay views from terraces and walking distance to the Main Street. Restaurant had delicious soup and for breakfast there were many choices.

Newly renovated hotel with nice pool and view. We are a little disappointed with the room without balcony view. But the breakfast and swimming pool view made up for it. Reception staffs are very nice and helpful.

Very good. The guy at the front desk upgraded us to a room with a sea view balcony. It was really great. The swimming pool was also very good. The breakfast was also very rich. The room was not big but had all the facilities. The only downside was that there was no free water in the room.

The hotel is in a good location, close to the city, the staff is very friendly, the environment is very good, the price is very good, the breakfast has many choices and tastes good! Recommended! The sanitation is good, and the room is spacious and new!

The room was not cleaned properly, and there were items from the previous guest in the closet and refrigerator. The front desk staff was indifferent. The desserts for breakfast were delicious, because they were not sweet, and they were the best desserts I had in Italy (also because they were not sweet)

The location is halfway up the mountain, and it is convenient to walk to various attractions. There are many guests. The room on the first night was a little damp. After communicating with the front desk, a new room was arranged the next day. I was very satisfied. Thank you to the front desk staff, very nice. Recommend this hotel. Gorgeous view of the sea and mountains from the balcony, the hotel is right in the center of Taormina, but on a quiet street. Nearby is a bus stop to the train station. Cons: old rooms, and not very friendly staff. We checked in on my wife's birthday and she was not even congratulated.

A wonderful hotel, absolutely clean. Breakfasts are great! Everything is very tasty, there are cheeses, sausages, vegetables, hot dishes, fruits, and desserts are just unreal - panna cotta, cheesecakes, etc. They upgraded the room from standard to superior with a sea view in honor of my birthday. Helpful and customer-oriented staff. 2 minutes to the main street of Taormina. The only downside was that on my birthday no one could iron my dress, in the end they brought an iron to the room, but I had to complain about the lack of proper service on a weekend.

The balcony is a major feature, the hygiene is average, and parking is not very convenient

The room was very compact, but the staff were very helpful. The view from the balcony was beautiful, and it was a wonderful stay. The hotel was close to the main street, so I was able to go back to the hotel and rest. All the tourist sites in Taormina, including the bus terminal, are within walking distance. If I visit Taormina again, I would like to use this hotel again.

We booked a balcony sea view room, but after entering the room, we found that it was a room facing the atrium without a balcony. The hotel said that it showed this room type, but they still changed it to a sea view room for me. The service attitude was very good. In addition, the breakfast here was the most abundant during this two-week trip to Italy.
