Excellent hotel! A historical hotel resort with big lobby and various facilities. Great public onsen and amazing breakfast buffet.

The place is beautiful. The hotel staff is kind and honest. Clean. Especially the hotel bus service is kind and helpful. The breakfast food is delicious. Inside the room, all the equipment is clean. Especially the onsen is clean. You can really relax. Thank you trip. com and the takayama green hotel. My whole family enjoyed it, especially the children.

Love this hotel. It’s about 8-10 min walk from JR station but hotel provides shuttle bus. It has got 2 Onsen both indoor and outdoor. We chose Japanese style room and it’s been spacious.

This is a very good hotel for a road trip tourists.  There is a big parking lot but it’s not free. There are 3 shops (clothes, shoes and sundries) just opposite to the hotel and a souvenir shop on the ground floor of the hotel; definitely good and convenient for shopping. By the way, some grocery stores nearby as well. Both indoor and outdoor onsens are good!

Quite a distant from station however shuttle provided at certain timing. New building is too far from laundry service building. Should add more laundry machine/facilities.

The service was excellent. I especially want to praise the front desk lady that day, because we lost something at the previous hotel the night before, and the hotel's telephone customer service could only speak Japanese, so we couldn't communicate. The front desk lady of this hotel was very patient in helping us. It took up a lot of his time, but she was always very enthusiastic. The hotel also offers indoor and outdoor hot springs, and the restaurant in the hotel also serves good food. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious with a lot of variety. It was a very pleasant stay experience.

Very clean and great service! The location of the hotel is also very good since it has a nearby clothing and shoe store. Onsen was perfect with great atmosphere.

The hotel is superb, spacious and staffs are nice. Staying here is perfect for traveling around the famous tourist spots and there are few good restaurant nearby. Our family stayed in a Japanese style room, staffs will help to set up the mattress and quilt at night.

This hotel may just very well be the grand dame of Takayama, a great start to our 18 day adventure of central Japan. The hotel has a grandeur that welcomes you with just the right touch of elegance and a perfect mix of Japanese and western refinements. The hotel boasts of 2 sento public baths and houses 3 buildings with modern and traditional suites for all tastes. The dinner and breakfast offerings are superb and varied. Familiar yet exotic. A complimentary scheduled shuttle bus to and from the train and bus stations but a short 8 minute walk if you miss them. This hotel has it all under 3 roofs.

Fantastic hotel with well renovated facilities - there's both an outdoor onsen and a newer, quieter basement onsen which also has an open air section. The rooms are also very spacious, and the gift shop is well stocked. The restaurant and lounge are great to relax in, and the hotel is also a short walk away from the station. There's a convenient shuttle bus if you don't feel like walking. Highly recommended.

Actually felt a little cheated with this booking. We had tattoos so we paid more to get a room with an outdoor bath. However, it turns out that the water wasn't from the onsen and there was even a sign saying that they filter and recycle the same water back into the bath. Yucks. The room was dated and dirty, with many stains in the tatami. On the other hand, the staff were generally helpful and polite, which was a plus. There's a souvenir shop at the ground floor, which is convenient. There are many restaurants in the hotel too but are very expensive. We enquired at one and we're quoted ¥190,000 per person for their set dinner, and it was the only option we could take.

In addition, the hot spring water in our hotel is circulated and filtered in order to provide clean and stable water. Sanitation is not a problem. Please rest assured.We also deeply apologize for the stains and old tatami mats in your room, which caused you some discomfort.Regarding the restaurant prices, we are very surprised to hear that you were quoted 190,000 yen per person for the dinner set. We do not have such a pricing structure, and we apologize for any misinformation that may have been conveyed to you.On the other hand, we are very sorry to hear that you gave us a good evaluation of our staff and the souvenir shop on the first floor. We will take your valuable feedback seriously and make further efforts to improve our services to satisfy our guests.
