Wonderful experience, superb service, oiishi food, excellent views, I really dunno what else to say, its more than 5 stars, definitely worth the price.

Recommend this ryokan because it located in the central town near old town walking street.

Good service

An amazing ryokan experience with very attentive service by Lai, Teddy and the team. While we had an unfortunate issue with the bath tub in one of our rooms, the team was quick to attend to it. They even offered us an upgrade to a very beautiful room with an ensuite private onsen and covered our drinks for dinner. Very appreciative of the team for going out of the way in their service recovery and helped us to enjoy our ryokan experience with many wonderful memories. Looking forward to stay at the Honjin Hiranoya Bekkan during our next visit to Takayama :)

Excellent location, service and view from room.

The service was impeccable and we felt welcome when reaching the hotel. They have staff stationed near the hotel to guide guests to the entrance, we got a pleasant surprise upon entering the hotel. The location is superb, the old town is just opposite the hotel. Easy to navigate around the area with 2 morning markets nearby. We were also satisfied with the dinner and breakfast served, good variety and delicious.The only thing I hope could be improved is the female bath as there is only 1 bath which is not big, can get crowded when there are many guests.

Got the corner room, absolutely beautiful views and very clean. Great staff and located in central location making the whole town walkable to anywhere.

The staff greeted us at entrance, took care of luggage and asked for dining times. Guided us to our room and explained. We had dinner at hotel and it was delicious. The stay was excellent. Highly recommended👍

The hotel is not far from Takayama Station and also provides pick-up service. Takayama Old Town, Jinya and other attractions are within walking distance, which is very convenient. We stayed in a Western-style room on the side of Jinya. The room was clean and bright, with all the supplies, and the large bath was also very good. As for the food, since I sent an email to the hotel two weeks in advance to request that one of the guests remove fish from the meal, the hotel was considerate and the food service staff pointed out the changes made to the dishes when serving each dish, and the dishes that replaced the fish were not sloppy, which made me very satisfied. In addition, the service attitude of the staff is also very good, and there are also English-speaking staff to serve guests who do not understand Japanese. In short, the hotel is of high standard in all aspects and I will recommend it to my friends.

It's about 10 minutes away from the train station. You can contact the hotel for a shuttle bus. Although it's small, the scenery is first-class. The tatami room is very good, but the breakfast is really hard to describe. Please improve it.

We went there just when it was snowing heavily. It was a really beautiful place with beautiful scenery. The day before we went, we contacted the front desk to pick us up at the bus station and enthusiastically reminded us that the weather would be cold in the next few days, so we should keep warm. During our stay, they knew where we wanted to go and helped us check the scenery and routes. The breakfast and dinner were also rich. The room was arranged on the top floor, and we could see the whole beautiful scenery. If I had to say a disadvantage, it might be that the hot spring place was a bit simple, but the service was really enthusiastic, and the location was great. I will stay here again in the future!

A hot spring hotel with a very good location, very close to Takayama Jinya, the ancient street and the station. The room is a tatami. After checking in, there will be detailed instructions and facilities introduction. The dinner time and the next day's breakfast time will also be specified when checking in. The service staff will come to lay out the mattress during meals. The hotel provides yukata, separate hot springs for men and women, and women have an independent hot spring with a better environment. There are all kinds of bathing and skin care products, and the meals provided are also rich. There is also a car to take you to the JR station.
