the location of this hotel is by far its best feature as the mass transit, railway and a central bus station is located close by (5 minute walk at most). rao he night market is also a 3 minute stroll down the street so that makes supper runs that much more convenient for hotel guests. however, we experienced a case of overbooking for our room when we arrived at the hotel at about 5:30pm only to be informed that the room would not be ready for another 1.5 hours as the guests before us had extended their stay. we ended up checking in at 7pm after room service was done, causing us to disrupt our reservation booking which we could no longer meet. the resolution offered was a 1 hour extension to our check out time which we did not need as it did not fit our itinerary and although the team was apologetic there was little done to appease and they offered no other forms of compensation or resolutions. it was honestly a very frustrating situation as we had travelled interstate expecting to freshen up to rush off to a reservation we had only to be stuck at the lobby for another hour. based on a few other reviews, it is evident that overbooking is quite common at this hotel which begs the question of why hadn’t there been any intervention to mitigate this yet? that aside the room we booked (river view) offered a comfortable stay for a couple with 2 luggages. amenities were well maintained and it was a comfortable stay for guests who were out and about most of the time. footnote - i must say i’ve experienced much more hospitable service from other boutique hotels in taiwan than i did here which seems to be commonly brought up as well. service meets my minimum standards but often times international travellers may need some/more assistance from concierge which this place is hesitant to offer.

Booked the room with balcony, absolutely gorgeous view especially at night. Room is big and comfortable and clean. It's located in a quiet area jus beside the 河滨公园。but if you go over to the other side of the building, Raohe night market is just round the corner. Super convenient and definitely can feed your night market snacks cravings. (recommend u to walk thru the alley for shortcut to the night market). Very close walk to Songshan MRT Station. For those who wants a bigger room and quieter area, good to book here. My friends and I had a very pleasant stay. The lobby area also have a pa try area where you can get free coffee.

This is our second time staying in Waterfront Hotel. The room is clean and comfortable as usual. One major benefit is its location. Arriving at the night market nearby by foot just takes 5 minutes. Compared to our experience last time, staff are more welcoming and friendly throughout our stay this time. We are really impressed by their hospitality while maintaining efficiency. We'll definitely consider staying in the Waterfront Hotel when we visit Taipei again.

Love this hotel as it is located at the river and you can go jogging endlessly without any traffic lights. Also like the design and facilities. Only thing annoying this time was that Alan did not work, neither in the room nor in the lobby (either extremely slow or not at all)

Room is clean and tidy. Room size is larger than imaged. Nice view towards the river. Location: Very close to night market. A bit far from subway station but convenient for taking bus.

Convenient location with access to convenience stores, night market and train station! Hotel was also really clean with solid water pressure!

Very convenient to visit night markets. Practicall,y you will go explore every night.

Super nice and quiet hotel. Prime location that's just a few minutes walk away from Raohe Night Market. It's also a quick walk away from the train and metro station. The room is clean, only quirky part is that the basin/sink is outside of the toilet (i.e. in the room on the long desk table). But no issues with that at all. Even though it's near Raohe Night Market, it's behind it, so it's definitely not noisy. You can get good quality sleep at night. No worries at all. Will definitely recommend this hotel for those that want to stay in a prime location when visiting Taipei.

Location soooo very close to Raohe Night Market, which was perfect for us foodies! The room was really clean and neat and we loved the view :')

The description of the hotel is very accurate: I'd also call it industrial chic, which I like, and is a good concept overall. The added bonus of a coffee machine in the room and free coffee downstairs is awesome. I also loved balcony access. The staff are very helpful and carefully explained the hotel policies to me as well as showing me the communal area. Only 4 stars for location, however, because you need to walk quite a while from the MRT and there aren't any breakfast options nearby that I found.

Very nice clean room with views of rainbow bridge. Pillow and bed a little too firm for me but it's OK.

The room and toilet is very clean. There are coffee machine and snacks available in hotel lobby.
