The accomodation is absolutely top range and comfortable and the place has so much to offer. Unfortunately, it appears to be running on auto pilot or poor management. These are the things which really annoyed me: 1. Arriving at night, the signage is not well lit and we struggled to establish whether we had arrived at the right place, especially the security personnel at the gate were not being very helpful. They have never been given any training to help them understand that they are the first point of contact between guests and the residency. 2. We arrived on a ”Jazz Night” but, although I am a jazz lover, it should not be foreced upon everyone. The layout of the dining area is very poorly thought out. There was no maitre d'hotel or someone to direct us as to where we should go if we wanted to eat and not listen to music. Eventually we found someone to help us walk past the music area and squeeze past the tight space to go past th bar to the dining area. The whole layout is kind of back to front. The dining area should be more easily accessible and there needs to be a way to separate the main dining area without getting rid of the dining tables in the music area. 3. The dining area is exposed at the back and there was a strong could draught that night, because the rear part of the dining area is exposed to the elements.

Guest UserI booked a 2-night stay over Saturday and Sunday while waiting for my 1am flight on Monday. I had just returned from a safari and was extremely tired, hoping to get some rest. Unfortunately, starting around 4am on Sunday, there was a lot of noise coming from the room directly in front of mine. It appeared to be a group occupying multiple rooms, shouting and moving between them.
I called the lobby twice, and while the receptionist was kind and responsive in contacting the group, the noise continued, and I eventually gave up on trying to sleep.
Later that afternoon, the tap and shower in my room stopped working. I had to call again to have it fixed, and even after it was restored, there was no hot water. I had a VERY cold shower.
That said, I genuinely appreciated the food and the aesthetic of the property—the African artifacts in the hallways and the soaring ceilings made the place feel very special. It’s the kind of atmosphere I’d love to return to. However, because of the disruptions and inconvenience I experienced, I don’t think I’ll be coming back unless necessary.

Guest UserI booked this hotel two months in advance, paying 980 RMB per night including breakfast. However, on the day I checked in, my colleague found the price was 580 RMB per night with breakfast. Early check-in cost an extra $30.
I appreciated that the power outlets were universal Chinese type, so I didn't need an adapter. The breakfast offered steamed buns, noodles, and chopsticks. While it was nothing special, it was decent enough. The outdoor seating at the restaurant was very comfortable.
On the downside, the room facilities were outdated, and the hygiene was just average. There was a strange smell from the wardrobe and the sink, and some areas were quite dirty.
On the positive side, the staff were all very nice. If the price had been under 500 RMB per night, I would have found it acceptable. But paying nearly 1000 RMB per night, I felt like I got a raw deal.

I am quite satisfied with the overall facilities of the hotel, but the body odor of the cleaner (male) is so strong that I can still smell the odor on my body after cleaning my room. No one came to clean the room from the first day to the second day.

It was my first time to stay EKA. I arrived 8 hours before check-in time, having made a booking for one night. Unfortunately, my connection flight was on the same day, meaning that I wasn't spending a night in the Hotel. So grateful to have been allowed early check-in at no additional cost. A plus on flexibility of hotel management. Staff were generally warm, professional and willing to help. I will certainly be back!

I stayed here twice, once on arrival and again the day before my flight home. The first time, I was a bit disappointed because I was on the 5th floor and my window looked out onto a terrace. However, my second stay was on the 9th floor with an amazing view overlooking Nairobi National Park, which really boosted my overall impression! I could even spot giraffes and ostriches with binoculars.
The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with absolutely no complaints. Security was also excellent. I had expected there to be more shops within the building, but aside from about three restaurants, most of the other spaces were vacant. So, for any shopping, you'll need to venture outside.

I stayed at this camp expecting an adventurous experience, but it did not quite meet my expectations. The price was very high for what you get—essentially just a tent with a toilet quite far away (try walking at 3 am under umbrella to the toilet with +14C). While the adventure aspect is there, it felt like overpaying, especially considering the costs for similar accommodations in this country.
On the positive side, the bed was really comfortable, and the tent was cozy, which made for a good night’s sleep. The territory of the camp was nice, and breakfast was excellent, adding some value to the stay.
Overall, I have mixed feelings. I liked some parts of the experience, mainly the cozy sleep and the breakfast, but I would not come back or pay this amount of money again. For the price, it is not worth it in this destination.
PS shout out to the staff, they are fantastic and very nice

I had a wonderful stay at Novotel Nairobi, specifically in Room 308, and everything was absolutely perfect. The room was spotless, well-designed, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The bed was good, the amenities were thoughtfully provided, and the overall ambiance was welcoming. I felt like a million dollars staying in this amazing room.
The service was good from start to finish— good security, staff were professional, friendly, and always ready to help. Housekeeping did a great job, and the attention to detail really stood out.
Overall, my experience exceeded expectations. I would happily stay here again near Westgate shopping centre. Highly recommend.

KRAZY WORKERThey provided three meals, if you are a Chinese tummy I had the chance to stay at Xiaomi Homestay in Kilimani, Nairobi, and it was a refreshing mix of comfort, convenience, and cultural charm.
Location & First Impressions
The homestay is tucked away in the lively Kilimani neighborhood, which makes it easy to access restaurants, shopping malls, and transport. The property itself feels modern, clean, and welcoming — a good balance between homely warmth and hotel-like comfort.
Comfort & Amenities
The facilities were a big plus. The gym was well-equipped, making it easy to keep up with workouts, while the swimming pool was perfect for relaxing after a busy day in the city. Both amenities added great value to the stay, especially for anyone who enjoys fitness and downtime in equal measure.
Meals & Dining Experience
One of the standout features was the inclusion of three daily Chinese meals. This made the stay very convenient, especially for anyone missing home-style dishes or simply wanting a reliable, flavorful option without having to step out. The meals were hearty, authentic, and gave a unique cultural touch to the experience.
Atmosphere & Service
The overall atmosphere was warm and peaceful. The hosts provided thoughtful service, striking a nice balance between giving guests privacy and being available when needed. It truly felt like a home away from home, with just the right amount of care.
