After studying Japanese for the last year, I was really excited to visit Japan and our travel agency had wanted us to try an Onsen, however, despite doing our best to respect the culture and locals, the front staff made it clear they didn’t care for foreigners before we even had a chance to make an impression. The checkout staff ended up being much nicer, but we were so uncomfortable here, we checked out as early as we could. Even when getting breakfast in the lines, we were both shoved by locals staying here. We never had this experience other places, especially when it’s a line that naturally moves. This was our last night of a 10 day trip, and it left a pretty awful feeling behind for us. We wouldn’t recommend this location. In general, if you like foods like raw crab meat, you’ll enjoy the kaiseki meal. We found out it wasn’t something we loved, however, this is a preference and wasn’t reflected in the review. The accommodation is a bit older, but okay.

Ctrip's first review, no domestic tourist evaluation, the price of taking two breakfasts and two dinners is more than 2,100 yuan a night, dining in the room, children eat adults. Warm service, not early check-in. No Chinese house number, good location, just opposite a soup, next to Komatsu. Japanese-style rooms have no bathroom. The two of us can bring children, and they charge 1,000 yen for children. The price does not include the town hot spring fee and tax, and finally paid 3,580 yen for the soup fee and tax and children's fee when leaving. The room is on the opposite side of the street, with a small toilet, an old house, a sleeping Japanese-style floor, a lot of kaiseki dishes for dinner, some crabs taste good, and beef hot pot is not like to eat, plum wine is good. It costs more than 1,000 yuan more for a meal than a separate room. It feels more expensive than eating outside. It is mainly an experience. There are seven hot springs in the town and four hot springs in the town. The overall feeling is good. This shop does not do word-of-mouth marketing for Chinese people, and often has rooms. The price of bringing meals is also moderate. I don't know how about a store of about 3,000, and there are more than 1,000 with breakfast and dinner. The overall feeling is OK, and the consumption is moderate

First of all, the food was very delicious. Especially the rice was really delicious. It is said that it is rice that grows storks, and it is said that it is rice that is cultivated without relying on pesticides and chemical fertilizers. All of the dinners were delicious with the impression that there were many twisted and elaborate menus, but the ingredients are good, so it seems that you will be pleased even if it is a little simpler. It was my child's birthday, so I added Tajima beef steak, but it was really soft and delicious. The Tajima beef ceramic plate grill has a thick sauce of burdock, but probably because I was old, this was lighter and easier to eat than the steak. The sashimi shrimp was also big, fresh, sweet and delicious, but I think it would be better if you could peel the shells. Children seemed to like steamed matsutake mushrooms in clay bottles. The children's menu is full of volume anyway. It may be unavoidable that it tends to be biased toward fried foods everywhere, but you may not need such fried foods. .. The hot spring is salty and warms up to the core of the body. However, the open-air bath of the women's bath can be seen from Marine World. Be careful when taking an open-air bath before Marine World closes. That is definitely visible. The staff were all kind to traveling with two mothers and children, and the rooms were large, making it a very memorable trip. The building itself is old, so I'm worried when I'm worried about everywhere, but I and my child were very satisfied. Thank you very much.

We had a fantastic stay at this Ryokan. The staff were so attentive and welcoming (Thanks to our room attendant, Suzan) We arrived a little earlier than check in but we could go up to the room and were provided with tea. The room was beautiful and the beds were prepared when we were eating dinner. We were shown how to wear the yukata and even had welly boots for the rainy weather. The food was the highlight, fresh seasonal ingredients (crab!) which was displayed like a piece of art. I wish we stayed longer, well worth the money!

Everything was good, but when I tried to pay the additional amount when checking out, they told me to pay even the room price I paid in advance when making the reservation, saying it was a 'tax'. After 5 minutes of us checking and finding out, they suddenly said to themselves, ”Oh,” and told me the amount to pay again. It was so At first, I thought it was a mistake, but when I thought about it, I saw that in Japan, even for small mistakes, they apologize repeatedly and say Moshiwake Gozaimasu, but the employee never said a single word of gomennasai. Are we Mistake? So, I guess we just said Hi My Steak and that because we are foreigners, we tried to eat the cash by ourselves, but if you read the review, don't live such a pitiful life. Really. And if you are a foreigner who wants to go here, beware of the guy wearing glasses who looks like the manager.

JJassieTanGreat stay with excellent service and hospitality! While the location is slightly further from town, it’s still easily walkable. The service team was outstanding, providing lovely yukata for us to wear and even offering to drive us to the public bathhouses and drop us off at the station. Their hospitality truly stood out! The hotel room was spacious and beautifully designed, with fantastic shower products that added a touch of luxury. The food was delicious, and the onsen at the hotel was a perfect way to relax. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserI recently stayed in Mikuniya Ryokan for my first experience in a ryokan, and I must say I was impressed by the traditional atmosphere and the careful service offered by the establishment. The staff were dressed in kimono and greeted with a friendly smile. The tatami and Futons offered a comfortable and unique sleep experience, and the ryokan also offers Japanese thermal baths, which was one of my favorite moments during my stay. The bathroom was very relaxing, with a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape.

GGuest UserThe hotel will send you an email a few days in advance to confirm some matters, such as when to arrive, whether to arrange pick-up, breakfast and dinner arrangements, etc. The hotel is quiet and beautiful, and the service is very good. There is hot spring soup in the hotel, so you don't have to go out to the so-called seven public hot spring baths. The hotel's hot spring has two pools, one indoor and one outdoor. You don't need to bring anything. The toiletries inside are Pola. Just put on the Japanese yukata and take the key to the door. It is much simpler and more convenient than bringing towels when going out. Besides, on such a hot day, 35-37 degrees, won't it be too hot to go out? There are too many people in the public hot springs, so there is nothing good about it. I booked half board including breakfast and dinner. There are two kinds of breakfast, Japanese style and Western style, at 9 o'clock at the latest, and it is ready when I go, and I am too full. I ate dinner in my own room, served one by one, the chef selected the ingredients every day, exquisite and delicious, and I was too full, haha. Needless to say, the service is top-notch. There are free drinks in the hotel refrigerator, water, juice, sports drinks, sparkling water, beer, and coffee, milk, and fresh juices on the first floor for free. The hotel also rents bicycles for free, just make a reservation. After riding for about 5 kilometers, you will reach the seaside in the north. There is also a small aquarium, which is probably a national park. Otherwise, leave it to you to see for yourself.

When I mapped out our November-December 2023 trip to Japan last June, I chose west of Kansai region and the northwest along the Sea of Japan where Kansai Wide Area 5-day Pass and Sanyo/San’in Area 7-day Pass would cover. When I came across Kinosaki on the map, I thought this would be the first place to begin our journey of “off the beaten path” (this was my 10th trip to Japan, my desire to travel off the beaten path was obvious.) Since Kinosaki is an onsen town, it makes sense to choose a traditional ryokan with on-site onsen. I found Onishiya Suishoen’s official website very helpful. The photos are genuinely impressive. It has all I was looking for: daily 10-course Kaiseki dinner with premium choices of Matsuba crabs, Tajima beef and local delicacies, along with traditional Japanese breakfast, can be served in-room or in a private dining room; indoor/outdoor onsen; a quiet guest room for two, with private garden views; free shuttle from the JR Kinosaki station; an entertainment lounge; a public sitting lounge with views of scenic Japanese garden; away from the busy tourist center. A free day-stamped pass to use in town’s seven historical public onsens, valid per day from 14:00 to 15:00 the following day; a daily shuttle offers to and from main area of Kinosaki town, from 16:00 to 22:00. These are extra bonus offers to the guests. The guest car parking is available. We arrived at the Kinosaki JR Station on a rainy day. After exiting the station I found the sign of hotels free shuttle across the street just as I was informed at the time of booking. A local coordinator was waiting outside the station and started taking names of the arriving guests. I gave her our hotel’s name and after about 10-15 min waiting we boarded a van and headed to the local hotels. Interestedly, most of the guests in the van are foreigners like we, all got off the last stop. Upon checked in we were told to leave our luggage at the front lobby area. We then followed the hostess to the public lounge waiting for an assigned staff to accompany us to the room and to get familiar with what they have to offer during the stays. When I booked this ryokan I asked for a quiet room and surely our room is at the end of the first floor hallway. During our two-night stay we had a personal hostess named Chiba. She catered our needs for the entire stay, served two meals a days, prepared beddings and replenished in-room services for us. On the second night she noticed we were trying to stack several cushions over the leg-less chairs to improve the posture comforts. She asked if we would prefer regular chairs and a raised table. When we said yes, she quickly popped up the table legs and brought us two chairs. We were so pleased with her attention to details. She did her best in English, explained our daily meal options and introduced each serving plate and sources of the ingredients. She was a very good hostess for us. On the first night we had seafood Kaiseki dinner with premium selec

MMinakoT54The exterior looked old, but the interior was in good condition. The baths for men and women are changed depending on the day. When I went in at night, it was early and there weren't many people, so I went in slowly. The open-air bath only allows outside air to enter, but you cannot see the outside scenery at all. I took a different bath in the morning, but the open-air bath was under repair. It may be a little strange for people who place a lot of importance on the bath. You can also visit the outside baths, so it might be a good idea to enjoy the hot springs to your heart's content. I don't know. The view from the room was on the opposite side of the river, so I could only see the back of the building, but the four-person room was divided into a Western-style room on the first floor and a Japanese-style room on the second floor, so it was a relaxing stay. Dinner and breakfast were buffets, and there was quite a lot of variety. Since the restaurant was fully booked, more dishes were added one after another, so there was never a time when I couldn't get what I wanted. For dessert, there was also soft serve ice cream, which the kids were happy with. After deciding to stay at Kinosaki Onsen, I was torn between choosing a small ryokan, but in the end I think it was a good value for money.

GGuest UserThis time I came to Chengqi to live in one of the two hotels on the left. Although it is a ten-minute drive from the city center, it doesn’t matter because it’s self-traveling. Because I really like the hotel room facing the sea, the room also has a bathtub for the sea view. It’s freehand. There are two private soups in the hotel. You can make an appointment to enjoy the time. The most important thing is that the hotel waiter is very polite and very helpful. In the evening, there is a hotel car to pick us up to the center of Shinzaki for dinner. Although we have a car, we also chose to take the hotel car because we wanted to thirsty wine at night. The driver is also very polite. After dinner, I picked us up at the restaurant door and returned to the hotel. The service was intimate and will come again. It is worth recommending.

GGuest UserI stayed here for easy local bus access to Izushi castle town. The staff were very welcoming and on arrival you get to choose 2 free items from the ‘mini bar’ (beer, soft drink, chocolate, chips). The hotel is very functional. I had a double bed room and I think you could squeeze (and I mean squeeze) two small suitcases and still be able to walk in the room. The bed was typically very firm but the more European pillows were soft. Hallway and other room noise (TVs) comes under the door but as the clientele seemed to be be mostly Japanese and very respectful, it was quiet around 10pm. The set Japanese breakfast is very filling. If you are on a budget, Sky Hotel is a good base for day trips (12min local train, Y200) to Kinosaki-onsen.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Tsuruya Ryoukan for a night, and had an excellent dinner and breakfast. The steamed crab and Tajima beef sukiyaki were especially wonderful. The service is excellent, and the inn is located within walking distance of two onsen! Just outside the inn, there is a place to make onsen eggs and a walkway filled with cherry blossoms. It was a really special experience!
