A really great hotel! The front desk staff, Xiao Zhou, provides excellent service. I've stayed here many times, and each time is a very comfortable experience. 100 points!

The ultimate one-stop destination for families with kids! No need to venture out, both adults and children had a blast! The hotel facilities are truly comprehensive, featuring its own children's water park. There's a shallow pool and small slides for younger kids, the water quality is clean, and the lifeguards are always on duty, which was very reassuring. My child played there happily all afternoon and didn't want to leave. After playing, we went straight to the hot spring area to relax. With dozens of different wellness pools and mild water temperatures, soaking there was incredibly soothing and perfectly relieved the fatigue from playing in the water. Besides the water park and hot springs, there's also an indoor play area, parent-child DIY crafts, and a children's restaurant – everything you need for eating, staying, and playing is available right within the hotel, truly offering a one-stop vacation experience. The room was clean and spacious, and they thoughtfully provided amenities like children's toothbrushes and small slippers. The staff were friendly, and check-in was efficient. We didn't have to worry about a thing regarding our itinerary. We'll definitely come back for our next family vacation with the kids.

The views of Taihu Lake are absolutely stunning. We originally booked a king room, but after speaking with Trip.com customer service, they upgraded us to a lake view room. The official photos of the lake view rooms looked beautiful, but upon checking in, I was a little disappointed. The lake was still quite far away. However, we could still see Taihu Lake from our room, and the room itself was quite spacious. The breakfast, though, was just so-so – basically just noodles and a salad.

This summer, I took my child to the Marriott hotel by Lake Tai in Suzhou for a weekend getaway. Before our arrival, the hotel butler called and mentioned they'd add me on WeChat, but they only did so at the front desk after we'd checked in. I had already informed the Ctrip customer service to request a room upgrade and late check-out, but when I repeatedly asked about the upgrade at check-in, I didn't get a direct answer. They did grant the late check-out though. The room was just so-so; the pillows were incredibly soft and very uncomfortable to sleep on. The placement of the trash cans was also quite inconvenient; there wasn't one near the sink. The recreation center was pretty good, with both indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor pool was 27 degrees Celsius, and the water had just been changed at the end of June. The outdoor pool had a children's play area, which my child thoroughly enjoyed. On Saturday nights during the summer, there was even a pool party with fireworks. The recreation center also had mahjong rooms, table tennis rooms, and billiard rooms, but all of these cost extra. Breakfast was truly disappointing; the variety didn't meet five-star hotel standards, and the dishes were the same for both days of our stay. We even had to ask a staff member for spoons, which was quite inconvenient. On the night of our arrival, I asked the butler for body lotion, but it took a long time to arrive. Overall, the staff wasn't very enthusiastic.

Our group consisted of five people, all elderly, frail, or recovering from illness: a senior over 90, a late-stage Parkinson's patient who had just fallen, someone 9 months post-femoral neck fracture surgery, and two others over 60. We came to Dongshan Hotel specifically to relax and unwind. Over our 3-day, 2-night stay, we truly experienced excellent service. When we needed a stool for showering due to inconvenience, it was delivered immediately. Fearing our canes might slip on a wet spot, we asked for a towel, and someone promptly came to wipe it dry. The room was spacious with a balcony, clean, and tidy. Breakfast was very generous, and the meals were incredibly delicious. The hotel itself is like a scenic spot, so there's no need to go out exploring, which was perfect for us. Upon check-in, we added the butler's WeChat, making communication easy and prompt. Although we booked through Ctrip without meals, which was more expensive than a live stream deal, we still felt it was an excellent value. We highly recommend Dongshan Hotel for its 5-star environment, service, and overall ambiance.

The 11 private rooms of the B&B are hidden in the ancient ginkgo forest. In late autumn, it becomes a golden fairy tale world. Although the place is not big, the beautiful scenery created by the ancient ginkgo forest is not comparable to artificial plantations. During the ginkgo viewing period, the dining area is very popular. Fortunately, the inner courtyard accommodation area is only for the guests staying in the hotel, which feels like a paradise. Under the ginkgo tree, enjoy delicious food, make tea, and brew coffee to feel the beauty of life. The B&B service is very good and responsive. The room is spacious, the scenery outside the large floor-to-ceiling windows is pleasant, the bedding is clean and hygienic, and the facilities are complete. There are large free parking spaces at the entrance of the hotel, which is very convenient for self-driving. I hope to improve it. One is that breakfast porridge should be made well, not soaked rice. Another is that the pillow is not very comfortable. Many high-end B&Bs are latex sleeping pillows.

The Holiday Inn Suzhou Taihu Lake is conveniently located right next to Lake Taihu and is accessible via Metro Line 5. The hotel facilities are quite comprehensive, with some simple children's play equipment in the lobby on the first floor where kids can have fun. The Chinese restaurant on the 13th floor offers a breakfast buffet and a light lunch menu. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the family suite can accommodate up to four people, making it perfect for family trips.

Hengshan Island's rare pure first-line lake view housing, lighting and landscape are directly full. The sunrise atmosphere of Taihu Lake in the early morning is excellent. The room type on the first floor has a private soup with a small independent courtyard, which is very private. A large area of the lake lawn can be camped and barbecued, the environment is clean and elegant, away from the crowd, and it is too suitable to relax for a short trip.

Let me first say the conclusion: If you are not catching a flight, it is not recommended to choose. Atour is expanding too fast, and the quality control is worrying. If it continues like this, it is likely to follow the old path of HIX. The sanitation environment of the hotel elevator is very poor, and there is a peculiar smell. The first time I was given a room at the elevator entrance, I inserted the card to get power after entering, and there was a loud sound from the TV immediately, which scared me... I stayed on a TV series, and the bed had obvious signs of being sat on. I don’t understand how the guest room is made. Later I was upgraded to Jimu (only a small refrigerator with drinks was added).

This is a must-visit hotel every time I come to Suzhou. The environment is beautiful. Xiaofeng at the front desk is very enthusiastic and very cost-effective. She helps to upgrade the room type every time I come. I recommend it to everyone. I recommend you use Ctrip to book. The after-sales service is good.
