Find 5-Star Hotels in Huangshan

First off, our fault, we didn't take note of the negative reviews of the service rendered in this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel, with amazing details and decorative accents. It is such a waste that the service standard is dismal. The lady at the reception was very dismissive when we checked in, after our long day of hiking. We managed to descend huangshan and reach the hotel about 6pm. She coldly informed us we have to have our dinner (before 8pm) and hotspring (before 9pm). We really scrambled and otherwise, you won't have food, and they would not allow us to use the hotspring voucher for the next day. Next, it might be a ”hotspring” hotel (throw away all preconceived thoughts of onsens), but u are only allowed one use a day, and it is only available from 3pm to 9pm. Next, apparently there is some transport restrictions for this hotel. So you can't just go out of the hotel to the town to eat and come back as there are specific timings u can go out or come into the hotel, via their transport team. You are basically holed in the hotel, which is fine for just one day, but not for longer stays. The food is acceptable, but they really meant it when they say it is a self-service buffet. The lady manager is especially surly. I don't think she was targeting us, she was equally dismissive to all (I guess that is some consolation) The staff delivered us 4 bottles of water while looking at his phone, no eye contact in any way (but this might just us being boomers by expecting some form of hospitality) The lady at the noodle station asked us to get our own soup bowl, while she continued with her douyin surfing.

We really enjoyed our stay here, from beginning to end, the staff were all very welcoming and helpful! They provided free pick up from the shuttle stop in TangKou (call hotel to request), and lots of tips for our trip to Huangshan. Location is very convenient and views were beautiful. You can leave your luggage here during checkout and pick up after heading down from the mountain. We'd stay here again! Only thing is food options around is a bit limited.

The room is clean, the breakfast is exquisite, and the hotel has a beautiful environment, as if you are walking into the garden of a wealthy family in Huizhou. The hotel is located in a quiet place in the bustling city, close to Huizhou Old Street and Liyang Old Street, and it is convenient to eat around. There are many barbecue and specialty food restaurants within a few dozen meters of walking distance at night. It is a good place for a parent-child vacation.

The room is large with balcony but old. The TV is old model and considered small with the size of the room , don’t have USB charging sockets. The breakfast is not that good. The lobby’s ceiling is well decorated.A bit far from Tun Xi old street.

Facilities: The color matching of the furniture and facilities in the room makes people feel very cozy, and the layout is comfortable and reasonable! Until I saw the mini bar and shower room, 5 stars fell directly 3 😂 Service: The front desk service is as always, textbook-like and procedural and thoughtful. I booked a special premium king-size bed room, imagining that the actual room I stayed in would also have such a lush mountain view as in the picture... I was given another room on the grounds that the room hygiene had not been completed. I said I could wait, I had plenty of time! But in exchange, I still got another room, under the name of: upgraded to deluxe king-size bed room 907 (the king-size bed is actually two beds put together). There was a gap of nearly 1 cm between the door and the door frame, and the lights in the room or corridor could be seen from the door gap. Later I learned that the hotel consists of two buildings, and the special premium king-size bed room with a mountain view is generally on the side of the back building facing the mountain. Since it is now in the low season, the back building is closed! Environment: Actually it is quite good. The driveway in front of the lobby is constantly flowing with cars during the morning rush hour. It must be the main road. It is just close to Huangshan Railway Station. When sleeping at night, you can occasionally hear the sound of train whistles. Other than that, it is quite quiet. Hygiene: There are some old marks on the sofa and pillows, but it is clean otherwise.

Perfect stay at J.Mountain for family trip. Available in Trip.com. Our stay period in summer season (consider off peak?). Prior to stay, the staff are very prompt in helpful Q and A. Services are exceedingly good, excellent and accomodating. All staff are friendly, approachable, and careful to details. Sharing local culture and history, and place of interest. Outstanding concierge service. Our stay include Tea appreciation, sumptuous dinner (2 choices), and hearty breakfast (2 choices). We were given complimentary drinks at bar, and alternative dishes to met dietary requirement. Very useful that hotel provide Hotel-Train station transfer. service, and other short distance ride to Huangshan hiking entrance (saved a lot of time). Staff helped us booked our Cableway tickets which saved us time to queue for tickets and avoid buying wrong tickets. Very spacious open concept, clean and modern room and furnishings like king size bed, large Sofa, round Table TV. Balcony with lush tranquillity view of nature full of mountainous greenery and waterfall. Sound of nature (cicada) and fortunately room comes with good sound proofing sliding door. Bath tub, shower area, and WC with build in sensor and biget spray. Standard Amenities are provided. Electric source is China 2-pin 3-pin plug standard and USB. Hotel is located within the Huangshan park (?). Saving us time in getting clearance at Park security office as the Driver brought us through the security checks with ease. We felt like VIP. Hotel is a short drive away to nearest cableway (called ‘hot spring’ cableway etc.). Do bring rain coat as weather up in the mountain is unpredictable. It rained when we reached up at ‘Yuping’ cableway. Hotel staff offered us rain coat. We have a skilful driver to transport us safely form our Hotel-Train station transfer.

There are three rooms in one room. They all have living rooms, which are more like home, unlike ordinary hotels. I booked two rooms and locked one of them. But no one will stay in that room during the period, which is good. The living room is very comfortable and clean, and the decoration materials look very solid. The park is very large, and there are residential buildings under construction, including villas and houses. The front desk also feels like a sales office. It is a self-service hotel. The car can be parked downstairs, and the luggage needs to be moved by yourself. The service response is quite positive. There is nothing to play, fishing is not good, the float is not suitable, but it is okay to see the scenery, and the garden is well done. There is floor heating and air conditioning, the house is thick and not damp, but dry. The balcony is very large, and the black floor on the balcony is a bit smelly after drying.

Such a lovely trip! Highly recommend this hotel for visiting Huangshan, they provide all the kits you need for a hike including rain coat and hiking stick. We also had a nice upgrade for the room which was offered for free. We came from the UK and glad that we stayed here, the staff are all super nice and hospitable! Our room manager Huihui was exceptional, every morning auntie Wang and other aunties in the canteen greets us and prepares breakfast, they all are super nice and friendly :)) would come back again if we were visiting the area!! 特别感谢管家慧慧和王阿姨 还有所有酒店人员带给我们难忘的黄山之旅！

My partner and I spent three wonderful days here and we would come back in an instant. It’s one of the most beautiful hotels we ever stayed at, and the staff is incredibly helpful. We had a huge terrace overlooking the fields, where we could just relax after some hectic days in Shanghai. The location is perfect, just outside the nearby town, but still close enough if you need anything. The hotels offers you a drop off to the main entrance of the Huangshan scenic area, which only takes about 10 minutes, so that you can be there early in the morning. When you visit the mountains, be sure not to miss out on the Western sea grand valley, it has less visitors and views are amazing. On our other day we visited nearby village Bishan, which was great, a cute little village with some artsy little cafes, eateries and shops. You can easily take a didi there. Every evening we had our meals at the hotel, which were delicious, and the breakfast was also outstanding, having both some local and western treats. We couldn’t be happier with our stay here. Many thanks to the staff!

The hotel is very good in terms of environment and service. The first time the housekeeper came to pick us up and opened the wooden door, the view of Yongxing Lake was really amazing. The food in the hotel's restaurant and dessert shop is delicious. It is worth going again in the lotus blooming season.
