Find 2-Star Hotels in Chiang Mai

We were there for 4 nights, over New Years. Location is great, it's at the edge of Old City and a short driving distance to Nimman (where you can find lots of great cafes and eateries). Amenities are as advertised and the room looked exactly as in photos. We did however, encounter a few issues during our stay: - 2/4 pillows didn't have covers as the laundry shop hadn't delivered the clean ones in time, so we used towels over the pillow for a night. We were given the fresh covers the next morning. - The toilet bowl kept making weird flushing sounds throughout the night (and day, though we were mostly out) and we were greeted by unpleasant surprises sometimes. I believe it's a plumbing issue which the staff said they'll look into. Understandably, this is a new hotel, so there are definitely issues that may arise in the beginning. Other things to note/suggestions for the manager or owner: - 2 hair dryers are shared amongst the 8 rooms, so it's first-come-first-serve at the check-in counter. This can be rather inconvenient for all guests and the staff. The latter had to knock on the doors to collect the hair dryer back for other guests. - The room doesn't have a mirror, except for a small one in the bathroom. I acknowledge that it is not a necessity for most people, but having one in the room would be a nice touch. Overall, the room was clean and the staff were friendly (they gifted us a snack basket for the New Years!). I'd recommend this hotel.

It is in the old city, less than 300 meters away from Chiang Mai Gate and more than 800 meters away from Tha Pae Gate. There are several temples around it, and the Saturday and Sunday night market is just a stone's throw away. The boss is very nice, and coffee and tea are very convenient. The price is very affordable. It is worth recommending.

The room was clean and I lived on the third floor. The customer service was very good. One day I left my room card at someone else's place and the customer service ran up and down to find a spare room card. The only two points were that there was no elevator and it was a bit tiring to operate the luggage. There was a bar street behind the room and it was a bit noisy in the middle of the night. There was nothing else. I was very satisfied overall.

Love this concept. The place is very clean and modern. Rooms are small, but not THAT small, perfect for solo travellers. They also have rooms with double beds, but I haven't seen them so I dunno if they are okay for couples. The bathroom is also clean. You can use the washing machines for 40baht (full cycle of 1h) and the drier for 10baht every 10 minutes, but it's very powerful. The location is great, by the night bazar, byt be aware that if there is a big match in the muay thai ring downstairs, it will get noisy until midnight. The people working there are helpful and kind.

Upon entering, there is a very nice restaurant and lounge. There are some fruits, bread, jams, and of course coffee. The owner speaks English and is very friendly. Anyone can stay comfortably, except for those who want fancy facilities.

Good Big Area with little amenities... the swim pool n rooms are very clean...staffs are friendly.. overall still good..

The Sabaidee was in the perfect location… everything was within walking distance or a short tuktuk ride. The overnight front desk girl was fantastic… she helped make phone calls for us, arranged for a toilet repair, and allowed us access to the employee bathrooms when the toilet repair took longer than expected (not the hotel’s fault when it busts at night and no repair places are open). None of the cons listed below are deal-breakers, and we would absolutely stay here again next time we come to Chiang Mai. 😁 Pros: - fantastic location (Northern part of Old City) - fantastic staff - daily breakfast buffet - gorgeous outdoor space - tons of amazing restaurants nearby - Super safe area - free wifi - 24-hour front desk Cons: - buildings in the area are close together so our room didn’t get much natural light - the overhead lights in the room were aggressively bright, so I had to MacGyver a bed canopy so that I could lay in bed without triggering a migraine - breakfast buffet is not veggie-friendly… every hot option had meat in it, and everything had eggs - each person gets a separate wifi login that can only be used on one device at a time… so you can’t multitask (ex: laptop and phone) - beds are typical Asian beds: very firm, and no “pillow top”… it wasn’t uncomfortable though and we slept well.

The room has no window. There is a balcony, but there is a grate, which does not create the best impression. It is noisy and smells of food starting from 4 am. The only pluses are the pool, which is cleaned and it is sufficient for swimming, and the price.

One of the most comfortable hostels I stayed in. The staff is professional and helpful, place well maintained and comfortable, beds are big. Great location near night market Only negative - due to design of place there is not much noise protection when closing heavy metal toilet or shower doors, this should be silenced as they are always in the center of the dormitories.

Lovely little hotel nestled near Old Town area of Chiang Mai near Tha Pae Gate. It’s a family owned business and they’re very caring and kind — the place was very clean. I would definitely stay again.
