The hotel is relatively old, but the facilities are quite complete. It is suitable for family weekend leisure travel. It has a kitchen and living room with a lot of space. There is no water heater, so it is inconvenient to drink coffee or tea.

Their credit card machine was broke so I had to pay with cash. Then they said i had to leave $100 cash "damage deposit" on the room. Please note I'm 70 years old and driving a BMW M4. So I did but told the front desk guy I was leaving at 430am and he needed to make sure somebody could give me my BS deposit back at that time. At 430am the next morning I'm checking out. Of course the guy at the front desk can't give me the $100 cash deposit back because there's nobody there to Inspect the room. I said words to the effect that HE could go up and Inspect the room. Anyhow my head was about to explode and the guy relented and gave me my cash. BTW, no coffee in the room or lobby, half the light bulbs in the room were burned out. How do these expensive, flea bag hotels stay in business?

When we booked this hotel we needed a kitchen and suite with room. We got that. Since it was Stamford we expected a decent hotel. Hotel is very dated and worn. No money has been spent on upgrades in many years. Needs new carpet and paint with new decorings. If you are looking for a Marriott or Hilton class hotel, it's not here.
