This hotel was such a fun surprise! I booked this for a work trip and had no idea what to expect. It’s now my go to hotel when I’m in Des Moines! It’s in a new area with a lot of restaurants and shopping very close, and they do have a steakhouse in the hotel, but I haven’t eaten there. The rooms are super modern and new, with a bright and airy feel to them. The bed is super comfortable and the rooms are quiet. The only downfall is the sink faucet, which is set super far back, so it barely makes it over the back edge of the sink. The pros of the hotel will make me overlook that, as I love this hotel!

GGuest UserThe breakfast lady was ride the charger did t work and couldn’t watch tv without static and no one was at the desk to check us in
JJulie SThis hotel has pros and cons. Pros: good neighborhood, convenient to restaurants, shopping, and interstate. Free parking. Bed was comfortable with a nice variety of pillows. Appreciate app check in which allows bypass of front desk. Cons: ran shower for 20 minutes, never got hot water (top floor, toward end of hall). Mold in shower caulking. Sink did not drain well. Walls very thin, could hear neighboring room conversations without difficulty. Was also at hotel during a weather event. Local channels unavailable. I do not like breakfast at Hampton, so did not check out options/quality of breakfast at this hotel. Overall, very average in the area, will look for other options for next stay in the area.
GGuest UserThe front desk is quick and helpful. Breakfast is quite good. The room was clean and easy to spend. The cleaning is perfect and you can spend a pleasant time.
KKirby AWhat a horrible experience. From the time you pull up to black moldy facade on the outside, you’re greeted unenthusiastically. When we walked off the elevator the halls on the second floor had a horrible musty smell, and when we opened and walked into our room we were met with a foul smell of human urine. We immediately went to the front desk to ask for a different and cleaner room (mind you I haven’t even gotten to the mold in the bathroom, or holes in bed skirts and dirty sheets). The front desk staff gave an insincere apology and said there were no other rooms (a lie because we went online to see if we could book and they had availability), and that all they could give us was an air freshener. The brought back cleaning material in a spray bottle that was most definitely not an air freshener. This place is unsafe to stay in and horribly dirty. Go stay anywhere else.
JjohnvG8558LNThis was my first stay with this brand and I was very impressed. I did not make the reservation. The room included a mini-kitchen of refrigerator and two-burner countertop complete with pots, plates, cups, etc. and all were in excellent condition. I did not use the kitchen. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was in excellent condition and had a good sized closet to hang clothes. I don't normally review beds since they are very subjective. It was very good. The hotel was busy because of weekend events and it was still quiet and easy. The outdoor patio was clean and in great condition, and a nice touch! Breakfast included typical hot foods. All was well supplied and a good variety of traditional hot and cold foods. Plenty of shopping and restaurants either in a walk or short drive. Great stay!
GGuest UserI am a diamond member, but I've never felt that I was until now. Glenn (GM), Ankas (BarT), breakfast staff and front desk (Cathy) were way beyond top notch. Even with construction, they made sure that my stay was not only enjoyable but that I remain loyal to Hilton and this property in particular. I frequent Des Moines often. I won't book any where else again. Thanks again Glenn and team. Much appreciated. BTW, all effort was put forth before knowing I was a diamond member. So Class! Love it here.
GGuest UserSecond time staying here and it never disappoints! Was nice during covid and even better now! The room was very clean, the bathroom spacious and the bed and pillows!!! I did not want to get out of bed in the morning!! We come down once a year for a date night and this is our favorite hotel to stay at! The hot breakfast in the morning is amazing! Biscuits/gravy, sausage links, scrambled egg circles with cheese, cinnamon rolls (fresh made in waffle iron) or waffles, cereals, assorted rolls, yogurt; juices. Something for everyone!!
Excellent experience, clean quiet and comfy. The gals at the desk were helpful, gave a list of nearby restaurants. There were snacks in the lobby when we arrived. The fresh fruit at breakfast was a plus. This was our first time at Springhill Suites and we will return.
