The surrounding environment and convenience of this hotel are great, but the hotel itself is the oldest of the three Marriott Bonvoy hotels in the surrounding area. Not only are the facilities old, but the faucet in the small kitchen overflows all over the countertop as soon as it is turned on. The washbasin in the bathroom and the sewer in the bathroom drain very slowly. We stayed for three nights and did not receive any cleaning. I love staying here when I'm in Des Moines but I usually have to wait until off peak times, like Tuesday through Thursday.
