GGuest UserThis is a newly opened hotel, so the facilities are brand new. However, the mini-fridge in the room was incredibly loud, which disturbed my sleep. I had no choice but to ask housekeeping to switch it off. No one came to fix it the next day, so I couldn't use the fridge for two days. On the other hand, the concierge and restaurant staff were impeccable; they always greeted guests with a smile and were ready to help.

YyucongseuExcellent stay! The room was very spacious, and the facilities and service were consistently up to InterContinental standards. The view from the window was great, offering a glimpse of the red Ferris wheel. The location is superb, right next to Osaka Station and Umeda Station, making transportation incredibly convenient. There are tons of shops and restaurants nearby, so dining, drinking, and shopping are all very easy. Plus, breakfast is free for children under six, which is a great value.

GGuest UserMy top pick in Osaka! The service was exceptional; I didn't have to lift a finger with my luggage from the moment I stepped out of the car. The check-in process was a delightful, seated Japanese-style experience. Hotel staff personally escorted me to my room. This will definitely be my first choice again next time I visit Japan.

XXiaoyuhuiThe location is extremely convenient. If you're looking for an old-school hotel vibe, you might find it here, but the facilities are really outdated – I couldn't stand them. The showerhead was in the bathtub and there was no separate shower, which was a real deal-breaker for me. I'll definitely stick to newer hotels from now on. The Japanese restaurant on the fifth floor was pretty good; I had sushi for a reasonable price, with 16k and 26k options available.

ZZHGKI originally booked a W Suite and arrived at 12 PM hoping to secure a high-floor room, but was only given the 8th floor. So, I paid more to upgrade to a Marvelous Suite. Honestly, the hardware facilities are excellent, but! If you want to experience differential treatment, this W is the place to be. First, someone else's laundry was mistakenly delivered to our suite. When I told the front desk, they were dismissive, merely saying someone would come to collect it, without even an apology. Later, while we were out, they left two boxes of Pocky biscuits... truly perfunctory. Then, we went to the Living Room on the third floor for drinks, and the server was practically bowing to Caucasian guests, while being very dismissive towards us. Around 10 PM, I called their 24/7 Whatever/Whenever service for an extra duvet, and they told me they had none left. The next day, I ordered room service through the Bonvoy app, and since I couldn't find the order on the web version, I called again to confirm. They said they'd call me back after checking with room service, but the meal arrived and I never got a call back. It felt like they didn't care about their guests at all. Also, the suite's minibar is entirely chargeable, and there are no additional services. It really felt like I paid a hefty price just to rent the room itself. I can't really praise the service from a five-star Marriott-branded hotel. This review is a heads-up for anyone considering booking this hotel. Though I doubt W Osaka will care about my review; they're always fully booked and don't lack customers. Oh, and the front desk concierge who spoke Chinese were all from Taiwan.

MMiqixiaofantuanComing from Tokyo, I thought I had the Shinkansen system down, but Osaka Station definitely taught me a lesson! I got lost as soon as I exited the subway, and we only found the hotel because my husband could read the map. I'd highly recommend taking a taxi if it's your first time in Umeda and heading to this hotel! However, once we got our bearings, we realized the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! Osaka Station is just 200 meters across the street! Hankyu Station and Umeda Station are also nearby. Within 500 meters, you'll find the Umeda shopping district: Hankyu Department Store, LUCUA, LUCUA 1100, Daimaru Department Store, Yodobashi Camera, and Hankyu Sanbangai are all in the vicinity – a shopper's paradise! The best part is the time-saving aspect; if you buy too much to carry, you can just drop it off at the hotel and head out again – plenty of time, haha. Most importantly, it's also quite close to Universal Studios Japan. A 17-minute subway ride from Osaka Station makes it incredibly convenient. **Service:** While I didn't find any staff who spoke Chinese, they were very friendly towards Chinese guests. My basic English was sufficient. You'll need to pay the deposit with cash or a Visa card. **Accommodation:** Since the price is a bit higher than the Shinsaibashi area, the rooms are also larger. This is the biggest hotel room I've stayed in Japan, and the accommodation was excellent and very clean. The only downside was that the hairdryer had very weak airflow and was loud, making it a struggle to dry my hair.

__WeChat13121****Our stay at Dormy Inn Osaka Tanimachi with the kids was absolutely fantastic! The room was spacious enough for the children to move around comfortably, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The bedding felt incredibly soft. The hotel's natural hot spring was a huge hit – the kids loved it, and it was so relaxing for the adults too. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with any questions, even proactively assisting with our luggage. This is definitely a perfect choice for families traveling with children, highly recommended!

AAmanzhol YestekovLocals don’t usually come here to sleep — they come to wash, relax, and go through the full spa ritual. There are three types of steam rooms, a circular shower, and three baths: two hot ones at around 41°C, and one cold shock bath at around 11°C. You dip in and instantly feel alive. One unique feature — every hour they run a group steam ritual, like a collective massage & heat therapy session. Very Japanese, and surprisingly affordable. Definitely worth trying. There’s also an inexpensive breakfast option, plus vending machines with food and drinks right inside — very convenient. Overall, it’s a men-only vibe: arrive, clean up, relax, reset, and go about your day. The capsule is just a bonus on top of the sauna experience. They give you clothing — not a robe, but loose Japanese pants and an oversized T-shirt. You get your own locker, bedding and clothes are changed daily, and the bathrooms have literally everything: toothbrush, toothpaste, gels, shampoo… even nail clippers. You don’t need to bring anything. Location is fantastic — right next to Dotonbori. Step outside and you’re instantly in the heart of Osaka’s nightlife and energy. Downsides? A strict checkout — you must leave at 10:00 AM, and check-in starts only after 3:00 PM. If you want to stay during that gap, it’s around 300 yen per hour, or ~900 yen for the day. Still — great experience. I always wanted to try a real Japanese capsule stay. Inside the capsule there’s a TV, radio, adjustable lights, and AC — though it blasts pretty strongly, so I turned it off.

GGuest UserNewly opened hotel so it's clean and facilities are nice. Body towel, face towel, pajamas, room slippers, hair dryer, and plastics are provided. There's a sento, sauna, and a gym. Facilities are separated by gender. Easy checkin and checkout. Hotel is easy to find via Google Maps. JR Hanwa Line and Osaka Metro Midosuji Line are close by so that's easy access to the airport (one transfer but no need to change platforms) and central Osaka. Not a touristy location so it's peaceful, not many shops around, but there are restaurant options nearby. There's also a 7/11 beside the hotel. Would stay again.

GGuest UserExcellent location, just two minutes away from subway station but in a quiet area away from the noise of the city. Lots of places to eat nearby. Friendly and helpful staff who helped me to book my reservation for Tiananmen Square. I booked a 4 bed female dorm - the room was fairly small but there was large lockers so the small room wasn't really an issue and it was only fully occupied on my last night. The beds are SOOOO HARD!! The mattress itself is soft but it's so thin that you feel like you're sleeping on the floor. It seems to be the same everywhere in China that I stayed but it's definitely worth mentioning. The bathroom was clean, toilet roll was provided and there was individual lights and power switches for the beds. The aircon (i think) was very noisy and it sounded like there was a constant dripping, as if someone had not closed the shower fully but seemed to be coming from the ceiling. There was no leak but just the noise. The beds move quite a lot when someone in the top bunk moves so that can wake you up if you're a light sleeper and the corridors smell of cigarette smoke. Lovely rooftop area and free laundry which is a huge bonus and very convenient. I'd definitely recommend as a base for exploring the city for a couple of days although I probably wouldn't stay again only because the beds were too hard for me.
