I originally booked three nights, but after checking in I decided to cancel the next two nights because the main business here is hot springs, and the hotel lobby is also a hot spring entrance open to the public, which is a bit confusing. Although there is a hot spring pool in the room, there are regulations on water consumption. If you exceed the prescribed amount of water, you will need to pay extra. And because there is a hot spring pool in the room, other facilities in the room are a bit tight, making the stay uncomfortable. The hotel is not easy to find behind Jinjiang Hotel. The hotel has a three-story underground parking lot, which is mixed with the vehicles that come to the hot springs. There are plenty of parking spaces. The hotel breakfast is in Jinjiang Hotel. The breakfast is rich in variety and tastes good.

This is the best hotel experience ever! ! ! The facilities are complete and the service is in place, but these are the basic qualities that every hotel should have, not worth mentioning. The most touching thing for me must be the full atmosphere! ! ! (Of course, one bad thing is that you have to climb the stairs OMG, but the stairs are also equipped with atmosphere lights, so you don’t have to worry about climbing the stairs) OK, finally, I came to the door. Although I was exhausted, you would never swipe the card to enter the room first, because the house number next to the door is really attractive! ! The names are also unique: ”Nocturne”, ”Waiting for You to Get Out of Class”... Let's just say that the boss is too romantic, full of charm! ! Enter the room and lie on the bed looking at the ceiling, the meteors in the universe flash by, and the atmosphere is directly full! ! ! Super film, even the clumsy party can take a big film with an atmosphere! Of course, the super smart Tmall Genie made me no longer upset because I was too lazy to close the curtains! ! RRuliThis is a gem of a bed and breakfast establishment. We were upgraded to a family style room upon arrival. The room was very large for the two of us. The room was located on the third floor and there is no elevator, but the host graciously carried our luggage to our room. The proximity of the accommodation to the Fangjian Mountain enables us to reach the park area before most other tourists coming from the nearby cities. We were already on our way down the mountain when we see the huge lines of people waiting for the buses and cable cars to come into the park.
The accommodation itself is quite impressive. The host and hostess did a good job of renovating to include all the modern amenities of a 5 stars hotel.
I would definitely recommend this place!

AAaron FillerExcellent hotel. Room was very big, nice design, had a great view and very clean. All facilities were great, and especially loved having a washing machine in the room, super useful. Location is perfect, right next to train station, 5 minutes walk from the bus station (to get to Fanjing Mountain), and plenty of places to eat nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. The building houses multiple hotels, so once you're outside there's a sign saying which floor to go to for each hotel. Great value stay.

JJamesHarrisIn terms of the ‘hard product’ this may be the best value hotel I’ve ever stayed in, I was genuinely shocked at how wonderful it was and for such a low price. The room and bathroom were flawless and spotlessly clean, to the same standard as any international brand 5 star hotel and far exceeding any expectations I had. The outdoor swimming pool was a very welcome relief from the summer heat and humidity. Despite this, I did feel the service wasn’t to the same standard as the hotel. I had a negative experience when checking in, and with a phone call from the hotel in the following days, that, unfortunately, left a very sour taste in my mouth. I was also surprised that there was no one on the service desk of the pool and spa area to show us to the changing rooms or offer us any towels for swimming. This being said, I would stay here again in an instant and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tongren.

MMark123456Booked 3 nights in the ”Elegant Residence City-View Double Bed Room” at the Fanbo Yashe Hotel. Overall, it was a good experience and a comfortable stay. The front desk was quite helpful, especially the wonderful receptionist Xiaoya, who assisted me with numerous things with enthusiasm, such as answering any questions, showcasing the various free amenities in the lobby, giving a quick demonstration of how to use the shared laundry area, and offered additional water or other services as needed. The bed and other furniture were comfortable and clean. The shower and bathroom area were fairly good as well. The atmosphere and decor of the room were probably the best thing. Most hotels have a stereotypical and replicated hotel room, but this hotel's rooms give you something more enjoyable since it is a different style from the norm.
Special note on cleanliness: I did want to give this a 4.5, but kept it rounded-up to a 5 since it was minor enough. The room did have some leftover sunflower seed shells in a few corners or where a piece of furniture meets the floor, and a little bit of dirt stuck where the floor layers overlap in the middle of the room. However, it was not that big of a deal. This is maybe a reminder for the hotel to take a second look where dirt or trash may get stuck when simply sweeping or mopping quickly.
Special note on the bathroom mirror lighting: The lighting by the bathroom sink and mirror could use some more direct lighting, since the position of the current lighting is not too strong and caused shadows on the face. This is not a big issue, but it could prove inconvenient to others, such as women putting on make up or trying to carefully trim a beard. The top-down lighting can cause shadows and unclear views under the eyes, nose, lips, and neck.
Tips for guests:
Name of the Hotel: While this website says Fanbo Yashe, you may actually see it named Van Gogh's Garden in person. Don't be confused; it is the same place. ”Fanbo” is related to the Chinese name for Van Gogh, ”Fan Gao”.
Laundry: Yes, is it available, but there is only one washer and dryer available (hopefully these are increased to two or three!). Laundry detergent is provided. It can be a little troublesome trying to manage around other guests, so it is likely best to do it during the day when people are busy. There is also some nearby clotheslines one can use or just hang in your room if there is not too much.
Foreigner Friendliness: Very good. They'll use Wechat to translate and communicate with you if necessary or find some other methods. In short, foreigners should have an easy time here. If other receptionists are friendly like Xiaoya, then there is nothing to worry about.
Attraction Services: The hotel seems to offer some ticket and transportation services for nearby attractions (or at least advertises third-party services), but I did not use them and cannot attest to them.
Location: It is right next to the bus station in Tongren (and a few streets away from the train station). Once the bus drops you off in the lot, you will need to exit the lot and head slightly east towards the nearby main street, then make your way south. You should encounter the hotel next to where the bus tickets are sold.

GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay at Yunfu. We arrived a little earlier than check in, so we went to wait by the pagoda in the square. literally two minutes walk. At night the square comes to life but we were able to sleep peacefully. The owners (I presume) were really welcoming and helped us buy tickets for the mountain. they drop and collected us from the bottom of the mountain. nice touch that we appreciated. The room is nicely decorated and has a worth about it. its clean and has AC. The beds are comfy. pillows ok. There is a restaurant just outside the hotel door to the right. we went to the one to the right but across the small road. awesome fish and bamboo. Its a nice town for like 2-3 days. We arranged with the taxi driver who drove us from train station to hotel to pick us up when we went back. very affordable prices. P.S: if you are gonna go during a holiday or summer/winter holidays BOOK YOUR TICKES IN ADVANCE. or call the hotel to help you.And go in the morning. You will understand why when you are half way up. the hotel was were really helpfully a week before we even arrived. We would stay again.

GGuest UserAs soon as we entered the hotel, the elegant and atmospheric appearance and the well-designed landscape were eye-catching. When we checked in, Xiao Tang at the front desk was warm and friendly. She upgraded us to the Hello Kitty children's theme room for free. The children liked it very much. She also prepared thoughtful welcome drinks and small gifts for us. Her thoughtful service made us feel at home instantly.
When we walked into the room, it was clean and tidy, and the decoration style was also very stylish. All kinds of facilities were available and placed reasonably. The bed was super comfortable to sleep on, and a good sleep made us feel tired after a long journey. The bathroom was also very spacious, and the toiletries were all well-known brands with pleasant fragrance, which felt very good to use.
The hotel is also in a very advantageous location, with convenient transportation around it, and it is close to attractions and business districts. The hotel staff also provided us with thoughtful travel suggestions and gave us a lot of practical guidance.
This hotel where we stayed on this trip really gave us a great experience!

SSteven DowsonWe arrived via two buses and a taxi, next time we'll drive and there is lots of parking available at the front of the hotel. Receptionists and staff all very friendly and efficient. Room was very clean, great shower, squat toilet. Hotel is a short walk from West Gate, you can follow the road or cut through the trees. We ate at the hotel first evening upon arrival and the food was good home cooking, we also had the noodle breakfast which was basic but good. We were lucky to have great weather on Fanjingshan but it's a stiff hike from West Gate and our legs were sore the next day. After our day on the mountain we stopped at a restaurant close to the gate, and returned here on our second night because the food was fresh, tasty, good value, and they have an excellent view of the mountain opposite (see photos). On our second day we took a taxi down the mountain to the nearest town (taxis use the charging points opposite the hotel) but we had trouble getting back and were fortunate to hitch a lift. The West Gate is preferable to East Gate but it's better to have a car.

GGuest UserThe decoration style of the hotel is really nice, exactly the same as in the picture, and very clean. Disposable items are available. Parking is free at the door. The noodles for breakfast are delicious. The tea bags in the room are also good. You can wear Hanfu for free to take pictures, which is very photogenic. If I come here next time, I will choose this place again. It is also very close to Fanjing Mountain, and it is only a ten-minute walk away.

Bus stop is at door and that takes you to most places of interest in the city area for museums, food streets and parks etc. At least 20+ Restaurants, cafe, eateries, mini markets are within 1-3mins walk. Hotel room unit is on high floor, good wifi signal, hot water shower, shampoo, clean sheets, TV with local cable channels, water dispenser etc. Safe for solo female backpackers, value for money, highly recommend!

There is a lack of willingness to help. When you ask for help in booking a taxi, they give you a number and tell you to do it yourself. This is not the service I expect from a hotel at that price. I have never encountered a hotel so unwilling to help in any way.
They did not help us to buy tickets for the mountain (which considering they are next to, is the one service they should provide! Every other hotel we have visited on our tour has helped us with attraction tickets). Foreigners cannot buy tickets without a Chinese ID. However, the hotel insisted we buy advance tickets, so we got a friend to help us instead. This was the wrong information: we were able to buy tickets on the day and could not use a friend’s ID! It is unacceptable to have such little information about the one tourist site next door; the only reason guests are staying in this remote location.
Our check-in also took longer than usual, and breakfast is apparently a ‘tour group’ style breakfast voucher. All in all, a disappointing stay. However as the hotel has a great location and nice rooms, this is easily fixable.
