"The service was excellent, and the front desk staff were very polite. My last stay was great, so I came back directly today, but it was late and there were no rooms available. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful; they taught me how to book a hotel online, otherwise I wouldn't have found a place for the night. They even gave me water and directions. "This B&B in Tongren Ancient City exceeded our expectations! We had originally booked another place, but when we were exploring the ancient city, the host of our original booking said there wasn't enough space for our group. After canceling that, we spontaneously booked Fanjia in the ancient city, and it was a pleasant surprise. The kids absolutely loved it. It's just a few minutes' walk to the foot of Dongshan Mountain, and if you go up, you can see the 500-year-old Dongshan Temple."

"I stayed at the State Guesthouse for two nights. The lobby was grand, and the room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. However, I absolutely, absolutely do not recommend swimming in the pool! The water in the pool was murky, and there were so many children soaking in it that they completely packed the lanes. There was no coach or lifeguard to supervise, so it was impossible to swim. Perhaps this pool is purely for kids to play in, which is a shame. Also, at night, you can hear the highway and train sounds, so if you're a light sleeper or have trouble falling asleep, remember to bring earplugs."

"The environment is great, full of ancient charm. The entire courtyard has a classic, antique feel. However, if you're sensitive to noise when sleeping, I wouldn't recommend it. It's an old wooden house with high ceilings, and even with renovations, it's pretty much soundproof. But the beautiful surroundings and excellent location make it worth overlooking that one flaw. It's just a minute or two's walk from the Zhongnan Archway, making it super convenient whether you want to stroll around the old town or head to Zhonghuan International. Plus, the staff are really enthusiastic and quick to resolve any issues you might have."

"I stayed at this hotel for a business trip, and it exceeded my expectations. I especially want to commend the cleanliness and service. Both the public areas and the guest rooms were meticulously clean. As soon as I entered the room, I noticed a fresh scent. The bathroom, with its wet and dry areas, was spotless and dry, and all the toiletries were neatly arranged. The bedding was clearly sanitized, and the visible cleanliness was very reassuring. There's a parking lot 🅿️, a magnificent lobby, convenient and fast elevators/stairs. The hygiene is clean, tidy, and comfortable, and the environment is elegant and quiet. "Having stayed in many hotels, this one has the best value for money! The facilities aren't new, so I wouldn't recommend it for tourists looking for a relaxing vacation. However, I highly recommend it for those on a budget who want a comfortable place to stay. The room had everything you'd expect. It looked a bit old, but it was just worn, not dirty (as anyone who's stayed in an old house knows). It was cleaned quite well. The shower pipe in my room was slightly broken and leaked, but the hot water was plentiful, so showering wasn't a problem. The breakfast was simple, just a regular breakfast, but definitely not bad! It was much more convenient than finding a breakfast shop in the cold winter mornings. Two days they served porridge, vegetables, and steamed buns, and on the last day they served freshly made noodles and rice noodles. I ate one bowl but wasn't full, so I asked for another. The staff were also very friendly. The most important thing is! The room was really nice! Large! The bathroom wasn't cramped either! And the mattress was very thick! I stayed for four days, and this spacious room was still the most comfortable. Perhaps because the room was large and far away, there was very little noise. Overall, the stay was good, and even though I'm not a big sleeper, I slept quite well. So far, the only hotels I've stayed in that have been more comfortable than this one are four-star hotels. However, four-star hotels are expensive, so this one is more budget-friendly. Satisfied, five-star review. Wishing the hotel great success."

The hotel is very close to the train station, and it only takes ten minutes to walk from the room to the train station. The lady boss is very considerate and will get up early to cook eggs for the guests. When checking out in the morning to catch the train, the boss enthusiastically reminded me not to forget to take the eggs, which was very touching. There are coffee and other drinks and small snacks and desserts available at the front desk. The room also provides a washing machine, a disinfection cabinet and a smart toilet. The price-performance ratio of this hotel is quite high. The only drawback is that the window sound insulation is a bit poor. You can hear the sound of the train, and wearing earplugs does not affect your sleep. The hotel has free parking, and it is very convenient to park and return the car when renting a car for a self-driving tour.

Amazing! Fascinating! Fanjingshan was the final stop of our memorable 10-day tour of Guizhou Province, and we truly could not have chosen a better place to conclude our journey. We felt genuinely blessed to stay at this lovely guesthouse for three nights. From the very beginning, the owner Mr. Zhang Haotian and his family made us feel completely at home; they were warm, engaging, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The rooms are tastefully designed and thoughtfully laid out, perfectly sized for comfort. Our room offered a soothing view of the river, along with a private balcony; an ideal spot to relax with your favourite tea or coffee. The modern touches were impressive too, especially the high-tech sensor toilet, which added a pleasant surprise. The three-storey guesthouse is equipped with an elevator, a thoughtful convenience for guests with heavy luggage or those who may find climbing stairs challenging. Dinner, lovingly cooked by the family, was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that reflected both their hospitality and culinary skill. Every meal felt homely and satisfying. We only wish we had taken more and better photographs of the guesthouse. Without a doubt, this is one place we will return to. As for the enchanting Fanjing Mountain itself, the owner drove us to the scenic area entrance. He even offered to pick us up later, but we chose to walk back instead, enjoying the cool climate. Fanjing Mountain is magical in its own right. The steep cable car ride to the summit, which takes over 20 minutes, was an experience in itself, offering breathtaking views of the mountain ranges stretching endlessly around us. At the top stands the age-old Buddhist temple, serene and awe-inspiring, perfectly harmonising with its natural surroundings. We loved the guesthouse, we are very grateful to Mr. Zhang and his family for their kindness, and deeply thankful for the unforgettable experience at Fanjing Mountain. It was the perfect ending to a remarkable journey.

The hotel is located at the entrance to the road leading to the fanjingshan scenic area. It will take you around a 15mins walk or so to reach the tourist centre where you can purchase your tickets to enter the park. The hotel is mostly aurrounded by fellow hotels and restaurants and a tiny weeny convenience stall just beside the hotel. The plump lady receptionist might sound crude but she is extremely friendly and helpful. The reception area is sparse but the room is defintely okay.not many guests when i was staying there. It is worth a stay though there is nothing much to do around the area and if your aim is just to visit fanjingshan

The room was huge and well laid out, with a living room and two toilets, which made the stay very comfortable. A one-time-use bathtub cover was provided for hygiene, which I appreciated. The smart toilet bowl automatically opens the lid—though it still catches me off guard sometimes. I stayed for two nights. As part of my usual routine, I always check the TV and Wi-Fi functionality upon check-in, and I noticed that the TV in the bedroom was not working. I reported this to the reception, but it was not fixed during my stay. On the second night, there were inconsistent loud banging noises coming from the upper floor between 9–10 pm, which sounded like construction. This was also reported to the reception, and they sent a staff member to my room to check. She also heard the noise when I asked her to come inside the room, to my surprise the noise can only be heard in my room, not even outside the door. As I had just returned to the hotel at that time, I told her I would monitor the situation and inform her if the noise continued closer to my bedtime. She was apologetic and mentioned that she would look into the issue. I appreciated her effort, although the noise was disruptive and did affect my overall experience. The hotel is about a 30-minute drive to Tongren Railway Station and around 10 minutes to Tongren Ancient City. I would recommend this hotel if you’re only staying for a short period since there’s nothing much to do other than visiting the Fan Jing Shan Mountain (personal opinion). Side note: bed quality is indeed good, just nice for people with back pain issue.

We stayed for two nights because the hotel is conveniently located near Fanjingshan. While the location was suitable for our visit, the overall experience was disappointing. The hotel was extremely quiet when we first arrived, and it appeared that we were the only guests during our stay. Unfortunately, the level of service did not meet expectations. On our first night, we requested washing powder so that we could do some laundry. We were told that it had run out and that more would be available the following morning. However, when we checked the next day, there was still no washing powder available. More frustratingly, the staff made no effort to update us on the situation or offer an alternative solution. This lack of communication and initiative was disappointing. The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable. We eventually decided to extend our stay by one more night because my wife was experiencing back pain and preferred not to travel. However, our sleep quality did not improve. At around 6:00 a.m., we were awakened by other guests talking loudly in the corridor and by the constant noise of doors opening and closing. The soundproofing appears to be poor, as noises from the hallway could be clearly heard inside the room. Between the uncomfortable bed, inadequate sound insulation, and the lack of attentiveness from the staff, we did not get the restful stay we had hoped for. .

The courtyard layout was exactly what I wanted, and the cleanliness was also excellent. I would definitely come back again. It was a very satisfying experience!

The courtyard features a charming Dong ethnic garden style, with a gurgling stream flowing by, creating a serene and cool environment. The rooms are clean, and relaxing on the balcony is delightful, ensuring a comfortable stay in the mountainous area. The front desk service is attentive, and there's free parking for those driving. I think they saw me wandering about and figured I was looking for their hotel haha. Gave me guidance on how to get to fanjingshan. I booked a budget room with non adjustable temperature but they gave me a fan. Booked for a single bed no window but got a double with window so that was nice. It seems to be run by a nice family. bit of a language barrier but you can communicate over translate - hotels ask for more details than hostels so if you don't speak chinese you should prepare your name, nationality, phone number, previous city etc. with chinese labels beforehand to make the process smoother Location Walking distance from train station. You can walk into the central town but there is a nearby bus stop too (although all the buses I went on were crammed). Also walking distance to the tourist centre bus stop to other cities. Has shops below. I think I might have struggled a bit to find it if they hadn't seen me. quite a nice view of the surrounding buildings and their lights A bit grubby around the edges e.g. the toilet hadn't been cleaned and it was very close to the shower, but it is so cheap you can't really complain More hostel vibes than hotel
