My room was a sanctuary of comfort. Everything, from the plush bedding to the spacious layout, was thoughtfully designed to cater to relaxation. The clean lines and calming ambiance created a haven where I could truly unwind.

Very clean. But is kind of expensive, but no much other choice in this area

The room was dark and cozy, making it easy to sleep well. However, I was awakened around 8 AM by the sound of a vacuum cleaner operated by the staff, though my partner wasn’t disturbed. The tatami-style bed was comfortable, providing a unique and relaxing experience. The hot shower, however, required letting the water run for about five minutes before it warmed up—a surprise when the receptionist informed me. When I questioned whether this was wasteful, he simply responded, "It is what it is," explaining that the heater is located on a high floor. Overall, I was satisfied with the stay, but considering the price paid, it didn’t feel cheap. The breakfast options were somewhat limited, and by the time I arrived, the nasi lemak was nearly finished. A little more variety and better replenishment would have been appreciated.

Located near the DVOM and IKEA to kill time during weekend, close to the Penang bridge and the other end of the bridge is the airport, very lovely location. Good restaurants can be found within walking distance.

Hotel is located near the Batu Kawan light industrial areas, as well as the Village outlet mall Penang. There are many cafes and restaurants within a short walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast is very simple. I'd not opt for breakfast again in the future. It's better to eat in the cafe nearby. Hotel looks pretty new. Overall it's clean and comfy

Okay not bad for a night stay. Loved our stay at Upper House Penang! The boutique vibe was cozy yet stylish, and the rooms were clean, modern, and well-equipped. The location is super convenient — close to cafes, local eats, and Georgetown attractions. Staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. A great place for couples or families looking for a comfortable and central base in Penang. Would definitely stay here again!

Those who stay at batu kawan, this would be your stay. Well connected to highways and even to penang second bridge is convenient to reach for.

Spacious room for 2 person. Amenities are okay, location wise is great with a lot restaurant nearby.

Decent hotel for short personal / business trip. Facilities still considerably new.

Great location if your activity area is around BKIP. More eateries opening in Vervea, so lunch & dinner no longer an issue, many options within walking distance.

Good hotel. Simple breakfast but there are fast foods nearby. And Ikea also. Swimming pool also long and 1.4 meters depth. Great for swimming.

Single bed very small and breakfast so bad

location is convenient . is the near ikea and eateries .staff is very helpful.the swimming pool is very good too.
