Very nice resort with the most beautiful and cleanest beach on the island. Staff very friendly. Wi-Fi coverage could be better, cleanliness OK.

Hotel avoided because the manager after 7 calls and 2 days passed did not even call us back. We had to ask other hotels after we disembarked from the boat to come pick us up so we were already starting before even checking in with one point less for service. Gentlemen, it's good to have a family business but respect for these customers is the first point to respect. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the hostess who tried to explain to us that her boss is a big C... inexperienced and with no education. We continue by discovering our room on this point it is clean and the only thing that is good in this hotel is not cheap for 2*. The materials are low-end, the bed is not really comfortable and the worst thing is the discovery of the hand shower which does not appear in the photos. There is no pressure and it's not possible to pay €70 a night and not be able to feel clean. One point less for the hotel. Once the frustration is over, we relax on the deckchairs and ask for a cocktail for $4 which is horribly expensive but the worst is that there is no alcohol in it, the spring rolls are full of oil was good. What happens next is terrible because I fall asleep on the deckchair after swimming where I have the feeling that the water is not clean, which is true for this entire area of the beach that I have avoided. I wake up with little itchy pimples (more than 50 in total) and that's the start of 4 days of pain. because. the beach is not cleaned by the hotel compared to all the others and therefore sand fleas have enjoyed more than 50 pimples which are extremely itchy. From there I just hope to leave and I decide like last year to return to the passion resort because at least it's clean and at only €25 more there is no comparison possible. I absolutely do not thank Saracen Hotel because it is the most low-end and poorly managed hotel that I have seen in Cambodia, yet at €70 per night I find it scandalous. To be complete, the room is correct or even giant with this lack of interior furniture and the cracked walls will not last forever. Breakfast is overpriced and it's not crazy to go to the beach, there are better and much cheaper options: $4 versus $6.75 for not much. I am disgusted because I still have the after-effects of your negligence even though I paid for a non-existent service. Kisses from a diamond member who only talks about his horrible experience, who lives around 120 days a year in the hotel and who has a primary requirement for customer service and that is beyond bad.

Breakfast is a la carte, English, American and local. The hotel's small rowing boats are placed by the sea, and guests can use them at will, but they are also responsible for their own safety. The hotel provides immersion suits. There are no other stores on both sides of this hotel, and the rooms are all independent, so it is very quiet during the day and night. There are few rooms in this store, so the beach chairs and sea in front are relatively clean, and you can take pictures of the beach and sea where there are no people. The sea water is clear, but there are very few fish. The high tide and low tide change greatly, the shallow water area is very long, and the sand is fine, which is very suitable for children. You can't see the sunrise on the sea from this location, it's from the bay mountain, the angle is not good, it's a pity. In the afternoon, the mountain on the left will cover the scorching sun, and it is very good to go to the sea at this time. The hotel lunch is more than one dollar more expensive than other restaurants on the island. The taste is not bad, and the environment is better.

opStunning. The best location on Saracen Bay in my opinion without a doubt. Spacious, wide beach area with plenty of sunbeds and grass thatch umbrellas tucked away at the much quieter and more picturesque end of the beach. Complete serenity and peace and quiet here, it's impossible not to unwind and relax instantly from the moment you arrive. The beach is beautiful- wide and clean as opposed to further down where it tends to be narrower and the other resorts in the middle of the beach I felt were packed quite closely right next to each other. We booked a sea front villa for 6 nights, paid a bit extra but so worth it for that paradise view when you slide open those doors every morning. It's breathtaking to watch the sun rise at 6am from just outside your villa. The hotel staff messaged me before our arrival to confirm which Ferry we were arriving on and to ensure someone was at the pier to collect us from the Ferry and to transfer our luggage to the hotel. ( It is then only a short 150 metre walk from RUMI Pier to the hotel.) The villa was very large and spacious, excellent air-con and good wifi in the villa, on the beach and in the restaurant. Shower pressure was a little weak but it does the job and so didn't bother us. A Safe and fridge are also provided in each villa which was spotlessly clean and housekeeping came in each day to do our room ( you have to request this at Reception) The Staff were all wonderful, so friendly and welcoming, and arranged a private boat trip for us to do snorkelling, fishing and then a visit to M'Pai Bay to watch the sunset. We left at 2pm returning at 7pm. Cost $60. There are a couple of Mini Marts further down the beach if you want to stock up on anything for the fridge, drinks, snacks etc. ( the closest one is right next door to Big Easy Hostel half way down the beach) Lazy Beach is a 30-40 minute hike from the hotel across the island to watch sunset, i wore flip flops but some of the route is inclined over very gravelly, rocky tracks with very sharp stones and rocks so sturdier walking sandals or trainers would have been more suitable as my flip flops felt the pain a bit! We opted not to book breakfast at the hotel as we like the flexibility to stroll early morning and try different places along the beach and there are plenty of choices of restaurants within a short 5 -10 minute walk that offer breakfast menus. We loved everything about our stay here, it really was faultless. If you are searching for complete tranquility and total peace and quiet, look no further, this is the place to be. Absolute picture- perfect paradise!!

Came here after visiting an incredible resort on Koh Rong, so it had a high bar to achieve from the outset. Saracen Bay resort is very very good! Amazing views, large room, fridge which is a bonus, comfy bed, kettle (another bonus) and the staff are really polite and friendly, typical Cambodian - the loveliest people you could wish to meet. The sea is shallow for about 100 meters with crystal clear water and powder white sand, there is some areas along the beach away from the hotel which are, tatty - but the hotels beach is great, and only residents can use the very spacious sunbathing area! It's 4 circles due to a few points. We had a beach front room, like I said earlier, amazing views - if you could see out of the glass which was very dirty and I had to request them to be cleaned. The safe didn't work, not a biggie as it's a very honest place to be but nonetheless, I like to put our passports in a safe and a solution could not be offered. The bathroom door was significantly warped and wouldn't close, not a huge problem to me and my wife as we've been married 20 years, but still - taking a number 2 with an open door isn't great. Then there was the accumulation of dust balls on the bathroom window ledge, just a culmination of lack of attention to detail. Housekeeping is on request, even emptying the bins which I think should be a standard daily task as a minimum. The restaurant here serves magical meals, they were outstanding - every single one of them! A large selection, always piping hot and served with a smile, very good value as well, not at all expensive. It's a pity about the downsides as the up parts are really good, but you can't give out top marks for somewhere that has room for improvement. Koh Rong Sanloem is a very chilled island and this hotel is a good one, hopefully they iron out some of the issues and become the go to place to stay, it is already to go to place to eat for me!

What a fabulous place to stay. The best part for us were the staff - all very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They even invited us to their private New Year's Eve party. The have a real understanding of what guests want on holiday and really make the stay memorable. The location at one end of the beach is great as it's not not a 5 minute walk (along the white sands!) to other bars and restaurants. The rooms are well equipped, spacious and are laid out in such a way that you get excellent privacy. Food at the restaurant is very reasonably priced and of a high quality.

The bungalow we rented was right behind a white sand beach. It was large, clean and very well maintained. The entire resort was spotless and the staff were very helpful. The food at the restaurant was good, with a large choice of dishes. We really enjoyed our stay and hope we will return one day!

We stayed for 5 nights with our two small children. We were pleasantly surprised by the outlook of the bungalow we had (A-4) with our door opening immediately onto the beach. Pros: - no extra cost to have a mattress made up for our two small children (1yo & 3yo) in the room with us. The cost at comparable reports on the island for this would be nearly double our room rate! - very quiet location only a short walk to the busier parts of the beach. This meant it was easy to calm the children and have a restful night. Again at comparable resorts you would be nestled between backpacker hostels and bars which may not be suitable with small children. - staff were lovely and welcoming of the children. - rooms had great air conditioning, clean and had plenty of towels. - cleaning staff were incredibly efficient! They reset our rooms while we were at breakfast. - food and drinks were reasonably priced and of reasonable quality. Cons: - the wifi in the room is hardly usable and may be better in cabins closer to the reception. But they would really benefit from an extender! - to charge anything you need to have your key in the room. This meant we could only charge devices overnight. Overall a great stay with small children, we would happily stay again. Even without a pool it is only USD$10 for an adult to access the Sara resort pool for the day with that value given in credit towards food and beverages, with a towel provided, which we found to be good value.

Great value for beachfront large stand alone concrete cottages with outstanding views of the bay. The bed, pillows and blackout curtains provided the best rest possible. Simply perfect stay. They sent a boat to take us to the resort to begin our experience. Great staff and highly recommend this resort in paradise!

Overall I am very happy and will come back here if we return to this island. It’s friendly, easygoing, not crowded. The beach is cleaner and uncrowded. Nice beach chairs and grass- thatched umbrellas. Three rows of bungalows, with the closest to the beach most expensive probably, but we stayed in the farthest, an additional 20 seconds walk away.

The room in this resort is really big and spacious, you can book the one with Seaview and that’s really good, when you wake up can see nice view is really relaxing. Room also been cleaned everyday, change sheets and towel, sometimes need to request. Shampoo and body wash and other items recommend to bring from home because they don’t provide everyday unless requested. Wifi works fine, sometimes electricity disappear but is something happens all around the island and usually just for short period time, like 1/2 minutes. Food I don’t really recommend, unless you get free breakfast, the food is not the best in the island, they didn’t have fresh juice for example while other resort has it. You can rent kayak for free, I didn’t do it but it what it says, seems other resort might don’t rent for free. Staff are really polite and friendly as most of the people staying on the island. Little issue happened when I checked in, they mistakenly give us wrong room, lucky I asked and they checked the reservation again. Not sure if was International or not. Overall if you want privacy, quite place is probably the best resort on the island. And going to other resort is just a bit of walk on the beach.
