Montreal Hotels with Shuttle Service

The surrounding environment is generally good. The road conditions are not very good. Parking is convenient. There are special people to help you. The hotel environment is good. The inside is very good. The facilities are very new.

Because of the epidemic, Canada has closed its borders, so I can only go through the border one day in advance and check into the hotel to prepare for the next day's flight. The hotel’s service is attentive, the room has been allocated when you arrive one hour after booking

My wife and I drove to Montreal to visit our son on 5/28/23 and 5/29/23. We made a two night reservation at the Hotel St. Thomas. I asked one of the staff members whether the Valet Parking that they offer was safe and secure as we felt that it would be logistically easier for us than parking at the recommended lot near our son’s condo. I was assured that it was “safe and secure” and monitored by video surveillance, so we decided to utilize the valet service. On the morning of 5/30/23, I requested that my car be brought around to the front at 8:00am (we had a long drive back to our home in Baltimore, MD, USA). My car did not arrive at 8:00am, so at about 8:20am, I asked the person at the desk about the delay. She told me that “your car has been stolen”. Needless to say, we were in shock. We called the police and after a short time a very nice officer arrived and filed a report. He also explained that car theft is a terrible problem in Montreal. He explained that the thieves are very sophisticated and that they target US cars which they steal and take to the nearby port for quick shipment abroad. We called Lexus to have them try to trace the car to no avail (the officer said that the first thing that the thieves do is to disable the tracking system). We then walked around to the allegedly “safe and secure” parking lot to see it first-hand. It’s open air with very easy access. We immediately called our insurance company (Geico) to file a claim. We then had to figure out how to get home. We tried the airlines, but the few flights that were available were outrageously expensive. We then tried rental cars, but there were none available at any of the rental car companies that could be picked up in Montreal and dropped off in the US. We finally found an Uber driver who was willing to drive us to the Burlington, VT airport where we could rent a car from Budget for our drive back to Baltimore. Geico does not cover the cost of a rental car until 48 hours after the event is reported so we had to personally pay for the rental car to get us back to Baltimore, the above mentioned Uber ride, the approximately $1,822 of personal items in the car, and the $250 insurance deductible. After we returned home, I called the hotel’s owner to ask about the video footage of the parking lot. He said that they saw nothing on the video (makes me suspicious regarding whether there really is video surveillance) and to request reimbursement for our out-of-pocket costs resulting from the theft of our car while it was under their custody and care. Honestly, the hotel surely knew of the problem of car thefts in Montreal and should have warned us and forgone the $35 parking fee. If they had, we would have used the other parking facility recommended by our son. The owner passed me off to the hotel administrative staff. I sent the staff an email, and they replied with an offer to reimburse us for the Uber ride ($275.71) and a 15% discount on our stay ($90.08). In summary, our out-of-

Disappointing. The hotel amenities state that there is a 24 hour free airport shuttle bus, it does not run 24 hours. We had to pay for a taxi back to the airport. There was a cold water dispenser with lemons in the lobby but it was empty. A coffee machine was provided in the room, however, of the 3 coffee pods one was used and only thin plastic cold beverage cups were provided. The room was big, shows signs of wear but the air conditioning worked well and the bed was comfortable. The area around the hotel is a typical airport hotel, not much going on.

Check-in is very fast, there is a deposit, breakfast is OK, free for children under 12, but not the same as adults, can not help themselves, can only choose one of the free breakfast menu, swimming pool, table tennis facilities are OK, children like, It’s a little bit strange about children’s breakfast. I don’t know how the hotel is arranged.

The breakfast was very simple. We stayed for three or four nights and had a lot of red rash on the body. The room has a taste. There is a parking lot, and there is a parking place outside the first floor, so it is recommended to pull the curtain even if the window is opened.

Wir kamen nachmittags in der Unterkunft an. Auf Klingeln und Klopfen an beiden Haustüren wurde nicht reagiert. Somit rief ich den Besitzer telefonisch an, dieser kam dann nach ca. 10 Minuten endlich heraus. Er musste länger nach unserer Reservierung suchen und wirkte dabei sehr genervt und unfreundlich. Er sagte uns, dass wir erst nach 16 Uhr das Zimmer beziehen können. Wäre für uns auch ok gewesen, dann meinte er, wenn wir ihm 15 Minuten geben, dann können wir doch schon gleich ins Zimmer. Leider hat sich der Besitzer dann selbst ausgesperrt und musste dann andere Gäste herausklopfen, damit diese ihm die Türe öffnen. Auch hier wirkte er sehr unorganisiert und gestresst. Dann warteten wir ca. 10 Minuten vor der Türe und konnten dann ins Zimmer. Das Zimmer war absolut sauber und ordentlich, hier kann man wirklich nicht meckern. Die Nacht war ruhig. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war wirklich eine Katastrophe, hätten wir das vorher gewusst, wären wir ohne Frühstück gegangen. Wir mussten an einem kleinen Tisch in einer Küche essen, die vollgestellt war mit Umzugskartons, Farbresten am Boden und Löchern in der Decke. Sehr unangenehm und unappetitlich. Jeder von uns bekam einen Kaffee/Tee und einen Orangensaft. Ein Joghurt wurde serviert, sowie ein Brotkorb mit einem Stück Weißbrot und einem Croissant pro Person, sowie einem abgepackten Mini-Muffin. Es gab eine kleine Schale Butter und Marmelade, fertig. Der Besitzer blieb während des ganzen Frühstücks hinter uns an der Küchenzeile stehen und spielte am Handy und wickelte Telefonate ab. Die Stimmung war wirklich gruselig und unangenehm, sodass wir nach kurzer Zeit fertig waren und nur noch rauswollten. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, das Zimmer war sehr klein, aber sauber und ordentlich, jedoch hat die Unfreundlichkeit und die schlechte Stimmung des Besitzers den Aufenthalt sehr unangenehm gemacht. Dieses B&B wurde vom Reisebüro im Rahmen unserer Rundreise gebucht. Wir würden in keinem Fall wieder kommen.

The reception staff and specially supervisor Noemi is awesome, She has great skills to hanle any concerns during your stay. I had an issue staying in my room, water leakage from the window early morning and she compensate fairly also booked us the taxi to the airport. I will recommend everyone who want to stay in this hotel. Keep it up 👍

I arrived a little early and ended up waiting in the lobby for my room. Unfortunately, the individual who initially “greeted” me (Yasser) was less than pleasant. When I went to check much later on my accommodation, Cassandra informed me that my room had been ready. Now she was GREAT!! She was kind and informative. I was pleasantly surprised after being disregarded by the previous person. My room was great! The gym is also really nice. The pool was closed, which I did not expect and was a major reason I picked this property. During check out, Mo was just the kindest person! There was also a shuttle to the airport. Based on my check in experience and the pool being closed, I’m a little in between as to whether or not I would recommend this property. I don’t like paying for things that are unavailable without notice. However, my room was clean and the gym was great. I did cross the street and get food from the Sheraton, which looked great. Nearby option.
