"We booked this hotel pretty much last minute, just a week before Grand Prix, last room available. Of course non-refundable about $600, which is considered fair and acceptable due to major event. Hotel location is very good, 5 mins walk to metro and many walking distance fast food stores, like McDonald's, Wendy, Harvey to choose from. Also close to Royal Mount Mall within 10 mins driving distance or, metro accessible over skywalk bridge. Room is spacious and clean. Plenty of free parking and right off highway."

Hôtel Saint-Laurent Montréal ★★★
"We stayed for 4 nights and the location is perfect. It's in between two metro stations, both are about 6-7 mins walk (Champ de Mars, and Saint Laurent) depends which line you are in. We arrived by train and took the metro at Bonaventure (this is connected to the Central station: "Gare Centrale") and arrived at Champ de Mars. There is a supermarket 5 mins away ("IGA") and the airport bus station is by the hotel. Chinatown is 7 mins away and make sure you visit Sammi dumplings. There is a food court ("Le Central") 5 mins away although we found it slightly expensive. The Old Port of Montreal and Notre-Dame Basilica are about 15 mins away from the hotel. Facilities: As a number of people said, the rooms are quite basic and need a lot of uplift. Our room doesn't have any sofa (which was different from the pictures here) but functional so there is no complain. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans. We cooked our dinner twice. Staff and service: all staff are friendly and very helpful, gave advice on directions and always have a smile."

"The room was new, the bed and pillow were comfortable, but there was no toothbrush or toothpaste the night I checked in. I didn't brush my teeth all night and bought a toothbrush the next morning. This is the first time I've ever stayed in so many hotels without toothpaste or toothbrushes. The parking lot is so rubbish, so small, and my car was scratched. It's really dangerous."
