Pingyao Hotels with Airport Shuttle

Really beautiful building. Inside the walls of the ancient city, 5-10 minutes walk to the principal attractions. The host helped with a free transport from the north gate to the hotel both when arriving and leaving the stay. Breakfast included, good price/quality stay. Would repeat.

We arrived in the evening and it was raining a lot therefore we appreciated so much their free pick up from the train station to the hotel! The structure is simply beautiful and the owners are really kind. They gifted us of a local vinegar bottle, the rooms are simple but clean and the breakfast as well is nice. The position is strategic in the city centre of the old Pingyao. They allowed us to store our luggages on the day of the departure. We definitely recommend to stay here :)

The room is pretty good and clean. There are disposable towels. The two bosses are very nice. They will help you make a guide and give you a map. They will also tell you where the nearby delicious restaurants are! They will also help you get discounts! ! Highly recommended! You can also buy tickets to see Pingyao again at the boss's house! And the boss will give you a ride! The boss is very attentive! And the location of the homestay is very good in the ancient city, not very remote! Recommended! The cat at the boss's house is also very cute! !

A perfect home in the ancient city, what a great experiance!! The host is super helpful, the room very clean, the breakfast was yummy 😋😋 I only regret that I haven't been there in summer to enjoy their beautiful courtyard for a coffee, take s look on the photo 😍

Lovely place, very charming as it's an old typical Chinese house. The owner is super nice and very helpful. They serve a traditional Chinese breakfast, beautifully arranged. The room is a bit small, a chair or a bench would be useful but the bed is comfortable. A very nice stay. Ps it's not easy to find as it's in a back alley, just asl someone for direction..

Location Perfectly situated in a quiet area away from the crowds of the main tourist sites, the hotel offered a peaceful sanctuary after long days of exploring. The silence and calm added to the authenticity of the experience, as if we had truly stepped into another era. Design & Atmosphere The preservation of the original architecture and layout of the academy was breathtaking. Every detail of the hotel—from the wooden beams to the stone pathways—exuded historical charm. The sense of place was so strong that it felt like we were emperors transported back in time. Room We stayed in the Shuyuan Canopy Bed Suite, which was immaculate and exquisitely designed. The amenities were thoughtfully curated, blending modern convenience with traditional elegance. The canopy bed was a highlight, evoking a luxurious, regal atmosphere. We were particularly touched by the high-quality tea sets provided, which allowed us to enjoy our own private tea time in the comfort of the room. Service From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional—always smiling, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Free transportation from the train station was a seamless and much-appreciated touch that set the tone for the rest of our stay. Facilities Every facility was carefully maintained and contributed to the overall harmony of the space. The hotel’s attention to detail extended to every corner, making for a deeply enriching and relaxing experience. Breakfast The only area with room for improvement was the breakfast. Served in a traditional 9-bowl box, it lacked variety and felt more like a school meal than a luxury experience. We would have loved more choices and the ability to select our dishes instead of receiving a pre-chosen set. With an upgraded breakfast service, this hotel would truly be flawless. Final Thoughts This stay was one of the most unique and memorable travel experiences we've ever had. A perfect blend of heritage, hospitality, and comfort. We would return in a heartbeat—and next time, hopefully with a breakfast experience to match the rest of the hotel’s excellence.

The overall style of the hotel is Chinese with the ancient charm of Shanxi merchants. The room is decorated in the traditional style of northern folk houses, which allows people to fully integrate into the life of the ancient city. (It's a pity that I didn't take many photos of the hotel, so the reference for everyone is a bit weak 😢) In terms of facilities, as a new hotel, there is a very convenient direct drinking machine, each room has independent Wi-Fi, the TV can support screen projection, and the bathroom is equipped with a disposable toilet pad suitable for smart toilets. (I was quite surprised to have these facilities in the ancient city!) The environment is very clean. I am a person who is very picky about the environment of the hotel when traveling abroad. This time I stayed for four consecutive days and was very satisfied overall! ! The aunt will also come to clean the sanitation in time to ensure that the room is always clean and comfortable~ The hotel is located on the bustling South Street (I looked at many hotels, and later when I was wandering around the streets in the ancient city for the last few days, I found that this hotel really has the best location, which is also very lucky. I finally chose this one~), if you want to go shopping and eat very conveniently, you must choose this one! (Believe me!!) The most important thing is that the owners are a couple with very good personalities (the elder sister is very beautiful and the uncle is also lively and cheerful hahahahahahahahaha), it is really happy to meet a very good inn owner when traveling! (We can chat with each other in our spare time, and they arranged a car to Qiao's Courtyard for us in a considerate and timely manner, and also enthusiastically picked us up at Pingyao Ancient City Station)

The mansion is located in the ancient city, within walking distance of several core attractions. Before arrival, the shopkeeper Qiao will arrange for a brother to pick you up in the ancient city, which is a thoughtful arrangement. The mansion itself is also a work of art. The three courtyards are neat and clean, the rooms are well-equipped, and the breakfast is rich in variety and reasonable in nutrition. The only regret is that the sound insulation of the old building is not very good, and the various noises of the guests upstairs in the middle of the night really affect the rest.

The hotel is in a good location, walking distance from the east gate of the city. It is a large hotel with spacious and clean rooms. Most importantly, the staff at the reception were very helpful. They gave us travel information, arranged a car to take us to the train station, and contacted a clothes rental shop for us. Even though there were many guests during our stay, the hotel still opened a buffet breakfast for our group. The only bad thing was that when I first entered the room, I saw a pile of hair in the toilet bowl. The housekeeper probably took it out of the bathroom grate and put it in the toilet bowl but didn't flush it. Also, when I was about to take a shower, there was no shower gel in the bottle. They should have checked before the guests checked in. I called the reception, but no one answered, so I called the housekeeping department.

Although transportation is inconvenient, parking is convenient, making it an ideal choice for an in-depth experience of the ancient city!
