As soon as I entered the door, I found that... the inn was much better than the pictures! I stayed in a tatami bed room. Although the room is small. But there are beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows facing the sea and the sky. At night, close the window and turn on the small air conditioner, and you can use the projector to watch all kinds of movies and TV you like. It takes only five minutes to walk to the lively bars and the central area. It is much better than living in the middle of the noisy! I will come again 100 times!!!! And, the housekeeper at the front desk is great. The service is in place, super awesome!

A great place to stay right in Dapeng Fortress if you want to experience staying in an actual historical house. We really enjoyed our 2 nights' stay at Buyan Inn. The host, Tony was very friendly and helpful and speaks excellent English. We managed to contact him through Wechat about our arrival and he walked out to meet us to show us the way to the inn when we arrived by DiDi. The inn is in the old Town but just a 1 minute walk out so it was very convenient for foreign travellers who don't have their own transportation. Buyan Inn also has a restaurant. We tried the barbecue and it was delicious. There are many snack shops in the old Town. We also wanted to try some traditional food and found a traditional restaurant where the locals go to for meals just outside the old Town, a few minutes' walk from Buyan inn. All in all, we had a very memorable stay in Buyan Inn.

The store is very good, let us look at the room first, and then choose which one to live in. We chose the 4th floor. The stairs were wide and it was not hard to carry the luggage. The room was clean, the bathroom was dry and wet, but the TV was broken and the wardrobe was missing a crossbar. The door is a code lock, we are not familiar with it, and we have to take some time every time we open the door. Outside the room is a public activity space, friends can smoke on the balcony and watch the sea view. There was an accident in the early morning. I communicated with the store in the morning. They apologized repeatedly. I hope to come back next time. The situation has improved.

The location and view from the room were amazing, I saw that there was a bathtub in the image of the room I booked but it wasn't actually in the room. The guy who runs the hotel is very helpful as he helped us book a taxi back to the city, plenty of places to eat around in the area and the service was great. One thing I did not like was how they said the stay included a complementary photo session, however, we found out later that only 3 photos were free, and have to pay 30rmb each for the rest of the photos which is very unreasonable. So just take photos yourself they will be better.

With breakfast, afternoon tea, a late-night sweet soup, and even a parting gift, it offered excellent value for money. The view from the floor-to-ceiling windows was absolutely stunning. I used to prefer sea view rooms, but after experiencing this mountain forest view, I've completely fallen in love. I'll definitely be back. One small suggestion: the balcony glass felt a bit unstable, which could be a safety concern.
