Very near the main road, and few minutes' walk to the old town, shops and eateries. Very convenient. Room was cozy, clean and with good heating. Very friendly staff.

Two male owners very sweet and laid back. Perfect adjoining room for family of 4, with the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in since I can remember. Heated walls and beds, beautiful old and not ostentatious place with easy access to all of beautiful old town.

The place is located at the border of the ancient city. Therefore it’s easy to reach all places by feet or taxi and plenty of restaurants are around. Even by minus degrees you will not feel cold in the rooms and the shower water is close to steam… - breakfast was included and is a simplified Chinese breakfast. Coffee is basically not available. Cleaning could be better especially in bathroom. The place is led by young couples and they are helpful for any organization needed, even though just with translation. Overall it’s a good option in Shangri-La for which you should not plan more than one day & night visit.

The owner was nice and kind, but the room wasn’t cleaned and really cold! The dog was barking the whole night. So sorry to say, but I can’t recommend that hotel.

Due to a change in my itinerary, I arrived at Shangri-La early. I originally wanted to check into the reserved room in advance, but the hotel was very busy and was already fully booked. I found this room temporarily and the service was good. However, the room we stayed in looked down on the back alley and was not a clean one. However, the shower window and door in our room did not close tightly. After closing, there was still a 7 to 8 cm gap. I was worried about mice entering the room all night long. But putting this aside, its price/performance ratio is still acceptable.

Because it was a private lodging, service was limited. Breakfast at a nearby restaurant seems to be a good local restaurant.

It is very close to the center of Dukezong Ancient City and has convenient transportation. Didi taxis are available all the way to the door. Although there is snow in March, the room is very warm and the hot water is very hot. The boss is also great. The front desk staff are very friendly. You can book dinner in the restaurant. Home, food, accommodation and transportation are really convenient! I’ll stay here again next time!
