Home stay live in good location near attractions. For young people is best for walking. But for the older who have knee joint problem may a bit tried but the place not far from Dukezong ancient city so you feel convenient. The receptionist at front is very good, always support me , there is tricycle pickup-drop down from the home stay. Have a nice view at the rooftop , be one place that we recommended to other people.

My room 303 has fantastic views, it is directly facing 转经筒和大佛寺. For those rooms without landmark view, there is a roof top viewing platform to enjoy the view of old town and above. The hotel is not brand new but very well kept. It is high up the slope so hotel provides pick up and drop off service to north gate of Dukezong ancient town. They also help to carry my luggage down from my room on 3rd floor room. Although breakfast is not included, there are many eatery just a few mins down the slope. I found a restaurant near by with delicious ******* breakfast for only 20¥ per person.

The lady at the front desk is helpful. She answered all my questions through WeChat. She upgraded our room to the one that has the best view.

The owner very helpful assist you to book ticket for the place you want to go because we are foreigners required local mobile phone to book ticket. Recommend to stay at this hotel.

Owner very friendly which is really useful!! Helped us with luggages and with recommending places. Couldnt find much recommendations on food online so it helped! Rooms also clean and neat. Oxygen machine really useful as air is thin here especially at night. Will def come again

We love the big clean spacious room with nice view. The room is so big that we can fully open 2 big luggages and still have plenty of space. Located in the heart of the old city, with many shops and restaurants around. The bed is very comfortable, and they provided oxygen machine and humidifier, which are great for high-altitude stay. There is a sofa in the room, too. The operator is very friendly and helpful. He even woke up early to send us to the main road as it will be challenging to lug our luggages along the uneven ancient road. Will stay at this hotel again if we come back to Shangri-La. Clean and look exactly like the photos. You will have to give the hotel a call for them to pickup your luggage (not recommended to drag your luggages through the rocky floor). Staff services were great and responsive. The hotel is tucked away in the old town area but is still really close to the main area of the old town which is really convenient.

The hotel is situated in the middle of the ancient city but the location of the hotel is a bit high up the hill. Thank God they could pick you up at the North Gate using their buggy. But when checking out, they could only bring your luggage to the gate, it would be dangerous if they carry you down the hill using their buggy....overall I am satisfied with their service..

Very beautiful room with great view of the golden bell. Also really loved the sky light bringing natural lighting into the room from above. The hotel provides transport service to and from the 北门 of the ancient city so you don’t need to worry about having to lug your luggage up the slope. The oxygen machine provided in the room was also a life saver to combat high altitude sickness after a day of sightseeing. Its convenient location within the ancient city also ensured that there was food and drinks easily accessible during our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel!

The host was incredibly kind—upgraded our room and was extremely helpful with everything we needed.

The place is so nice & clam. Not far from the north gate of old town. The hosts are helpful & have service mind. I can recommend this hotel is superb !!!!

Shangri-La Yunbian View Homestay (located in Dukezong Ancient Town) is up one of the street, offering close proximity to 四方街, where there are nightly traditional dance going on while not getting any of the noise. The room is clean, spacious and cozy with thoughtful amenities - equipped with heated floors, humidifier and oxygen generator with single-used tube to treat altitude sickness. A highlight (and life-saver) was the pick-up and drop off service from /to any point in the Dukezong Ancient Town with the 3 wheelers mini 'truck' —saving us from the struggle of dragging suitcases uphill over cobblestone streets (ki-clogging our way through). We got to ride on the back on of the truck with out luggage during pick up. The owners were helpful and responsive, making our stay smooth and enjoyable. Call the property to inform of your arrival and ask for most convenient pick up location. We extended our stay and had the opportunity to stay in 2 different room types. both rooms offered the panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains. The family room featured two separate bedrooms - one with a king bed and the other with 2 super-twin beds, each room has own vanity top, ensuite shower and a separate toilet. The twin room had two super single beds, a bathtub, a separate shower room and toilet, and a spacious vanity area. The homestay itself is bright and welcoming, with a lovely central sitting area, making it a great place to relax after exploring Shangri-La. Highly recommended for comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality!
