We had an excellent stay at the Shangri-La Designer Homestay Hotel. The location is unbeatable—right next to the iconic prayer wheel and a short stroll to the old town. The room was incredibly spacious with a sleek, modern interior, and we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary drinks in the fridge and fresh fruit on arrival. What really stood out was the outstanding service: the hotel arranged a free shuttle from the train station and even delivered our luggage directly to our room. Every detail was taken care of with genuine hospitality. Bonus points for the adorable and friendly cat who made us feel even more at home. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Shangri-La!

The location was ideal and very convenient to the drop off point and to roam around the ancient town. The room was very cozy and comfortable! There were also fruits for us each night. Despite the absence of a lift and us having four large suitcases, the staff kindly carried all our luggage up to our rooms on the 3rd floor. We were truly grateful for their help!

The location is perfect. It's easy to walk to the old town and back. The room is clean and well-designed. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The breakfast is simple but very tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Friendly and attentive staffs. The environment is cosy and the room is very clean. It is located inside the old town which is convenient to buy food and do shopping around the area. Room is equipped with oxygen supply machine which is a plus! Heated bed and floor as well but it might get a bit too warm.

The hotel is just right outside the old town. Staff and friendly and helpful, recommended us a restaurant where they serve vegetarian food. Room are big and comfortable. Highly recommend.

One of the best accommodation you can find in shangrila... the location is spot on and the customer service is top notch.

Nice place in Shangri-la and it is located next to the eatery street and temple. The area is very happening in the night with all the traditional dancing. The room is clean and the friendly staff helps to bring the luggage from main road up to room. Car cannot stop outside the hotel.

Highly recommend !! Very new and high-tech hotel. The location is excellent and the staffs and services are outstanding. However, disposable towel should be replaced by the real towel

Location at the quiet part of DukeZong ancient city yet it is only a stone throw away. Clean, well-equipped quiet room and we were treated so warmly by the the innkeepers. Will definitely stay here again if I am ever back to Shangri La. Also, their puppy Du Du is very cute!

Enjoyed our 3 night stay at the homestay. Excellent location within 3 mins walk to Yue Guang Square. The room is clean and well maintained and comes with AI assistance which control the lighting, curtains and music, which we needed some getting used to. Staffs are all friendly and helpful and quick to respond over wechat. They have a cute siberian cat at level 1 which I absolutely love! All in all a lovely and quiet homestay which I will recommend.

Lovely homestay on great location with very helpful hosts. Room very well appointed, clean fresh and comfortable. Was nice to make friends with the resident cat over a few days.

Great service and perfect location!

Hotel is well located within the ancient town. The staff gave out fresh fruits daily irregardless of the time we came back to the room. Hospitality was great! Faced an issue on the first day and they were quick to resolve it and they are also prompt in replying to messages. Will definitely recommend the place!
