Shanghai Pudong New Area Hotels

The room was spacious and generally clean, but the soundproofing wasn't great. I was staying overnight for a connecting flight and was woken up by people talking loudly in the hallway. It's possible they were just very loud, though. The room had a window, but it faced the bathroom – luckily, there was a curtain to block it out. The hotel offers airport shuttle service, but when I tried to call the number they gave me from the airport, it was constantly busy, so I ended up taking a taxi myself. The drop-off service to the airport, however, was perfectly fine; I took the hotel's car.

We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to Disneyland, which was very convenient for our trip. They picked up us from hotel to Disneyland and also back to hotel after Disneyland. The location is great, and the staff was attentive and helpful. However, the room we were initially assigned had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which was a downside. Fortunately, when we reported the issue, the staff quickly offered us an alternative room, which we really appreciated. I would recommend that the hotel take extra care to prevent this from happening to other guests. Overall, we had a good experience, but the hotel could improve in ensuring rooms are always fresh and odor-free.

Location: 20-minute shuttle bus ride from Shanghai Pudong Airport. There are stores and restaurants nearby. Cleanliness and room amenities: My room is clean and the bedsheets smelled fresh and clean. The lobby, dining area and elevator were clean too. Water pressure was high in the shower and toilet. Toiletries were provided. There was a nice view of the village from my hotel window. Quiet surroundings. Service: Provided free airport pick-up and drop-off. The staff communicated through Trip.com chat box for instructions. The name of the hotel (in Chinese and in English)is printed on the bus and the driver carries a placard with the name of the hotel written on it too. A bilingual voice-over gave instructions on the shuttle bus. Upon arrival at the hotel, the staff asked me about the time of my airport drop- off. The staff could speak English. The hotel provided a wide selection for breakfast- Chinese and western food which were constantly replenished. Airy and comfortable atmosphere. Tasteful decorations.

Extremely close to Terminal 2, just a few minutes' walk away. The room was quite spacious and clean, which is excellent for those catching a flight. You can see details in the photos. The hotel's dinner buffet was simple but perfectly sufficient to fill you up. If you don't fancy it, there are many shops to choose from downstairs at the airport, which is very convenient. The hotel service was a bit casual, but it fully met our needs. Overall, I still highly recommend it.

Special thanks to Lynn, Vivian, Minnie, and Lily for their excellent service. In the evenings, they'd ask if we wanted turndown service, and at noon, if we needed laundry done. The overall service is truly outstanding. I especially loved the breakfast; it had a great variety and tasted delicious. This is my second trip to Shanghai in two months, and both times I've chosen the Pudong Shangri-La. The location is super convenient, very close to the metro station, and near Super Brand Mall and IFC. It's perfect for both shopping and dining.

I recently stayed at this hotel for my trip in Shanghai, and it was a wonderful experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-designed, with a very comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and always ready to help, especially at the front desk. The location was perfect—just a short walk from restaurants and shopping areas. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

The hotel service was great, with shuttle and tour guide services available. Breakfast and late-night snacks were excellent, and the room was clean, tidy, and odor-free. The staff, especially those handling Pudong Airport pickups, were very enthusiastic. Plus, it's conveniently located right next to a subway station.

Very nice hotel with good friendly staff. They offer free delivery and help to store your Taobao packages. The free breakfast every morning is very delicious with various cuisine selections. The location is very convenient too. Right in the city center and easy to call didi as well as metro which is right across. The bicycles are parked right in front as well so you can rent them. Free water and snacks are given everyday too. Will definitely recommend this place if you were to stay in Shanghai.

Nice and clean hotel. Just that the location not so convenient, taxi cant stop infront of the hotel lobby, hv to stop at the roadside near main entrance. Thank to Ms. Yang who help us with the luggage from the road side till send up to room, and send my parcels to room also. She is friendly and helpful.

This hotel has some strong positives, but one critical negative ruined my stay. The Good: The breakfast is fantastic—delicious and high quality. Also, the floor manager who assisted me on my second night was professional and empathetic, doing everything in his power to find a solution. The Bad: The air conditioning on the 8th floor is broken. It was fixed at 28°C in heating mode for my entire stay from Nov 25-27. This made the room unlivably hot, and despite the staff's best efforts (they provided a fan and tried to find another room), I endured two very uncomfortable nights. Until the hotel fixes the central AC system on that floor, I would be cautious about staying here.
