Shanghai Jing'an District Hotels

This hotel, nestled in the bustling streets of Jing'an District, offers a rare bed-and-breakfast-like feel. Within a kilometer, you'll find numerous attractions and food streets, and transportation is incredibly convenient. A major plus is how safe the area is; I loved getting up early to run 5 kilometers and experience local Shanghai life—it was fantastic! This time, I stayed with my aunt, who usually wakes up easily, but she slept soundly until 9 AM. The hotel staff were very attentive and warm, even giving us hand cream when we checked out. Definitely a well-deserved good review!

Another nice Liyi hotel we’ve stayed in. However I kept thinking of what happened at checkin: First time hotel lady asked if we wanted hotel WiFi and if so we needed to pass our phones over at reception to connect us to hotel WiFi. It just didn’t feel right to give our phone over for someone else to meddle with and reception lady was very cold, insistent and loud. Why can’t we connect with a password in our room like everywhere else? No, there’s something wrong with the hotel WiFi. In the end after some meddling she couldn’t connect me anyway, and repeatedly asked: Why can’t I connect your phone? Does it have a firewall etc? She also told us if we don’t have a local phone number we can’t get discount on breakfast. First time in China for sure when someone went out of her way to be inhospitable.

5/5 – Perfect Family-Friendly Stay in a Great Location We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly attentive and super helpful with our baby, making our family trip so much easier. Their kindness and willingness to assist truly stood out. The location is excellent – situated on a charming street filled with cozy cafes, lively bars, and cute boutiques. It was the perfect spot to explore the area while having everything we needed right nearby. We also appreciated the daily complimentary coffee and bottled water, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh options. The warm, welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. As a returning guest and a long-term stayer, this 5-night stay was quite disappointing in terms of service. My first check-in and check-out were very warm and attentive, which is why I chose to stay again. However, this time, the front desk staff at check-in were far from welcoming, even a bit cold, and I was the only guest checking in. There were no extra words spoken at check-out either. Perhaps they don't care about the experience of returning guests! I'll consider a different hotel next time.

The room was quite spacious, and the hotel is very close to the subway station. There are also plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment options nearby. Although the breakfast selection wasn't huge, they surprisingly had Emmental cheese and Nutella spread, which made it pretty good overall.

Very convenient location, not far from the subway station. The environment is nice, and the front desk staff are very welcoming. The delivery robot bringing food up to the room was also a great convenience. Overall, a really good experience, thumbs up!

Shanghai Jing An NEST Hotel was an amazing experience! It's in a prime location in Jing'an District, within walking distance to the subway and shopping areas, making getting around super convenient. The industrial-style design is very chic, and the room was clean and tidy with soft, comfortable bedding for a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and friendly, even offering complimentary craft beer. The breakfast spread was fantastic, a great mix of Western and Chinese options. Excellent value for money, it's my top choice for business trips or vacations. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai!

We booked the hotel for 5 days & 4 nights, the location is really good just a 5 minutes walk to the subway and its very convienient and easy to find. There are alot of good shops to eat around the hotel and even in front of the hotel; that are more affordable than being in the city. The subway line also easily connects to other attractions so it was not hard to find. Do download Alipay & Wechat to use when on the trip as it makes it easier to communicate with the people especially if you can't speak mandarin. The experience we had was amazing and the hospitality from the hotel team made it even better; everyone was so nice and helpful, they attended to all our needs and queries whenever we needed clarity and assistance. There's a laundry area to wash and dry clothes as well, the cleaning ladies were so kind and helpful and always made sure our rooms were nice and clean. The front desk also allowed us to warm up our meals and let us eat around the lobby so that was really nice. A very unforgettable and memoriable stay and we will definetely come back again.

Big shoutout to Atour Hotel Shanghai Jing'an Nanjing West Road! Seriously, my stay at Atour this time was incredibly comfortable! The room was unbelievably clean – not a single wrinkle on the sheets or duvet, and even the bathroom tile grout was spotless. The decor wasn't flashy either; with the wooden desk and small sofa, it felt as cozy as visiting a friend's home. When I got hungry in the middle of the night, I went downstairs and they actually had hot late-night snacks (from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM) – so thoughtful! And the staff, they were simply amazing. When I asked where to find good food nearby, one of them drew me a simple map right on the spot and was incredibly enthusiastic. 1. Open view 2. Late-night snacks, rich and delicious food

I've stayed in many hotels in Shanghai, but the Kunlun Jing An is definitely my most frequent choice. Its location is simply unbeatable, within walking distance to most popular attractions. The hotel boasts excellent management and comprehensive facilities. Although it's an older five-star hotel, the amenities are far from outdated. The cleanliness standards are high. While parking is not free, the charging mechanism is quite reasonable compared to other hotels that charge for parking, and the price is acceptable. I highly recommend staying here.
