Hey everyone! My stay at the Base Hotel in Shanghai completely blew my mind when it came to value and experience! I absolutely have to recommend it! 1. Foodie delight! Kitchen freedom! As a Chinese foodie, I'm always afraid of not eating well when traveling. Base Hotel surprisingly has a shared kitchen with cooking utensils! It's fully equipped with pots and pans, an induction cooktop, and a microwave. You can grab some groceries from the nearby supermarket and whip up a hot meal in minutes—it's both economical and delicious. Just make noodles in the morning and fry an egg in the evening—it's pure bliss! No more takeout or restaurants for every meal. For those traveling with elderly parents and children, or those staying long-term, this is a true paradise! 2. A cat paradise! What a surprise! The hotel actually has a resident cat! It's a super docile and adorable stuffed animal! It's incredibly friendly, doesn't get angry when you pet it, and even comes up to you for pets. When you're tired from work or back at the hotel, petting the cat for a while and listening to it purr instantly soothes the day's fatigue! When it comes to pet-friendliness, Base wins hands down! 3. Coffee lovers rejoice! Free refills! Free freshly ground coffee is available in the lobby! The beans are top-notch and the aroma is rich, not just those perfunctory instant coffees. Enjoy a cup before heading out in the morning to wake you up, and another in the afternoon when you're tired from shopping. And the best part is, it doesn't cost you anything! Such thoughtful service! I feel like my room fee was completely wasted! 4. Amazing customer service! The customer service guy is so attractive! I was truly blown away upon check-in! The front desk guy is so handsome! He's sunny and handsome, with a friendly smile (and most importantly, his service is superb). He patiently answered questions about directions and requests, and was incredibly efficient. Seeing him every day brightens my mood! (Just admiring it, the hotel's professional service is top marks!) 5. Mysophobes can rest easy! First and foremost: the room was incredibly clean! The bedding was pristine white, the floor was shiny, and the bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, with no odors or water stains. It was clear the cleaning staff were attentive, and the stay was incredibly safe and comfortable. I can't say enough about that! 6. Convenient access to worship and prayer! The location is incredible! It's within walking distance of Longhua Temple! In the morning, you can stroll over to burn incense, pray, eat vegetarian noodles, and experience the tranquility of the ancient temple. For those wanting to visit Longhua Temple, this location is perfect, saving time and effort. Summary: My stay at Base Hotel exceeded all expectations! It's more than just a place to sleep; it felt like a warm, fun, and convenient base for a trip. You could cook to satisfy your Chinese palate, pet cats to soothe your soul, and there was free coffee to keep you going. The room felt clean like home, the location was convenient for worshipping Longhua Temple, and even the staff were pleasant! The value for money was unbeatable!
