Always amazing to stay at The Drama! A boutique hotel with thematically designed rooms, the Drama is excellent for a couple retreat. The staff is kind and thoughtful, and the location of the hotel is within walking distance to a number of attractions in the Jing'an district, including Sleep No More and the Shanghai Starbucks Roastery. Even in the middle of a hot summer, the rooms were cool and well maintained. We always head back to The Drama when we visit Shanghai, and we look forward to our next visit!

We stayed for just one night and really enjoyed the experience. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner, but it’s easy to find a taxi and just a short walk to the metro. It’s also very close to lots of shops and restaurants. Our room was quite spacious, with a comfy bed, a sofa, and a cozy atmosphere. It had everything we needed — a hair dryer, coffee machine, nice toiletries — all the essentials. The theater-themed design adds a fun, artistic touch. Only downside was the Wi-Fi, which didn’t really work during our stay. But aside from that, it’s a great boutique hotel in a super convenient location. Would recommend for a short, stylish stay in Shanghai!

Despite slow check in with room not ready an hour after advertised time, it went up hill from there. The room was great, the hotel much more atmospheric than most. It felt more like a European boutique hotel (but with better bathroom and water pressure - shower was awesome). Bed was really comfortable and I had been skeptical as it said futon bed, but really that just meant a lower one than normal in a hotel. Incredibly convenient for the Majestic Theatre. I thought at first I was going to regret paying this much and should have booked one of the big hotels, I was pleasantly surprised and glad I did choose this one after all. Staff were very polite. Would definitely recommend.

If you are visiting the US Consulate for passport services it is so close, many shops and restaurants nearby.

I spent two weeks in Shanghai as a solo traveler from the US, and The Drama was a wonderful home base. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, the staff were kind, courteous, and responsive, and there was plenty of food options in the area, as well as meals offered by the hotel. I was very pleased with my stay and will not hesitate to come back to The Drama on my next trip!

I had an incredible time for my birthday at the drama hotel. The staff friendly the rooms were superb and the atmosphere of the entire place was electric. if you are looking to spend within this price range and stay at somewhere very special this is a definite first choice for you!

The hotel is differently to others but quiet good. The rooms are well designed The bed is comfortable just there was no showers article at room I has to asked reception for delivery. Breakfast is good also it is delivered to the room directly.
