Park Hotel Shanghai Reviews

The location is very close to Nanjing Road-walking street, only about 200 yards. It is next to the People’s Square. It is less than 200 yards to the subway station. People are friendly. I chose the rate that incudes breakfast. The breakfast has many options for western people. The hotel needs a renovation. The carpet in my room is dirty or worn out. The caulk around the bath tub has molds. I would not choose the hotel again if it stays as it is.

Location, location, location. Close to everything, like… EVERYTHING. I don’t think you can get a better location than this one in Shanghai. About hotel: this feels premium, it’s old, you can feel the history in this place, it’s actually an iconic place in Shanghai. Room: when I entered in the room my first thought was “Nixon was here”, you’re just feeling like in a premium hotel from ‘70s. But there is also a big LCD, and the toilet is next gen, with leds and everything, opens itself when close by and so on. Breakfast: has pretty much everything, asian and continental. Shanghai was my last place in China and after wandering in various places I was longing after a good continental breakfast; funny thing is that I started to prefer also Asian food in the morning lol; fish dumplings are really good here tbh.

Great location and service. However, the facilities were lacking and needed upgrades. There is no cold AC available in the room, we were drenched in sweat for the entire time in there.

Everything was good however the aircon was not really working so it could be a little hot. However u can request for a fan to keep yourself cool

Fantastic locations, a direct subway line 2 from airport to Peoples Square station exit 8. Really quick and convienient and hotel stand in front of traffic light. Easy to find. Very happy with the service. Hotel heard us on over night flight and they arranged us a room by 10 am. The hotel full of history, particularly like the well refurbished furniture and deco. Behind the hotel, there are many eateries. Easy to navigate ti all place of attractions and walking distant to the Bund and Nanking East walking street. Very pleasant experience. Also a nice pastry beside the hotel.

Although it is an historical landmark building, every corner of the hotel shows no sing of rundown. In fact, the hotel is well maintained with luxury touches. The room is clean and spacious. The welcome drinks and snacks are very nice. The breakfast buffet offers both western and Chinese cuisines. The foods are delicious. All staff are pleasant, helpful and professional. Thumb up!

Hotel is old but still very good, location is very close to Nanjing Road, breakfast is excellent, amenities like toothbrush you have to take at receptionist, only negative i experienced is the harsh attitude of the receptionist (male) when i was asking for Wifi Password while checking in

I booked 2 rooms in the hotel for my families as they visited Shanghai. The location is unbeatable, right in the People’s Square. It is a historic hotel, and my families felt good staying there as they appreciate the old charm and such a historic building. The services were friendly, the rooms are clean, the special pastry (butterfly crisp) is tasty for which people lined up for 2 hours to buy. My family really enjoyed the stay there. Hotel located right across the street from People’s Square and subway station. 3 minutes walk to Nanjing Road pedestrian shopping street. The Bund is 15 minutes pleasant walk with host of shopping malls, dining facilities and movie theater along the way. The double deck tourist buses conventionally located across the street. There are 3 stops within 15 minutes walks to the Bund. Hotel staff from the front desk, concierge and room services provide pleasant and professional experiences. All questions answered. All requests within reason are very well accommodated. Thank you for the great experience with Park Hotel.

The hotel nearby MRT, People Square, provides all impressive facilities. Convenientl to travel around Shanghai. Each breakfast is included. Additionally, we got an exceptional service from the staff, Xie Xiao Yun. She managed to get us an early check-in once we arrived from a very tired red-eye flight. She even helped us purchase the famous Park Hotel deli snacks. Definitely recommend this hotel!

This hotel is wonderful，and I felt very comfortable, just like at home. The staff Ms. 伍常红 always seemed cheerful and smiling while serving guests, which made me feel very warm.

The location is good, very near to the metro station and shopping mall, lots of eatery nearby. Guest staying can order their famous butterfly pastries to save time for queueing.

This was an overnight stay for me before a next day plane. Convenient location, right next to People's Park number 2 metro stop, the line that also goes to the international airport. This is one of those old style Shanghai hotels right down to the decor, and I personally find that more interesting than the modern ones. They also gave me a free room upgrade since they had the space. English is spoken. It was an excellent stay, thank you.

The Park Hotel has been a Shanghai landmark for 90 years now and is still going strong. I appreciate the convenience of being in the city center and having at least three metro lines in front of the hotel (People’s Square station) as traffic can be bad but the metro runs reliably and on time. Their breakfast starts a bit late at 7:00am for appointments further away but it is good and with lots of choices both Chinese and Western. The historic decor is a plus in my opinion and their afternoon tea is quite lovely and, depending on your business partner and the situation, can be a good choice for a meeting in a relaxed atmosphere.
