Absolutely friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful view and lobby albeit slightly dated room. Had to wait for my room past 2pm but that was acceptable. Overall excellent! Would recommend.

Had an amazing stay here! Had a complimentary room upgrade upon check in and the hotel also accommodated my request to check out late. Room is spacious and clean. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Every hotel staff I met were very polite. Hotel is situated between Jing A Temple station and Nanjing West Road station, about a 10mins walk to both. Will definitely stay here again if I come back to Shanghai.

The Portman-Ritz is always a go to stay for the holidays. My only complaint is that the rooms are super hot in the winter even with everything off. There are no windows to open to cool the room down.

its close to our office and convenient to nearby business meeting points. also lots of restaurants and malls nearby believe its good for leisure travellers too. good service and room is clean.

With the price I paid for Ritz Carlton brand - no value . As a Ritz Carlton brand there is no coffee machine provided in room . Only give three packets of instant coffee mixed. Bedroom slipper provided are so off brand standard.

Another wonderful trip to the ritz. The Portman has a better club level to the other in Lujiazui. It feels more open, quiet and has better food.

I stayed here quite a few years back and it doesn’t look like this place has changed much. Room decor seemed very tired and worn. Lobby looks quite nice. A short 5 minute walk or so to the Jingan area.

I stayed in the Portma Ritz Carlton for 2 nights just after Christmas. The service was excellent, all of the staff went above and beyond to help me. They greeted me by name, remembered my coffee and drink orders and went to great lengths to help me. The staff in the club lounge were amazing, Lisa, Tina, Sunny, Vincent and others. The floor attendant Cici was also so helpful. The location is great, many restaurants around and short walk to The Kerry Center and Jingan temple. definitely recommend!

Very convenient place for tourist , a lot of restaurants around hotel and walking distance to Jing'an template.

In a great location near many great restaurants. Food at the included breakfast was fine but I will say...the staff in the restaurant could allow guests to be a little bit more independent and not approach the table every few minutes. Aside from that it's a brilliant hotel, will definitely recommend.

From the moment we entered the hotel, the service staff have been attentive. While initially we were a bit disappointed to know that we have to wait for 2 hours before our room is ready (yet, we were given a temporary room to recharge, which was really helpful as we had tired children with us), all the bad mood disappeared upon entering our upgraded penthouse-level suite. Our children screamed in excitement seeing the “jungle adventure” - they were so happy with the colouring kits, soft toys and the brownie bed cake! The breakfast spread was nice and the hotel location itself is perfect. Not too hectic and has plenty of restaurants nearby. I couldn’t find the indoor playground, the ritz kids areas were just small spaces at Level 1 & 11 (when in fact I chose this hotel because of reviews of their child-friendly facilities). Anyhow, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate throughout our entire stay. Definitely recommended when in Shanghai. Thank you Portman Ritz-Carlton!
