Hi Inn Hotel (Shanghai The Bund Yan'an East Road) Reviews

There is no door to separate toilet and bedroom. The bed is really hard. And what bother me the most is the smoke of cigarette from other rooms. The receptionist told me that they use ventilation system connected all rooms AND they allow smoking in room, so there is nothing they can do, except we have a sleepless night. I wonder how fire alarm system would work with that cigarette smoke?

Very polite staff, helped me to order food. The room smelled like cigarettes, though I requested non-smoking room. The mattress is hard. Location is great

Location was great being walking distance to Yu Garden, The Bund, and Nanjing Road East. It was hard to find because I arrived at Shanghai in the evening so it always a challenge looking for hotels at night. Check-in was simple because I showed my passport and desk clerk was able to organise my room booking without conversation. I found the reception, hallways, and elevator areas are in need of a facelift. The room was great with my own bathroom and I actually like a hard bed, acoustics need improvement because you can hear the conversation in the rooms next to you. For my time I just needed a place to sleep by myself, affordable and small because I was sightseeing all day and night. Coming from a country where smoking is banned inside public areas and some outdoor spaces for events. The smell cigarette smoke was everywhere, even if you shut the one window - it still found a way in. This place is ok for short stays if you can put up with it's condition and that fact people ignore the smoking signs. I found out on my last day that the nearest subway station was 200m from the hotel which was annoying because I was walking the Nanjing Road East station every day and getting off there. So maybe a simple public transport map of the nearest subway stations/bus stops at reception for tourist to take a photo of would be really helpful.

10/10 location and price but the hardest mattress I’ve ever experienced my life

Good location. Rooms are clean. Good price. Nice place to stay around the Bund. Lots of restaurants and lots of attractions around. Highly recommended.

Hotel Review The hotel is located in an excellent location, making it very convenient. The cleanliness and condition of the room are reasonable for the price. The staff are friendly and accommodating. However, the towels provided are a bit too small.

Bund scenic area was just 3-5 minutes walk away. Price is worth the room and location.

The bed was hard as the floor. Very uncomfortable sleep. The AC dripped all night as well. Everything else was good.

Great location. Literally just next to subway station exit 6 if Yuyuan Garden line 10. Everything is just a bike ride away to the bund to Nanjing road etc. However if they may please upgrade their bed mattress they have the hardest mattress I’ve ever slept in my life, u r literally sleeping on a wooden board. HaiYou hotel chains please upgrade all ur beds. This is tye 2nd branch of HaiYou I’ve stayed & their beds are all the same
