I booked a bed in a 6-bed dormitory, with AC. The dormitory is large enough, so you do not feel packed at all. The bed is a bunk bed, large enough, with a fair enough good mattress. For this dorm, you have access to an ensuite bathroom (shower + toilet) and a sink outside the bathroom. The door of the bathroom is a see through glass door, so it was a bit awkward until I put a bed sheet on it, so privacy purpose. All were clean. The WiFi could be better. The staff is nice and friendly. The location a just next to Xiaonanmen Station. Food court at the basement of the mall at Xiaonanmen station. I would definitely recommend this place for a short or a long stay

This hostel should be avoided at all costs. It is an old hotel covered into a dormitory and offered as is. It was extremely dirty with the wooden panels in the dorm being sticky to touch. The privacy curtains were stained and smelled bad. The toilet did not have any toilet paper or soap. The cleaning lady only spent 5 mins cleaning the washroom and the room everyday. Most rooms are occupied by local workers instead of travelers. These people have turned rooms into duty cluttered places. They were playing loud music in the room and others were smoking in the hallway. The hostel also does not have any lockers. There is no common area and the reception area is very dirty. The entire hostel was dirty, lacked amenities and was being lived in by messy unruly people. The location of the hostel whole not too bad is not very good locally. There are no shops nearby for food or amenities instead it has car repair shops nearby. I left after my first night instead of the originally planned 5 nights.

I definitely don't recommend dorms for foreign traveler in this place. you will share rooms with chinese who clearly consider dorms as their own house. I've never seen such mess, shoes, socks everywhere, even cooking stuff as stove...on the ground. They used to be noisy even at 1 am, talking loud, they don't know silence and manners. Plus, they have the good idea to put a transparent door for bathroom so you don't have privacy while taking shower
