We stayed in Room 300, "Hotaruya," which was clearly designated as a non-smoking room. However, the bathroom had a strong residual smell of smoke, which even spread into the inner part of the room. During check-in, when inspecting the room, I immediately pointed this out to the reception staff, but they insisted they couldn’t smell anything. After dinner, still finding the smell unbearable, I went down to the front desk to request further action. The staff assured me they would spend an hour deodorizing the room. Unfortunately, the results were ineffective, confirming that the smoke odor was not minor and persisted throughout the night, leaving me feeling nauseous at times. Even if a previous guest was a heavy smoker, please thoroughly inspect and improve the winter ventilation system in your bathrooms. One staff member claimed not to notice the smell, while another spent an hour trying to remove it with no success. I trust you can check your records to see if anyone smoked in this room, especially since you made it clear during check-in that smoking in a non-smoking room would result in a fine. This shouldn’t be an issue for the next guest—especially when it’s been explicitly pointed out. I urge your staff to take such concerns seriously. At the very least, they could remove their masks to verify the smell themselves or ask a non-smoking colleague to confirm.

We only had 1 night to stay in this beautiful paradise 🥲🤍 It was the best stay of our 10 day trip in Japan and we would definitely be back to stay here again 🤍 Location: in the Jozankei Onsen town that’s about an hour + out of Sapporo. Honestly if you’re in a group, just book a cab out, it was about $80++ for 3 of us! Otherwise remember to book the Onsen bus shuttle early in advance 🥹 Area around Onsen is nothing much besides other Onsen houses, a small cafe and other smol tourist picture spots. Back to the Ryokan: this was my first experience being in one and I’m so glad I chose this place! Mum and sister throughly enjoyed it as well, using our in room Onsen ( there’s 2!) and also the shared common Onsen with an outdoor facing the snow too ❄️☃️♨️ Service:The staff was extremely polite and efficient, seeing the reviews of them being rude was kinda uncalled for. They were nothing but kind and attentive. It is a very quiet and peaceful place , I understand the need for all guests to be maintain the atmosphere too. Food: amazing, one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan so far ♥️ the pictures below speaks for itself 🥹 private dining room to enjoy the view too🏔️ Loved small touches too like the mikimoto soaps , Dyson hair dryers ( in the public Onsen) And the chopstick souvenirs 🥹 I can’t wait to come back here again with my partner 🤍

Good onsen, sweet atmosphere, Japanese style breakfast is delicious.

I want to know what I'm saying. I want to know, I want to know, I want to know Sorry. I like the fact that I can experience high quality food and enjoy the private hot spring to my heart's content. I can drink as much as I want from the fridge, and there are plenty of toiletries and towels. The souvenir amenities are great, and the surrounding scenery is nice. However, the bathtub in the bathroom did not drain well and the drainage hole was exposed and dirty.

Although the price is not cheap, it is really worth it. The hotel has a shuttle bus from Sapporo to the hotel. The room is large and has a private hot spring bath and sauna. The kaiseki cuisine for breakfast and dinner is worth the money. All the service staff are enthusiastic and tell the name of the food in Chinese very seriously. The family members are very satisfied

While planning a winter trip to Sapporo I searched very hard and decided on this accommodation, with the intention of finishing the trip with a day of relaxation at a hot spring I was able to conveniently travel from Sapporo to the ryokan by reserving a shuttle bus It was really quiet and clean, and the food was very clean and delicious One of the reasons I chose this place was that there was an open-air bath in the room, and it was really great I regretted only reserving it for one day I definitely plan to go back next winter!!!!!

The hotel is very satisfactory, the room is large, and there is a private bath. If I remember the name correctly, Miss Gaoqiao is very cute and very patient to introduce us. I will come again if I have the chance.

The rooms are nice. I came during the fall foliage season and the view was great. The welcome food, Sablé, was very tasty. The large bath was average.

At this price, the overall hotel facilities are considered to be in line with the standards. The most noteworthy one is the private bath in the room. The bath is full of objects that appear to be gurgling. When people enter the bath, a large number of the above objects appear in the whole bath, making it look very unclean.

I really like this hot spring hotel, the stay experience is great. There is also a free bar in the evening. The old man speaks English very well and is very good at chatting👍🏻. Their specialty cocktails are delicious, their dinners are delicious, and their breakfasts are delicious.

The room was great! There was a small hot spring in the room, which was very comfortable. After soaking, my skin felt smooth and comfortable. The big pool was also very good, and the open-air hot spring was even better. Be sure to order breakfast and dinner, the kaiseki cuisine will not disappoint you.

I traveled with my sister, and it was a very satisfying trip in every way. The location, cleanliness, and even the delicious breakfast were all very satisfying. I will book this hotel again next time! Highly recommended!
