Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo Reviews

The staff services are not awful. After staying for three nights and checking out, the chunky lady refused to store my luggage. She asked for my passport right after I passed the main entrance and in the lounge area but not the front desk. I understand only a small portion of Japanese people understand English. I spoke slowly to her in English and told her I was speaking in English and surely she knows I'm speaking in English. However, she keeps using a Mandarin translation pocket device and didn't realise Cantonese language is different. I see English has been the lingua franca but that's not the lady's and her coworker's views. Try to avoid this hotel if you're a Hongkongese, *********, Mainland Chinese because more than one staff member is racist. They will just keep rolling their eyes and their facial expressions and fitgets are telling their guests only Japanese people are welcomed.

Good location, clean room, but I think the carpet on the floor has a musty smell. The receptionist provided good service.

room is not new, but equipment still in good function. No view, too disappointed.

Within walking distance to the JR train station. Good location la nice and friendly hotel reception. Close to Sapporo TV tower and Odori park

Quite old hotel but clean and does the job. Has a free public bath and massage chair inside the spa. Toiletries/ Amenities are free to get on the ground floor. No lotion. There is a common eating area at the ground floor which makes it convenient for families to eat / take out/ reheat food from the afternoon to evening. Free water and coffee is available also.

Decent functional hotel close to Sapporo Station within 5 minutes walk. Hotel staff were pleasant and welcoming.

The information in website is different. When I arrived 15:00 they said check in is 17:00 But it was written in confirmation mail 15:00 is check-in.

Stayed 2 nights at Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo in Feb 2025. The staff are friendly & helpful. They also speak good english. I called the hotel & arranged for luggage delivery from Tokyo to reach Sapporo on my check-in date. When i reached the hotel for check-in, my luggage was already inside my room. There's a convenience store just around the corner (2 mins walk) & a McD restaurant not far away from the hotel. The hotel is located 6 mins from the Sapporo metro train station where there's few other lines connecting. There's an underground shopping street just beside it (in the same building). Only 1 medium size self service laundry machine (wash & dry - coins/cards) is available on the 12th floor during my stay. They also offer laundry service at a cost. Access to the lift & room is by room card key. On the checkout date, i was able to request the hotel staff to help store my luggage bags for a few hours while we go explore around before we travel to the next destination. Overall, stay is very comfortable and recommended.

Overall experience is fine, hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Room is really small for a family of 3, 2 adults and a 6 yo. So for family travellers can take note on this, after putting 3 luggages, we barely have space to walk. Location is near Sapporo JR and Daimaru, and thats the only advantage, after that i stayed at other part of Sapporo which is more vibrant, with food and shops everywhere.

Location is good, close to station. Breakfast is yummy with western and Japanese cuisine. But  room is a bit small as expected.

Location is good and near Sapporo station. Room is pretty average and small but likely standard for Japanese room size. Cleanliness is average, stinky shower screen and dusty floor. Breakfast is bad. Could just skip the breakfast. +1 on hot bath.

End the trip at a hotel with good beds like this one. In the large shared lounge on the first floor, you can buy outside food and reheat it. The music selection is also good. The public bathhouse on the second floor is Mitsui Garden Hotel’s strength. I stayed at this hotel in Kumamoto, Tokyo, and Fukuoka.
