Hotels in Dadonghai Beach/Luhuitou Square/Serenity Coast, Sanya

The hotel has direct access to the beach, which was my favorite part of the stay. I spent a lot of time in the pool, it was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was also very good, offering a variety of options. The location is convenient, with several restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable, though not very modern. That didn’t bother me much, as I was either in the pool or the ocean most of the time. However, the bathroom had a persistent bad smell after using the shower or toilet, and the bathtub was old and drained water slowly. There is no self-service laundry :-( Airport pickup was available and very convenient. As soon as you exit the arrivals area, you just cross the street and walk for about 2–3 minutes to a designated waiting area where the van picks you up. The airport staff was very nice and they helped me get to the waiting area.

Good place to stay. Clean, handy to lots of cafes and about 10min walk to the waterfront with restaurants and entertainment. Wouldn't call it 5 star, but definitely deserved a solid 4star. We had breakfast included, everything to cover bases, mostly Chinese type food with some European options, like eggs, sausages, toasts as well as fresh fruit. Staff doesn't speak English but easy communication via translation app.

I booked for six nights, half a month in advance, so I certainly didn't expect any issues with room allocation. 1. First, we had reserved a deluxe family room, and according to the pictures, the bathroom was supposed to have a window. We arrived at 11 PM as two families and were assigned two completely different rooms. I wouldn't have even realized if my friend hadn't brought it to my attention. And this was in September, mind you – not peak season – yet instead of an upgrade, we received a *downgrade*? My room's bathroom had no window, and the bed faced two large mirrors. Seriously? I contacted the butler, who promised an upgrade for the next day, but that never materialized... (I hope you'll honor your promises in the future.) They simply moved me to the room I *should* have been in originally. Oh, and as a consolation, they sent some fruit the next day (see picture 1) – *how generous*. 2. We forgot a doll when we checked out. While it was great that the butler promptly contacted us, they then sent it back via SF Express with *cash on delivery*! Honestly, even a chain like Atour wouldn't do that. I was genuinely speechless. 3. I've never left a negative review on Ctrip before, and I won't this time either, but I hope this serves as a warning for future guests. I definitely won't be returning. 4. While the butler's responses were quick, their communication when handling issues felt consistently cold and unhelpful. The only time they became more communicative was when they were soliciting a good review at the very end. (I've already deleted the butler's WeChat account. I doubt they'll miss one customer, but this is just for your information.)

While we visit Dadonghai annually, this was our first stay at the Pearl River Garden, and the kids were absolutely thrilled by the rainbow theme during our check-in. My family and I were genuinely satisfied with every aspect. The overall hotel experience was excellent: service, cleanliness, environment, and transport links were all incredibly convenient, especially its close proximity to Luhuitou Scenic Area. In the evenings, the lively seaside nightlife street, with its beautiful scenery and delicious food, perfectly caters to young people seeking excitement. The hotel's children's play areas offered a wide range of activities, and the breakfast buffet was both delicious and varied. Our room package was excellent, and the staff were incredibly enthusiastic, helping us with our luggage. The rainbow-themed pathway provided safe and convenient direct access to the beach. The 180-degree ocean view was stunning and ideal for capturing memorable photos. Moreover, the surrounding area boasts numerous scenic spots, all very photogenic and perfect for social media check-ins.

The hotel turned out to be quite good, it justifies its four stars. The rooms were a little tired, but there was a kettle, a TV, and a refrigerator in the room. Towels are changed every day, bed linen is changed every few days, and the bathroom has a full set of accessories. There are beach towels and a mosquito fumigator. The breakfast is good, mostly Chinese-style, but there are also European dishes such as yogurt, scrambled eggs, toast, sausages, and more. The chefs are trying very hard, the food is delicious. How to do it, I would like the mattresses to be softer. It's a 10-minute walk to the beach, and there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops around. the pool in the building across the street is clean and secluded. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel. The staff speaks little English, it's better to download a translator.

Staying at the Four Seasons was such a beautiful experience 🌿✨ The whole place felt luxurious and welcoming, but what truly made it unforgettable was the bathtub on the balcony 🛁💫 Nothing beats soaking under the open sky with a peaceful view—it felt like my own little slice of paradise. Everything from the service to the atmosphere was top-tier, but that balcony bathtub is what I’ll be dreaming about until my next visit 💕

Nice hotel in a good location. It allows smoking, so if you're a non-smoker, make sure you book a non-smoking room. We had the buffet dinner one night, and it was OK. There was a lot of seafood on the buffet (I'm not a seafood eater, but there was still plenty to enjoy). The hotel definitely targets the Russian guest. One of the Service Desk staff spoke English, so that was helpful. The only downside was the open air markets that were set up for Chinese New Year in the park across from the hotel - live band playing loud music until 11pm. Earplugs were necessary.

The excellence of the Mandarin Oriental isn't just about the stunning blue ocean view from the balcony or the luxurious, high-quality bedding in the room. It's even more about the warmth of staff like Kiki, who treats guests' minor concerns as her own top priorities. She never just goes through the motions; instead, she genuinely remembers our needs and, through countless thoughtful gestures, transformed our vacation into a feeling of home-like comfort and peace of mind. Next time I'm in Sanya, I'll definitely choose to stay here again, if only to playfully tell Kiki, 'I'll be back to 'bother' you again!'

A day before arrival, a butler contacted me on WeChat and offered a complimentary room upgrade. The room assigned was quite good. Upon entering, the scent in the hotel lobby and hallways was overpowering, though the room itself had no particular fragrance. While the room felt a bit dated, it was clean, odor-free, and not damp. A minor issue was that the bath towels were quite old and stiff. The butler service was prompt in addressing my needs, but housekeeping was noticeably slow. The butler explained this was due to only one staff member being assigned to cleaning per floor. Breakfast offered limited variety, and the food was average. It seemed like about 95% of the guests were Russian. An interesting feature was that takeout deliveries could be sent to the room via robot. The hotel is very close to Dadonghai Beach, just a two to three-minute walk from downstairs. There's a swimming pool on the fifth floor, but it was largely unused, and the children's play area was empty. I assume most guests preferred to go to the beach.
