Check in (possibly the slowest in the world on our visit) is at the Crown Plaza.  Ask for directions to the old block on the other side of the pool as reception may not tell you.  Rooms are much better value than at the main hotel; just discounted as they are older.  But decent living room area and a microwave and coffee pot added.    The pool is a nice size between the two buildings.  Very helpful concierge arranged an airport taxi and pointed us in the right direction around the grounds when reception failed!

Nice hotel. All the bells and whistles. Good beds, good AC, laundry service, transportation service, great front desk, good breakfast, good dinner, strong wifi. Good location. All you could ask for. Stayed for a week. Very reasonable price. Stayed there in 2011 now in 2021. Same good quality both times. Would stay there again. Great view of the volcano.

I came to El Salvador for work and used it until I moved to an apartment. We stayed in a large room with a kitchen and washing machine. It was comfortable, but I often couldn't use the card key, so I'd like to see improvements. The staff thought it was friendly.
