"One of the best hotel I've been to, ever! The rooms are clean and spacious, the staffs were super friendly and helpful, AND the location is fantastic! I love the bathtub - good hot soak in winter, and with a great view of the city below!! As this was the first hotel we stayed after landing in China (after 10 years), we had some trouble trying to setup all the local china apps which were necessities! We setup Meituan and Wechat pay while in SG, then when we tried to use it here, both got blocked! We seek help at the counter and one of the staff, a young lady, was so helpful to bring us to a guest room beside, and helped to call the customer support of these 2 apps and speaking to them in local terms - we speak mandarin, but had challenges trying to describe ”verification”, error message we got, and how we don't have a local china number we can use here. Btw, do try to get a SIM with local number, almost every reservations and bookings they will ask for a local number here! Location : opposite, just crossing the overhead bridge is the hottest shopping street - 滨江道步行街. Turn right from the hotel entrance and walk 1 min, take the escalator up, cross over the other side, and it's the start of the shopping street! There's even a mall that can be entered right from the same overhead bridge! Oh there's a supermarket in this mall, very convenient to get fruits and replenish mineral waters. We fell in love with the sour milk ”酸奶“ which is a mix between yogurt and milk. The must try food in the shopping street is the soufflé pancake! We tried all the flavors! The famous church in Tianjin is also just around the corner street behind the hotel - this one not my fav. The kids fell in love with a prata kind of 煎饼 which was their breakfast for 2 mornings! It's just 5 mins walk (out of the hotel door, turn right to the end). If you like beef noodles and spicy fish, there is a 李先生 just beside this - best beef noodles and best 酸菜鱼 we've tasted in this trip! Especially tasty in cold winter I'm guessing! We had this for breakfast in 2 mornings! Funny we didn't see this chain anymore in Beijing. If I come back to Tianjin, I'll definitely stay in Tangla again!"

The tea room on the top floor is equipped with the tea maker collected by the boss. Last night, we drank the 90s and looked up at the stars, and suddenly understood what it was called ”the galaxy fell into the tea cup.” The dining is even more unexpected. The millet porridge cooked for breakfast is equipped with non-legacy hemp sauce eggs, and the salty fragrance almost tears at the moment of the tip of the tongue; there are various exquisite pastries and fruits in the afternoon tea wooden plate. It is more than 90 kilometers away from the city, and there are plenty of parking lawns, as if separated from the noisy world. I wanted to take my parents to feel it, but I was not thoughtful. After I checked in, I found that it was inconvenient for my parents to go up and down the stairs. I immediately communicated with the boss whether I could change the room without climbing stairs. The boss upgraded the suite for us the next day. Stayed for five days. Besides food, it is recommended to choose to bring dinner and afternoon tea when booking. The dishes that are not repeated every day are of good quality. The meat is of good quality. The weight is enough. If you don’t have enough, you can add it. Even if you want to eat, you can communicate with the housekeeper. What they can do can definitely be done. Although there is no lunch package, the housekeeper will also arrange lunch and can eat at any time. Ice cream and drinks at the homestay are free. Afternoon tea is available every day, fruit nut drinks. The boss is angry 👍 Besides the service, the boss and the housekeeper will build a group with me after check-in. It is almost 24 hours a day. The reply is quick and the meal is notified on time. Oh, there is no pre-made dishes, all are made now, and one day I specially prepared copper pot stew. We will discuss the specialties for the next day one day in advance. There was also an episode. My big dog miseats chocolate doughnuts. It was a hurry. It was evening. The store manager shared the nearest pet hospital. I didn’t dare to drive down the mountain. The housekeeper said that if I need to go to the hospital, I can drive me to the hospital. After calling the hospital, I can observe the condition of the dog first. Normally, the housekeeper went down the mountain at seven or eight o'clock and went home. I was afraid that the dog needed to go to the hospital at night. People waited until more than nine o'clock. I am grateful! The homestay is very close to Beishaolin Temple. I didn’t dare to drive up because a slope was too steep on the way to Shaolin Temple. I went directly back to the homestay. I asked the boss if I could drive us to Shaolin Temple with the mentality of trying. The housekeeper happily agreed and drove us back and forth. Originally stayed for four nights, because of special reasons, I needed to stay for another night. The boss continued to stay in the suite for one night without saying anything. In short, it is a very pleasant journey, and it is very comfortable to stay at the homestay for a few days! Thanks to the boss and the housekeeper for their warm hospitality and care! We will go again if we have the opportunity!"
