"Emeishan Grand Hotel: A Real Stay Review | Excellent Service, Great Value, but Hardware Needs an Upgrade We chose the Emeishan Grand Hotel for our family trip to Mount Emei. Overall, it offered good value for money, with both clear strengths and weaknesses. Here's an objective review for your reference! First and foremost, I must highly commend the butler service – truly exceptional and thoughtful! Even before we arrived, our dedicated butler proactively contacted us via WeChat, sending us a comprehensive travel guide for Mount Emei. They also arranged pick-up from the high-speed rail station. Upon arrival, our luggage was directly delivered to our room, making the entire process effortless and incredibly convenient. The service experience far exceeded our expectations – truly attentive and heartwarming. The location is superb! The hotel is diagonally opposite the Emeishan Scenic Area Passenger Transport Center, so you can catch a bus up the mountain right outside. There are also plenty of local specialty restaurants and snacks nearby, making both transportation and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel is a well-established four-star property and even offers intangible cultural heritage craft experiences, which are perfect for families with children. Our child had a wonderful time. The two most satisfying highlights were the hot springs and breakfast! The hotel has its own natural hot springs with excellent water quality and multiple pools. Children can splash and play to their heart's content – a fantastic experience. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich and diverse, clearly meeting the high standards of a large hotel catering to groups. There was a wide variety of options, including authentic local Chengdu snacks like Bobo Chicken and Qiaojiao Beef Noodles, all with genuine flavors. The dining experience was excellent. However, there were also two clear shortcomings that significantly impacted our rest: 1. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, especially the room carpets, which had a strong odor. On the first night, we were given a north-facing room with no sunlight, and the carpet smell was pungent, making it hard to sleep. After extending our stay and moving to a higher-floor king room on the second day, the smell improved. I suggest the hotel urgently replace the old carpets and renovate the hardware facilities. 2. The soundproofing of the windows was poor. Even after moving to a better room, there was a persistent dripping or similar noise from outside the window throughout the night, lasting until past 1 AM. This severely affected our sleep and rest. We had hoped to relax after climbing the mountain, but we didn't get a good night's sleep either night, which was quite disappointing. Overall: The service, location, hot springs, and breakfast were all impeccable, and our child particularly loved the family-friendly activities. However, the aging hardware, carpet odor, and soundproofing issues need urgent optimization. If the hardware can be renovated and upgraded, it would definitely be the top choice for accommodation in Mount Emei! Overall, it's still recommendable, and we look forward to the hotel's future improvements."

"A summer trip to Emei Mountain was made even better by this hot spring resort's ”Summer Adventure” experience – a perfect choice for families with kids! The moment you step into the hotel, you're captivated by its forest-like environment – ​​the windows offer panoramic views of rolling green hills, and every breath is filled with the fresh scent of nature. Just a 10-minute walk from the scenic area entrance, you can easily return to the hotel for a relaxing soak in the cool spring pools after exploring the area with your kids, offering privacy and convenience. The biggest surprise was coinciding with the ”Summer Adventure” event! Saturday's hot spring fun was a paradise for the kids: water battles with splashing water, kayaking races for the whole family, and a ”South-to-North Water Diversion” game testing teamwork – the children were soaking wet from head to toe, yet still clamoring for ”one more round!” The butler service was impeccable: they proactively contacted us during booking, sending scenic area guides via WeChat; upon check-in, they provided children's slippers and mosquito repellent patches; and upon check-out, simply leave your room key in the room – completely freeing up your hands. The room has its own private hot spring bath. My skin felt so smooth after soaking in it. The butler told me that the hot spring water is radon from 3,000 meters underground, rich in 24 kinds of minerals. Even my fatigue was washed away."

"Facilities: For this price point, it's excellent. The owner is quite impressive, owning several buildings that have been converted into guesthouses. Cleanliness: Extremely clean. As a newly opened guesthouse, even someone as particular about their environment as me found it perfect! Environment: The small balcony is a great touch. Service: Absolutely blown away, seriously great reviews. We came back to the hotel around 6 PM after climbing Mount Emei to pick up our belongings, intending to stay in Leshan. We had already booked our Leshan hotel when I checked the time – it was 6:28 PM. The next high-speed train was at 6:49 PM, and after that, not until 8:56 PM. I mentioned it to the owner, initially thinking of paying for a ride. But the owner was incredibly straightforward and generously drove us to the high-speed train station for free, even taking a shortcut. This is an absolutely genuine review, folks, go for it without hesitation!"

"I checked in quite late that night, and the front desk upgraded my room type. The room was very clean and spacious, with excellent facilities, including a mini-fridge. The only minor issue was the somewhat confusing layout of the light switches. The room came with a butler service, and they were very prompt in responding to any requests. When I accidentally left something behind, the butler thoughtfully mailed it to my home. The room rate included breakfast and access to the hot springs. There were many hot spring pools, all very clean, and the entire bathhouse was quite large. However, after about two hours, I felt too warm to continue soaking. There was also a complimentary late-night snack in the evening. Overall, it was a great experience and excellent value for money."

"The location of the homestay is excellent, located in the core area of the ancient town, a few steps walk to the landscape belt of the Liujiang River, which can not only avoid the noise of the main street, but also shuttle between Qingshiban Old Street and Riverside Tea House at any time. The homestay balances Zen aesthetics with modern comfort, both with the artistic conception of ”stealing a floating life for half a day”, and the privacy and quality required for girlfriends to travel. The duplex suite is worthy of the name, the duplex structure is cleverly used to make use of the height, and the duplex structure design is very good. The lower tatami area is super suitable for girlfriends to gather, drinking tea and gossip are not cramped; the upper bedroom is quiet and warm, ensuring the quality of sleep."

"This hotel impressed me right from the moment I walked in. The lobby decor is really stylish, not your typical cookie-cutter luxury, and there were fresh flowers in the corners – you can tell the owner put a lot of thought into it. The staff were incredibly friendly too, always greeting you and happily helping with any questions. The breakfast deserves a special mention. There was a great variety, both Chinese and Western options, and the food was delicious. Especially the beef noodles – the broth was so flavorful and the beef was tender. I practically drank half the bowl of soup! The only minor drawback was that the hotel was undergoing renovations, so it was a little messy, but that's understandable. I'm definitely planning to come back once the renovations are complete. I wonder if the beef noodles will still be on the menu then!"

"Here I experienced the relaxation of Sichuan people. The boss and the boss's wife were very hospitable, the room was clean and tidy, the food tasted very good, the environment was beautiful, and it is located halfway up Mount Emei, relatively close to Wannian Temple. If you don't want to drive yourself, the boss will be responsible for pick-up and drop-off. You can play mahjong here and there is a swimming pool for swimming and playing in the water. It is a really good choice. I will come again if I have the chance!"

"The service was incredibly thoughtful, with a shuttle always available for transportation. Every staff member at the hotel was enthusiastic; my son had a blast meeting handsome big brothers and pretty aunties. The breakfast buffet was delicious, featuring many local Leshan specialties. The overall environment was lovely, with lush green trees providing plenty of shade. There were many parent-child activities, but we visited when there weren't many kids around, so it was pretty quiet. My son spent most of his time happily playing in the ball pit and sandbox at the kids' play area."

"This hotel is located near Qingyin Pavilion/Wuxiangang in Emei Mountain. The overall environment is lovely and very peaceful. Traveling during the off-season was fantastic! We had the hot springs to ourselves, the restaurant to ourselves, and even the whole hotel to ourselves, hahahaha. The service was very attentive; the owner picked us up and dropped us off, and even cooked for us personally. The food was especially delicious. Room amenities were also very complete. We visited in winter, and the air conditioning was powerful, plus there was an electric blanket, so we weren't cold at night. The only minor issue was that the bathroom drainage wasn't great, and shower water would spill into the vanity area. This could definitely be improved."

"Our family of three stayed in a family room. Since our children were adults, we called ahead to confirm three beds, which were very comfortable and not crowded at all. The hotel was very nice and clean. There were three hot springs, and the front desk lady was very helpful, providing tips and services. Unfortunately, our arrival was delayed by heavy rain, preventing us from climbing Mount Emei. Instead, we drove to the nearby Liujiang Ancient Town and Guangming Temple. Guangming Temple is highly recommended, and a must-see if you're not in a hurry. The temple also offers vegetarian meals, rice paddies, lotus ponds, and a hydrangea gallery. So, even if you can't hike, staying at this hotel is a great way to relax and recuperate. It's well worth it."
