Hongzhushan Hotel

Taking advantage of the pre-Chinese New Year holiday, I brought my child to Mount Emei and booked the Hongzhushan Hotel online! It's conveniently located next to Luofeng Qingyun, surrounded by lush vegetation and fresh air, with plenty of small animals roaming around. The room was cozy and clean. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, and the forest hot spring was incredibly relaxing; my child loved it too! The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. This is an excellent forest hotel with a superb location! Definitely worth recommending for everyone to experience!

The hotel boasts picturesque views of lakes, mountains, and hot springs, making you feel like you're staying in a forest. There's a forest walking trail connecting all the buildings. If you don't feel like walking, you can simply ask the front desk to arrange a car to take you to another building or the hot spring complex, which usually arrives within five minutes – very convenient and efficient. This time, we stayed in a family room in Building 8, with two beds (1.8m and 1.2m), perfect for a family of three. The service was excellent. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the friendly greetings from the cleaning staff, every employee was smiling and incredibly accommodating. The hot spring complex offers a variety of indoor and outdoor pools. While we were enjoying the hot springs, it started to snow lightly on Emei Mountain. Soaking in the outdoor pool while feeling the cool, melting snowflakes on our faces was incredibly relaxing. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Emei Mountain, and we'd love to try Building 7, which features hot springs in the rooms.

Overall, my experience was quite good, as expected from a state guesthouse. The hygiene and security were excellent. Building Five has many room types, but some have a wall right outside the window, which is a bit of a bummer. Breakfast was a highlight; definitely try the tofu pudding and sweet-skinned duck. The environment is lovely, with a lake perfect for a scenic stroll. The night views are also very nice. There's a shuttle service to and from the hot springs, but it was disappointing that some pools were under maintenance without any prior notice. The hotel is conveniently located near Baoguo Temple and Fuhu Temple, both within easy walking distance. There are even peacocks and sika deer near the entrance to see. The service was great, with a dedicated client manager available for assistance. Overall, it's definitely worth another visit!

Folks, I've found a hidden gem! This hotel boasts an unbeatable location – perfect for exploring nearby attractions or grabbing a bite, everything is super close and transportation is a breeze. The moment you step in, the ambiance is just fantastic. With mountains and a lake, and mist drifting over the water, it’s clean, tidy, and cozy, exuding a real sense of luxury. The staff's service attitude was absolutely impeccable; they were warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, showing professionalism and care in every detail, which made me feel truly welcome. But the highlight has to be their hot springs. The water is crystal clear and the temperature just right, incredibly relaxing. There’s a rich variety of pools with different benefits, catering to all needs. My stay was absolutely amazing, exceeding all expectations in every aspect. I'll definitely be back – five stars are a must!

Room facilities: Way too old! Building No. 5 only looks grand in the lobby; the rooms are definitely not five-star material. The tiny TV, the door that lets in drafts from both top and bottom (you can clearly hear hallway noises), a runaway sink stopper, and a toilet seat that slams down without a soft-close mechanism – every detail screams its age. Breakfast: Up to five-star standards, with a wide variety and good taste. However, it seems the hotel's chefs aren't particularly skilled in Western-style baking; there were no cream-based desserts for the two days we stayed, just various breads. Service: The service was enthusiastic, and the shuttle reservation for pick-up/drop-off was excellent. As for the 'Chuan Shiba Zi' (wearing 18 beads) activity that was part of the hotel booking, the experience was mediocre. We had to find staff to arrange it, and it was delayed from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM. We had to walk from Building No. 5 to Building No. 7, with no shuttle available because they were all busy with pick-ups and drop-offs [facepalm emoji]. Hot Springs: If you want fewer crowds, go in the afternoon. From 7-8 PM onwards, it gets increasingly busy. We happened to be there when China Life Insurance had an event, luckily we left early, otherwise, it would have been as crowded as dumplings in a pot.

I visited this hot spring many years ago; it's considered an old-established five-star resort hotel in Emei Mountain. This time, I stayed over New Year's Day, and the overall experience was quite good. ✅Service: 1️⃣ The high-speed rail pickup/drop-off service is very convenient, using mid-sized vehicles or business vans. 2️⃣ Check-in was smooth, and even during the holiday, we didn't wait too long. However, room cleaning took quite a while; one room wasn't ready until almost 4 PM. 3️⃣ Room supplies were replenished promptly, either by robot or staff delivery. 4️⃣ Building 5 is about 400m from the hot springs, and there's a shuttle bus available. ✅Facilities: 1️⃣ We stayed in Building 5. I heard it was renovated, but perhaps only the first floor was. The rooms on upper floors still have an old-fashioned style. However, the children's rooms on the first floor are decorated with child-friendly elements, including a kids' table and small stools. There's no seating for adults, though. I suggest adding a small sofa or chair, as sitting on the bed isn't very convenient. 3️⃣ The room had a multi-port charger, which was useful, although it charged devices a bit slowly. ✅Environment: 1️⃣ The natural environment is excellent, with lush trees. A walk by the lake is very pleasant. 2️⃣ The hot springs maintain their usual high standard. ✅Dining: 1️⃣ The buffet breakfast is in Building 5. The selection isn't huge, but it's sufficient. You can also go to Building 7, but there's an additional 40 RMB per person surcharge. 2️⃣ The restaurant in Building 5 also offers dinner with a good à la carte menu. The portions and taste are both excellent. I highly recommend the cold dressed mustard greens – absolutely delicious! ✅Entertainment: 1️⃣ Besides the hot springs, there's a children's playground by the hotel lake where you can feed animals. Indoors, you can play table tennis and mini desktop curling. 2️⃣ Baoguo Temple is within walking distance of the hotel. ❌Complaints: 1️⃣ Room soundproofing is poor, especially in the children's rooms on the first floor. It gets very noisy, particularly during peak check-in times in the afternoon! I suggest either improving the soundproofing or having the butler remind guests to keep their voices down in the hallways. 2️⃣ The road leading from the hotel to the main street has no pedestrian walkway, and the roadside is completely lined with parked cars. 3️⃣ The lighting in the children's room is too dim, especially on cloudy days, even with all the lights on.
