The check-in process is very complicated and inconvenient for travellers. The room is very small and poorly maintained. We felt uncomfortable right after getting into the room, but we had to stay for three nights. There are no marked prices for the water inside the refrigerator, so we thought they were free, but the staff charged us when we checked out. Not recommend it at all!

Expensive for what I got but i do appreciate that Rome is a capital city and there is a price to pay for that, no breakfast included, my breakfast cost as per Trip.com was agreed at €10 but It was indicated to me at check-in that breakfast would cost €15. Airconditioning was not functioning properly.

We were very unimpressed with this hotel and if we were spending any more than the one night I would have gone elsewhere, knowing full well our booking was non-refundable. This was our last night of a two week holiday in Italy and we wanted to splurge a bit and stay somewhere “nicer” so willing to pay more than many other places. Trevi Fountain was the last stop on our travels so decided to stay at the Trevi Hotel. Read the reviews and looked at the pictures and felt confident we made a good choice. Then we got there. To start, the girl at the front desk was not overly friendly, it took forever to get checked in and there was no bathroom in the lobby. Then, they didn’t even put us in a room in the hotel building. They checked us in then proceeded to walk us out the door, down an alley, and into to a totally separate building. The “lobby” contained an old dingy couch and some cleaning equipment. It felt like we had walked into a broom closet. It was so dark we could hardly see and it stunk of mildew. The hallway was so tight the luggage almost didn’t fit through. There were a few other rooms with doors all very close together and we could hear EVERYTHING. The room was small and dark and had an awkward ledge in the floor we kept tripping over. The “queen” bed was just two singles pushed together. The bathroom had no fan and no window and the shower leaked. After showering, the whole hotel room had filled up with hot steam and the floor was wet. The air conditioning didn’t work. The fan turned on but seemed to be circulating air from someone else’s bathroom as it immediately added a pungent smell to the already uncomfortable environment. So we decided to open the window to let in fresh air, only to discover the window was adjacent to the entrance of an archeological building in the narrow alley and it was filled with tourists. As we were on the ground level we now faced about 30 people looking straight into our hotel room. And this was how it stayed until about 9pm. Then from 9 until about midnight we were subjected to constant noises of businesses taking out their bottles and trash and cigarette smoke wafting in the window (which every time we shut were reminded of the reason we opened it to begin with), then the street cleaner woke us up around 6:30am blasting water onto the wall right outside our room. We had to shut the window to stop the spray from coming right in.
Breakfast was okay, other than having to trek back to the main building, take the elevator to the 4th floor, then climb the stairs to the fifth floor where the breakfast room was. The whole experience was just ridiculous.

We got moved to another building round the corner on a busier street but this wasn’t an issue as we were allocated a bigger room. Everything was walking distance. The only issue was that we could not turn the air con off. Every time we turned it off it would come back on so we had to sleep with the electricity off.

Really easy check in, helpful staff, fantastic location by Trevi fountain with lots of choice of places to eat/drink. My room was quite small but considering it was just me that was ok, the bed was super comfortable and the room was serviced to a really good standard. The only reason it’s not a 5 is down to a strange power surge noise that would happen and the lack of natural light. But these wouldn’t put me off staying here again

We were booked for the Trevi hotel but it was overbooked. They transferred us to another of their properties which was excellent and included breakfast as a courtesy. The new hotel was an upgrade from the trevi. The Al Manthia was fantastic! The rooms are just awesome.

We got here at 11h and check is was only at 3pm ; without even asking they decided to upgrade our room so we would have 2 rooms as we were tra Eli g with our kids AND the upgraded room was ready immediately ! There is a lobby to check in but the hotel room was actually a few streets away. The bellman walked with us to our room and showed us where everything was super nicely.
- the mini fridge was stocked with Coca Cola, juice water beer and wine (2 of everything !) we were there 3 days and used everything. Surprisingly the extra charge was only 15 euro !
- great location about 50meters (exactly 80 seconde walk) from the trevi fountain.
- the street is really buisy with all the restaurants and merchants and shops but being on the 3rd floor we heard nothing and felt very safe. Would recommend 100% and would go back here if we came to Roma again.

Combined long week end trip to watch England v Italy rugby and site see. Hotel perfect location to walk to attractions and as long as you like walking, to the Stadio Plympico for the rugby with a drink or two on the way. The hotel breakfast was excellent value at ten euros pp, continental as well as bacon, , egg, toast, sausage (Frankfurter type) and cereals & juices etc.

The room was great.
but the elevator was poor.
the room wasn't in the same building as the Lobbie so it was an inconvenience (200-300 meters)
breakfast was in a small and crowded room

The location is fantastic - it is literally next to the Trevi Fountain!
However, there was no window, and it felt like I was in a tiny littly fancy prison cell. I asked to borrow an iron, but was told its a fire hazard (Sketchy because there was a hair dryer and kettle in the room) I could use an iron but needed to walk 5 minutes away to go get one. The price was pretty high considering the tiny room, with no window. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

We did not stay in the main hotel, this was true of both our Rome hotels- so guessing it is common. We were taken a couple blocks away to a separate building, right next to a very good pizzeria. The room was very small, but cozy. The breakfast at the main hotel terrace was great, location was very near everything in the city center.

The hotel transferred us to another building that we didn't like, as we had booked for the hotel location and nothing was explained to us, and the location didn't even have a reception and wasn't even a hotel. BUT TRIP.COM gave us full support and attention, they responded to us at any time, I highly recommend booking through them, I just don't recommend the hotel, which didn't fulfill what was agreed. Before booking, check with them carefully, otherwise they will send you somewhere else.

The location of the hotel is excellent, next to the Trevi Fountain in Rome and very close to the shopping center, but they are located in a narrow back street, and the rooms are not in the same building but on the top floor of another building more than 50 meters away. Dragging luggage on uneven roads is very damaging to the suitcases. The building we live in is a very old one. The elevator is very small and can only accommodate two people. Also, if the door on a certain floor is not closed properly, the elevator will not move and you have to climb 5 flights of stairs every minute. The room was ok but the water temperature in the shower was hard to control, either too hot or too cold. There were ants in the room, the Dango cake I bought the previous night was ruined, and worse still, the water in the kettle had a lot of sediment and I had no hot water to drink for two days. The front desk service is very general. I spent over 2,000 yuan for a two night stay, and it was a complete waste. Definitely not recommended.
