Novotel Manila Araneta City Hotel

We had a pleasant 2-night stay at Novotel (room only, no breakfast). Service was excellent (they provided a cake for us to celebrate our anniversary, and we asked for late check out which they kindly accepted), The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Good wifi connection if you need to work. The location is great with lots of cafes, restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The gym is open 24/7 (attended 6am-11pm) and there is a steam room but we didn’t use it. The gelato on 1F was pretty good! Couple of areas for improvement: - the walls were thin so we could hear people next door talking, or the shower adjacent to ours - our rainfall shower did not work and there is no shower door so the floor got a bit wet - there are not many amenities available - only body wash, shampoo, hand wash, body lotion, toothbrushes

Our two-night stay is a superb. We got to relaxed and enjoyed the pool. The staff are so accommodating (even until midnight). Comparing to other 5-star hotels in Manila, this hotel captured my heart so far. Thanks to Ms. Manpreet Singh and the staff. Great service! Also tried the Alejo restaurant of the hotel, the Rib-eye Steak is perfect. And the Inasal was unexpected too - again the dishes captured my heart. My two-day breakfast in this restaurant was extremely satisfying. I love the bacon and pastries! Got to enjoyed the food and brought a different experience here in Manila.
Gilmore Tower Suites By SMS Hospitality

Got a great deal online, booked for two nights as I had a wedding to attend in one of the nearby churches and thought to turn it into a weekend staycation with the kids. The suite was spacious, with one restroom per floor. The kitchen came with a stove, but the electric water kettle didn't work. A microwave would have been nice, since the kitchen did not come with any cooking equipment. The beds were comfortable, though the pillow in the smaller room was really lousy, hardly any form left to it at all. Towels and basic toiletries were provided, as well as some water bottles. The A/C units worked well all weekend, and it was close to several establishments. There was an option to use the pool if we wanted. The elevators - horrible. Day 1 was fine, but every day we stayed, less and less elevators worked. By checkout time we had to take the stairs all the way down from the 10th floor with all out luggage because only one unit was servicing all floors. Guards and staff were friendly and accommodating. Parking was super tight squeeze. All in all, good for a basic stay but not more than that.
Red Planet Quezon Timog

For someone who needs a base to explore Quezon City whether alone or with a travel companion, Red Planet Hotel in Quezon Timog offers a budget-friendly and safe accomodation. While the cheapest rates do not include food services, there are a lot of diners, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance. There are also a bunch of convenience stores around ready to serve you. Getting booked-in was very simple just taking a few minutes. Unfortunately, the internet signal was not good enough to conduct zoom meetings, and a maintenance of the hot water system occurred during my stay. But overall, the relaxation and comfort, combined with the security, cleanliness and general quiet provided, made the stay a top-class experience.
Red Planet Cubao Aurora Boulevard

Hotel - the hotel is very convenient. Walking distance from Araneta Bus Stop which is about 10minutes. Very near to everything including train stations, malls and convenience store. Experience - Arrived at the hotel around 12nn. Friendly staff from security and Front desk, they are very accommodating and can entertain your answers. Room - we have twin room stayed for 2 nights. One of the bedsheet has stain. Bath mat was dirty. No daily housekeeping. No drinking water amenities. Hair blower smells like a burning wire. But Television has a descent channels, AC took time to get colder but still acceptable. No telephone service in the room. Dont expect the view of the room to be nice. One of the edge of the hotel is the location. Hoping they would improve on the negative aspects. As I still prefer to stay here.
