Hotels in Eight Great Passes/No.1 Bathing Beach, Qingdao

This was the best hotel I’ve stayed in while in China. There is a reason why it’s number 1 in Qingdao. From the moment I walked in I was looked after by staff, particularly Eric and Crystal, who made sure I was able to have the best full experience. The view of the ocean took my breath away and spent lots of my time in the hotel because it was that beautiful!! Thank you again Eric and Crystal for making my first time to Qingdao so special :) I highly recommend you book this place!!

Location is excellent, with an exit to Metro Line 3 just outside the hotel, 2 mins walk away. The street behind the hotel also has lots of local eateries then there's a big mall just across the road. Room is a good size and I'm impressed that everything comes in a sanitized/disinfected sealed packaging, including all the towels! Gives a strong comfort on hygiene. The sockets are all universal, so no need for adaptors. It's also a smart room installed with Xiao Du AI with voice command capability. The shower water pressure is strong. Bed is firm and they've got both the firm foam pillow and soft ones to fit different preferences. The room also came with a free fruit platter and ample complimentary bottled water. I also like that the room doors come with inspiring quotes. Each level has a washing machine and dryer and small microwave. The lobby is huge and staff are friendly and helpful. If I must find fault, it's probably in the security in the sense that the lift does not require key card access so anyone can just come up to the rooms. Though I did not experience anything unsafe during my stay. A truly 5* experience at 4* pricing. Certainly my choice hotel the next time I return to Qingdao.

While my trip to Qingdao had many aspects, I particularly want to highlight my hotel experience – I was extremely satisfied! The facilities possess a unique charm, genuinely transporting you back to the Republican era. The cleanliness was absolutely impeccable; I even used a disposable face towel to wipe down all surfaces myself, confirming that not a speck of dust could be found. When I mentioned I had mosquito bites, a kind, bespectacled lady at the front desk immediately provided me with ointment – truly thoughtful service! The hotel's location is perfect, right on Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. Zhanqiao Pier, St. Michael's Cathedral, and the train station are all just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel's buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options too. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Qingdao.

The room was spotless and well-equipped, featuring a charming retro-style courtyard design. Most importantly, it's located right on Shangjieli Pedestrian Street, which I consider Qingdao's best spot for photos, shopping, and soaking in the local vibe (Yinyu Lane is close but doesn't compare). As soon as you step out, you're surrounded by various small shops, so you'll have no trouble finding food, drinks, or entertainment. Don't bother booking breakfast with your room; there are plenty of breakfast options right across the street. You're also right on the famous Zhongshan Road. The Cathedral is just a short walk away, and if you head south for about 800 meters, you'll reach Zhanqiao Pier, perfect for playing in the sand by the sea. On your way back, a seafood meal at '1937' is highly recommended and truly satisfying. The hotel also has a designated, very convenient parking lot, just about a 5-minute walk away. For day two, if you plan to drive to Badaguan, simply search for 'Badaguan Scenic Area Taipingjiao 1st Road Ground Parking Lot' for convenient parking. From there, you can walk along the coast directly to Huashi Lou (Flower Stone Building) and then explore the area's other attractions at your leisure.

The Huanghai Hotel I booked for the May Day trip is in a good location, close to the surrounding attractions and the beach. The breakfast is rich in variety, and the staff is warm and professional. The sea view in the room is very beautiful. The above are good reviews, and here are the shortcomings: Because it is an old hotel, the room facilities are indeed average, and there is a problem of air leakage in the window of the room I stayed in. The shower head switching operation is troublesome and unclear. In addition, the takeaway can only be delivered to the takeaway cabinet downstairs. It is recommended to add a robot to deliver it upstairs.

The location is excellent! It takes only a few minutes to walk to the scenic spot. The room has a wide view, the decoration is artistic and stylish, the facilities are complete, the location is quiet and convenient, and you don't want to leave when you stay here. Qingdao really makes people not want to leave once they come!

The hotel is comfortable near the train station, but the noise outside the car honks all the time. Due to traffic jams due to the fact that the bus was not at the stop to deliver passengers. - Internet connection is not convenient for tourists who do not have Chinese/local numbers. - The room amenities provide a very good experience, including Welcome Fruit, coffee and aroma, and the housekeeper is very attentive to the customer

The second time I stayed here, next to Huashi Tower in Badaguan Scenic Area, it is suitable for families with the elderly. Some buildings do not have elevators, and the restaurant is convenient for eating, but the taste and variety are limited.

The location is excellent, the beach is just across the road, and you can flush back to the room, which is very convenient. The hotel is an old house newly installed, no problem with hygiene, and the hardware is excellent. But the service is recommended to strengthen. One is breakfast. The hotel does not include breakfast, the price of 48 people is expensive in the same grade hotel, and the child above 1.2 is the adult price. After staying for a few days, I found that there was almost no one in the breakfast restaurant. It seems that everyone felt expensive. The two are check-out time. I received a short message before check-in, saying that the check-in was pushed from 14 o'clock to 16 o'clock, but I insisted on 12 o'clock when I checked out. Even if I delayed it until 13 o'clock, I didn't agree, and I said it was a reference to international standards. What is the service level? Check-in time is pushed, check-out time is dead and unchanged? What a double standard!

This time I went to Qingdao for vacation and stayed in this hotel, which left a deep impression on me. Let me start with the good things: the hotel is in a prime location, very close to the subway, which makes travel convenient, and there are many restaurants around, so you can eat whatever you want. The hotel breakfast is very good, tastes good, and has a rich variety. The hotel rooms are cleaned in a timely manner, safe and hygienic. What's even better is that the hotel's services are quite good. The sister who cleans the room is enthusiastic and polite, and the service of the hotel's front desk clerk is even more professional. Because I had requirements for the smart toilet cover in the room I stayed in, all departments of the hotel responded in a timely manner and tried every means to meet my needs. Their service really reflects a high level, and they are anxious about the customers' needs and think about what the customers think.
