The location is good, which is in the laoshan district, half an hour driving from qingdao north railway station. Took the whole family to the polar ocean park. By the way, the ocean park is a must visit. We can see both the polar bear and the penguins, as well as the dolphin/ whale/ seal performance. Cleaning service is satisfactory. Thanks to “张冬梅” who provided high standard service and gave us extra drinks. We request kids slippers on the first night and then the second day we found out both kids slippers and tooth brush are in the room. Very proactive

This considerate gesture allowed us to freshen up and kick-start our adventure, setting a positive tone for our stay. During our visit, there was a minor hiccup with housekeeping - a misplaced pair of Nike Air Max shoes. Thankfully, the vigilant receptionist swiftly resolved the issue, locating and returning the missing item promptly. To make amends for the inconvenience, they went the extra mile, offering a small gift and complimentary breakfast coupons as a gesture of goodwill. Such attentiveness to guest needs is truly commendable. While we chose to explore authentic local cuisine during our trip, bypassing hotel dining, I cannot provide feedback on the food quality or variety. In terms of location, this hotel scores points for convenience. Taxis are readily available, and it took us just 30 minutes to reach the stunning Laoshan Mountain, a must-visit destination. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to a bustling night market right across the street adds to its appeal. However, there's room for improvement, notably in the cleanliness department. The bathrooms, in particular, left much to be desired, with an unpleasant odour lingering during our stay. Broken equipment, such as the wardrobe, was also in need of repair. Furthermore, the electric kettle was not up to our cleanliness standards, discouraging its use. The hotel housekeeper Xiao Cao provided very good service, the accommodation environment was great, the room was clean and tidy, the facilities were complete, and it was as comfortable and warm as home. The hotel has a superior location, convenient transportation, and many attractions around it. You can feel the atmosphere of tourism when you go out. Holiday Inn Expo is a nice hotel, but it’s in the middle of nowhere. There are no shops or restaurants nearby. It’s even difficult to waimai food to the hotel. There is a subway stop within walking distance, but iOS’s a 20 min subway ride from anything of interest. This morning at 7am, I was awoken by loud construction noise. So annoying! What hotel allows construction to happen at 7am. I was thoroughly looking forward to sleeping in on my weekend vacation. 😡

Came here on a business trip and chose Novotel Hotel. The experience was great! As soon as I arrived at the hotel, the exterior was grand and upscale, and the lights were on at night, creating a full atmosphere. The room was spacious and tidy, the layout was reasonable, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the office and leisure area was also very practical. It was comfortable and comfortable to live in. I ordered some delicious food in the evening. The grilled skewers were tender and fragrant, the instant noodles were tasty, and paired with fresh beer and cola soda, it was simply too good! I read many reviews before booking. And I will happily return in future. I am an overseas Haier employee and the closeness to Haier is excellent, and the connection with the Metro Station. As other reviewers have said - the noise from other rooms is sometimes disturbing. Hearing loud voices and even snoring. But not so bad that it would keep me from coming back.
