Hotels in Chengshiyangtai Scenic Area/West Coast, Qingdao

Overall it’s a nice hotel. The room was clean, beds were cozy and it was not noisy. It is literally 100 meters far from the subway station so it’s easy to move around. A bit far from the beach, the closest beach (Golden beach) were one can swim is 30 min by car. Breakfast is Chinese style and affordable, 15 yuan per person.

Excellent, another perfect vacation! The hotel facilities were fantastic, with a large pool and a gym that even had a squat rack – oh my gosh, I absolutely loved it! The weather was great, and the views were stunning. The island itself is very quiet, with beautiful scenery. The evenings were cool, and riding a bike with the sea breeze blowing was incredibly pleasant. We were lucky enough to be there during the full moon (the 15th of the ***** month), and seeing the big, round moon over the sea was truly breathtaking! There are all sorts of vehicles available for rent on the island – bicycles, electric scooters, and even colorful, fancy ones. You can rent whatever you like to tour the island, which is very convenient. Just off the island is the massive Sunac Mall, and I mean *massive*. It has every kind of food, drink, and clothing imaginable, whether you've seen it before or not. On the first floor, there's also a Sunac Land amusement park, which is a lot of fun. The hotel staff were all quite friendly and helpful. Finally, a few minor drawbacks: breakfast was incredibly crowded, though thankfully the hotel had an overflow restaurant available, which was a lifesaver. The TV in the room was quite old and couldn't screen mirror. Also, the hairdryer wasn't very powerful.

some of the common areas were a little shabby but the inside of the room was beautiful and the view was great. Getting to the nearby market was a bit of a walk but that is the only negative I have about my stay. The service was good and the breakfast was good as well.

The sea view was stunning, and the service was great. There was a bit of a wait during check-in, and the front desk mentioned they were fully booked. I initially thought it was just an excuse, but after seeing how crowded the restaurant was the next morning, I completely understood. There was a sweet and kind young lady with a round face at the front desk; I wish I had caught her name. I really wish buffet restaurants would implement a system to fine guests for food waste; it pains me to see food being squandered. Alternatively, offering a small gift to children who finish their plates could be a wonderful way to reward families for not wasting food and encourage good habits over time.

If you are getting off near West Qingdao station, this is your hotel to go. It was the best hotel I stayed in Qingdao. Huge spacious very clean high-tech room, polite staff, good service. The hotel felt like it was totally new and it was the biggest room I stayed for a cheap price during my stay in Qingdao. If you need a place around West Qingdao station, this is your hotel to go.

Overall the hotel staff and service are 4 star. What makes the hotel 5 Star are the rooms and facilities. It is clean, safe, and well maintained. To be fair, I did arrive in early April during the off-season but I was not impressed with the service provided. Staff was consistently difficult to find, or would be crowded all in the lobby. Check-In and Check out was easy and the staff are very nice. International guests be aware, few to no staff speak English or communicate in any other language. The breakfast was not good. Cold and hard food, empty plates, drinks and foods not being refilled, and then having the lights turned off after breakfast was finished being served. Few selections, mainly cheap foods and breads. There are no staff outside, during my time there. No bell hops, no one to guide you to the front desk (Because it is not easy to find at first), no one to help with your luggage. A single staff member stands at the front of the lobby after you enter to greet you. Positives - The room was spacious and very clean. It had most things I needed and the quality of the room and bathroom was excellent. The balcony looked over the courtyard and the ocean which people can see you if you go out but was a nice addition. The island the hotel is on has everything close by and most taxis/Didi’s will pick you up within five minute The area has been developing for many years and is getting better each year. The Qingdao Beer Festival ground are close by (about 30 minutes drive) during the summer, but most activities are in the city about one hour drive away for the rest of the year. For this hotel, the room and facilities are the focus as they are well taken care of and maintained. I am not sure if I would return.

The room is very big and worth the money. Facilities: very complete Sanitation: very good Environment: good Service: The guy at the front desk is very good. To be honest, the price is very suitable for this service. I recommend everyone to stay here when you come to play.

The hotel has a parking lot and the rooms are newly renovated. The front desk took the initiative to upgrade the room. The breakfast was rich in variety and there was breakfast tea. The girl was very considerate and gave snacks and drinks in the evening. The front desk gave souvenirs after check-out. As expected, great value for money

The surrounding environment is very good, the hotel service is in place, the swimming pool is very clean, and there is a children's pool. The temperature is still a bit low during the May Day holiday, and the water temperature of the swimming pool is not very high. It will be cold if you don't move around, and the locker room is also cold. The beach opposite is suitable for catching the sea and strolling with children. There are convenient restaurants and entertainment nearby, and it is a good place to take children on vacation. Xingguang Island just held the Huabiao Award Ceremony. The only imperfection in the room is that I didn't find the exhaust fan, and the air conditioner was not turned on in this season, so the air circulation in the room was not very good. The room I stayed in was close to the elevator entrance, and there was noise. I don't know if it was the elevator or something else.

The room was very clean, well-equipped and quiet. The girls at the front desk were skilled and kind. They gave a small gift to the child, who accidentally broke a toothbrush cup. The male staff with glasses at the front desk gave a discount very happily. The weather was quite hot when checking out. They sent mineral water and greeted us at the door. They were very enthusiastic. The only drawback was that the gold stamping on the laundry bag would be washed off... In short, the service was considerate, the facilities were OK, and the environment was quiet. Good review~
